  1. I've only spend 179 days in Thailand in 2024, it's the first time in 18 years I've been away from Thailand for more than a few months in a year. I spent my money in Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan, USA and Australia.. money I'd usually spend in Thailand, but ow I'm free to bring in as much money as I want in the next 10 days. Not sure what I'll do.
  2. A 90 days visa exempt entry would put Thailand in the same ballpark as others First Class countries in Asia like Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Japan. I know Immigration wants the cash but 1,900x2=3,800 to extent currently 30 days in 90 (if that was possible) is nothing compared to the 7% VAT they get on all the Baht that is spent by foreigners and the ongoing multiplier effect of the money entering in the Thai Economy. 7% VAT on 55,000 Baht is 3,800, they're not losing anything, the government would just getting it in other ways.
  3. Hello Anyone with Experience, We plan to go to Cambodia for 40 days for a holiday, I am very confused by all the websites for VISA. We found https://www.evisa.gov.kh/ when we upload her passport she's forced into E Visa and needs hotel bookings and not weirdly a letter of invitation. We I upload my passport (Australian), none of these fields exist nor are forced and I can select a T Visa. So I guess my questions is if she arrives at the airport and gets a 15 days entry, does she get a T Visa on arrival (or something else), and can we visit the Department of Immigration and get myself and her a 30 day extension. Been in Thailand for 17 years, with my wife for 15, we've never visited Cambodia. Paul
