  1. Wife doesn't want to loose face at the village amphur. Can we divorce in Bangkok ?

    Evening all, After 20 years of marriage, the wife and I have simply grown apart and require a divorce, the problem is she doesn't want to get divorced in the local village amphur we married in, all about face or loosing face !! I am currently living in Bangkok and she lives in the UK with my children, she is coming to Thailand in April with the children for a holiday and has agreed to get divorced in Bangkok but definitely not the village, can you please advise me where would be the most convenient amphur or consulate to obtain the divorce. I live in Sukhumvit area . I plan to visit the Amphur or consulate etc prior to her arrival to ascertain exactly what is required for a speedy divorce which is un contested ! Many thanks in advance
