I always say when it comes to visa pls. do it right with and even it takes time but eventually you will get it. Bending here and there got you sweating cover it up only going to get worse once they find out.

the agencies in pattaya, ( no not all of them sorry) offer to take your phone bills, bank statements etc and doctor them. this really f**d me off, primarily because as a businessman, it could have caused me problems back here inthe UK. the one we nearly went with was actually laughing when I told him we were not interested in lying.

all I can say is beware of the "agencies", from what I have seen they are mostly fly by night ops, and its not their relationship that gets screwed up.

Does the rule still exsist that if you have had a 6 month tourist visa you must spend 6 months in your host country before you re apply.

this is the very same advice he gave me in another forum, on the same subject. I have already told him it is not true.

FWIW I was v fortunate to have a long chat with Scouser a few months ago, and called him to thank him the other day. not only is he up to date with his info, but is factual not guess work. I managed to have two denials overturned inside an hour.

the problem seems tobe that everyone thinks they are an expert, and "services" seem to pop up everywhere, mostly with rubbish info and poor if any experience.

as this is only my second visit to LOS, and I am going to arrive in BKK 31st December, has anyone got any good ideas as to where to go, and perhaps an indication as to what actually happends in BKK on New years Eve.

I am staying just off Sukhumvit Rd, Soi7, so quite central me thinks. Oh and I will not be alone so dont need a guide to knocking shops thanks, ( I have the hardback edition already ta)

Im gonna keep a close eye on this thread, sounds a lot simpler than Ihave heard so far.

I tried on and off for years to quit, zyban, patches, hypnotics you name it. So now after 30 yrs puffing and working up to a pack and a half a day, I found myself gasping for air when swimming with my daughter, coughing badly and generally f**d, xcuse my french.

A week ago I decided that was it, and bought the patches. I decided to reduce my smoking to 10% of my daily intake, which by then gave me 4 a day. ( we all lie about how much we smoke, here I sahre the truth). SO day 1 came and went, I decided not to smoke until 12 mid day, and not after 6, which means no cigs at home either. Day one went fine, so did 2, three I was playing at a blues club, and smoked an extra4 in the evening. Remember I didnt decide to quit, I decided to reduce my intake.

yesterday I hit a full 24 hours without a cig. I didnt plan it that way, it just happened, and today, its noon and I have no real desire for a cig.

I hope this works for me, and just wanted to share it with you guys, I have REDUCED my smoking, so I dont feel guilty for having one, I simply dont want one now. I wont be goign to the local blues jam tonight, so the next challenge will be monday, tomorrow morning at work, and wednesday eve when I am playing ina pub again.

thanks so very much, I was afraif of that. the agent said it was just down the road. Have booked Tanao Sri Resort Prachuapkhirikhan, which I am advised is 20 mins, so assume 40. resort looks great, and we will want a mix of life and lively with crash and rest.

the other place looked brilliant too, but 8 days in the wilderness might be a bit too long

help.. I am considering holiday for about 6-8 days and being offered ban krud. cant seem to find out how far from Hua Hin and all the attractions around. I would like to be close to HH but quiet. I know since it will be just after new year, 4th Jan on, that I am probably pushing it a bit, but any ideas would be appreciated. thanks
