Got to stick up for Thai railways here. Just been on a trip,Pattaya Tai- Chiang Mai solely by train. No buses,taxis or motorbike taxis. 10 train journeys,191 baht.The last journey Lamphun to Chiang Mai 5 baht. I love the SRT.
