I read an article this morning in thethaiger online about changes to requirements for some visa types. The story mentioned (without giving details) of an easing of requirements for retirees who have been in the country since before 2011. Does anyone have any information about this? Thanks

Just to follow up, I went to PT IO on Monday and was advised that the photos and map were 'optional but probably a good idea to include them'.

Dr Jack, Thanks. I've been doing extensions for quite a few years and always take every bit of paper I can think of, and rarely get asked for most. All I was asking was for clarification about two different but conflicting official lists of requirements from Pathumthani. I will be going to the office in advance of my extension to get the answer from them. I just thought that there might have been someone who has recently extended their retirement Non O at PT who could let me know their experience.

Thanks guys, I'm still confused as the list and the example documents given to me at the counter dont include photos or a map, but the pdf from them via Line does. I think I will go to the office on Monday and check, I doubt they'll answer the phone.

I would appreciate any feedback from anyone who has extended their Non O Retirement fairly recently at Pathumthani. About a month ago I picked up a pile of forms there and a list of requirements. It looked the same as last year. A couple of weeks ago I got an info message from them on my Line account, all in Thai, with links to requirements for most extensions and visas. The retirement list sent via Line includes a map, photos at home inside and out. I know the marriage extension requires these, so I'm wondering if it's an error, or a new requirement.
