  1. I always spend a week or two checking the retailers websites before I go in. I've been using Thai Watsadu and they always knock something off the marked price and let me have a couple smaller items including a very nice little bench top griller/oven for 30% off when I bought a new washing machine recently.
  2. Hey mate, I see they have painted the "middle" bridge in West Coast colours.
  3. Anyone up for the AFL 2026 tipping comp? https://aseannow.com/topic/1094760-australian-rules-football-afl-chatting-tipping-and-news/page/599/#comment-20400729
  4. 20 bucks for a liter glass of beer in Paris in '92. Wasn't bad though, I'd walked about 20 miles and was as dry as the proverbial lime burners boot. One was enough, picked up a six pack for about 5 bucks and took it back to the hotel.
  5. Many ISPs provide pre-configured routers or modem-router combos. They may: Lock down the router’s admin interface, preventing you from changing DNS settings. Use custom firmware that doesn’t allow DNS changes without special access codes. Push DNS settings automatically via DHCP or their own configuration protocols (like TR-069), which override manual changes.
  6. I cannot access MEGA without a VPN, I've been told that I should change the DNS settings but they wont let me do that either.
  7. Is that about the same percentage that came from Queensland?
  8. Hopefully we will see you showing us how winning the tipping comp is done next year?
  9. The Crows game was very low standard, the last quarter in particular was disgraceful. The Adelaide Advertiser has been whipping the fans into a frenzy this week so the expectations will be huge again. Interesting to see if they keep Walker next year, a big game player he is not.
  10. Some of the margins were hard this year with some huge wins. I usually don't do well with them but tried a bit harder towards the end of the season when it seemed that they would be important.
  11. I think that in the last 40 games West Coast are ahead 24-16.
  12. Well done Will for running the comp again, a few more punters would be nice though, I might give it a plug around the forum next year and maybe we can all refer a few mates too it. The season has been largely dissed by scribes this year, there have certainly been a lot of one sided games, with a few clubs not looking to improve for a season or two to come yet. Once again, the secret to tipping success? Watch what the bookies are doing, they don't stay bookies for long with bad judgement...
  13. Thank you, thank you, I took an Imodium for my colitis this morning but kept off them all through the season, chocolates to Chook for keeping me honest once I hit the front and to Rip for scaring the cr#p out of me in the last round. 👍
  14. I think in my last winning season I knocked off second by a single margin point.
  15. I think the umpiring has been fairly ordinary all season. Hysteria all round about Rankine, even some Port "supporters" are having a moan. It's not rocket science, the days when pro sportsmen could do and say what they like on and off the field, are long gone, a couple of decades of destroyed careers, even Jail time has sent a strong message.
  16. Could change the whole scenario if Rankine gets three or four games. https://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/afl/afl-set-to-investigate-alleged-offensive-slur-made-by-an-adelaide-player-towards-collingwood-opponent/news-story/2f7e8c163b977ccfb7c502bb4275dcd9?amp
  17. ‘I will take the call’: Nathan Buckley says ‘compelling’ Demons could lure him back to coaching Collingwood great Nathan Buckley says he would take a call from Melbourne president Brad Green, declaring the Demons are a compelling reason to consider a coaching return. Buckley, the former Magpies coach (2012-21) who guided the club into the 2018 grand final, is keen to return to the senior ranks, having left the Magpies through the 2021 season. While also on the radar of the fledging Tasmania Devils, who are slated to join the league in 2028, Buckley confirmed on Wednesday he would be interested in discussing Melbourne’s plans with club brass. “I have spoken about my life and how I enjoy the balance I have at the moment. It would need to be something quite compelling to leave this. The Devils’ timeline was good because it was out there, it was on the horizon, this one is a little bit sharper, isn’t it?” Buckley told SEN on Wednesday. “I would take the call and I would have the chat, but there still would have to be a lot that would have to fall into place for me to leave this position of comfort that I have discovered.” He later added: “I think the Melbourne prospect is quite compelling. There is, obviously, a lot that needs to settle and evolve there, but big club, storied history, the experience in the playing group is unquestioned, and I like their young group of players as well. In that sense, there is a compelling case there in terms of opportunity, but there is plenty of water to go under the bridge.” But Essendon great and former coach James Hird has ruled himself out. “No, I think I have said previously, I am flattered someone would think about it, but no, that’s not something I would [consider],” Hird told Footy Classified on Tuesday night. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/i-will-take-the-call-nathan-buckley-says-compelling-demons-could-lure-him-back-to-coaching-20250806-p5mkpa.html
  18. I see the mighty Nathan "figjam" Buckley saying that he would honor you with his brilliance. The club must be scrambling for the phone now.
  19. You and Alex both had a go at changing your positions.
