  1. Given most farang in Thailand are so poor in the Thai language; they have zero chance of understanding the nuances of the things said at the rallies by the various red shirt operatives. 99% of the farang have no idea of the seditious and treasonous language used against the government. This crossed major boundaries of social/political etiquette.

Not to belabor the point; most western reporting is crap and they would have been better off showing pictures and forgetting their ill informed reportage.

Most opinions by westerners aren't worth the energy to express them.

    For those interested in learning about their adopted country and culture this link may prove helpful;

    somtow.org/2010/05/dont-blame-dan-rivers

I can't post a full url; you can figure it out if you are interested.

Well, grower, you would be well advised to hold your criticism of all Farang to another thread, these times are trying, but even more so with dickheads posting opinions.

There are enough "reporters " here already. without having a muppet try to interpret what they think.please go home asshol_e.

  2. Time to go to bed...

The Thais will sort this out - without our help, as they always do... its their country not ours.

By the way I probably pay more taxes than most of you, but I dont have a Thai wife or Thai kids, and Thailand is just another place to do business.

Does having a Thai wife make any difference? I would say its easier for me to exit Thailand......

its strange how those with Thai wives think that they are somehow more connected, I guess it really depends on the pedigree of the wife.

    amarka :)

Didn't this crap start when the military removed an elected government from office?

Yes and they tore up the constitution too- not such a good idea really!

It may seem strange, but we have a partner that we don't pay short time, and as for pedigree.....why are you here? please exit, do not pass go and ....exit.

short time nobody as usual. cares to comment, not to contribute. waster.thanks for coming.business options abound so go seek.

  3. Hmm, is anyone modding this thread? There are several posters who should be banned for their comments

    Simon

    With you on that Simon.

Love it how farangs always think they know whats best for Thailand.

Wonder how many of them actually live here.

Perhaps they should bear in mind we are nothing more than guests here.

Hopefully immigration will tighten up the visa extension rules in the near future.

wow, yet again another poster pulling the "we are nothing more than guests here" <deleted>.

YOU maybe, myself and others not.Thai wife, kids , business (Employing and serving Thai's) Pay taxes and all fees. What about YOU?

do not dare to include me in your minority, we LIVE here. not on bloody holiday, thank you, you can sod off anytime , not us.

And yes I agree there are too many waster posters here that are not in the same situation or are short time posters.

We are not all "guests", and contribute to the shrinking economy of this nation. What about YOU.

    Cheers, and thanks for visiting.

You too, are nothing more than a guest here. Your visa could be revoked at any time under a military or other led government.

Don't lose the plot.of course EVERYBODY can get the flick. Those with no ties, family, business or (Friends) may get the flick quickly, which may not be a bad thing.some elements here need to be convinced to leave or seek other pastures of the underage fleshy kind, I will help with the ticket to be rid of this detritus.some elements here think they can act with impunity and their excesses are tolerated. think again.please go elsewhere. Here is not perfect, and I wish my kids to grow into a fairly decent society, but be aware of (warts and all)

Here also panders to those of influence at the time.or those that command / encourage others to do the dirty work. so what.....join the game.

there are too many muppets here that love conspiracy or the "Them and us crap".

You live here? please wake up and smell the coffee.

  5. Sad nightfor the country, mothers will wake to find their sons dead, wifes' missing husbands, sons with no fathers and all because Jatuporn and the reds couldn't wait nine months. Thefamilys of this night y will be waiting the rest of their lives.

IT is a sad day for all, but. it was provoked beyond reasonable means.RIP ALL involved.

justice Must be seen to be done.

yes it may be abhorrent, Yes it may seem unfair, but Thaksin is still slurping cocktails and ordering the minions to "revolt" W**ker.

would love to see a bit of peace this time but reds must cease and desist.

  6. state of emergency should not be used against the cornerstone of the democratic process - independent mass media.

It is martial law. It is temporary. If this media is used to incite violent insurgency and promote a violent rebellion, it bloody well SHOULD be shut down. The speech from the red leaders became illegal speech. Not all speech is legal, even in the west.

Utter UTTER nonsense - never happens in my country even when you get extreme Muslims saying death to Americans and Europeans - this is absolutely the last thing nthey should have done - muzzle free speach - everyone will see Abhisit as an Army Puppet

Impressive diatribe, POLL tax riots come to mind, but if this shit occurred? think a bit before you post the "In my country" speech.

wake up n smell the coffee.thing have been allowed to continue in a civilised manner, not so by the opposition, enough already, heavy hand is needed to restore a respect of authority.not ultra violent but enough to send te message, before it gets ugly and ALL join in.

Thailand has a pack dog mentality in respect of the general population, never see a one on one disturbance etc. when there is no respect in asia there is no respect...period

also, when these rioting masses are "allowed" to steal equipment from the security forces it becomes a joke, 7000 soldiers cannot contain 15-20,000 protesters? duh? why?

  8. Having been a member for many years but rarely post, it's becoming difficult to listen to so much shit and NOT respond.

Thaksin is a thief. period.is it not possible to deal with the issue quietly and finally via 7.62 and be done with the bastard?

between 1-10% of the population does not make you right here. 500 baht a day is garbage, and offensive to those that are normal honest working people.

  10. Having lived here 10 years, I can say that this place is a joke.safety? No safety as regards work done by the average Thai Jo. Life is cheap. end of story.here no-one really gives a shit, nothing will change.Had work done 3 days ago, complete <deleted>, had to do again myself, and paid for the privilege. We can bitch but nothing will change, cowboys at everything.Sorry but true.

with the best intentios but....sod all knowledge, and no learning curve.

  11. you are wrong. the 2 people who are trying to enslave thailand and make 65m thai people work like hamsters in a treadmill for them to become or stay billionaires are tax-sin and his puppet samak .... only 35,000 try to stop these two.....

Interesting.Anyone that believes that Toxin et-el is NOT the puppet master to some degree is in need of a check up.

BUT again 35,000 uneducated farm people does not mean shit, unless the rest make actions,or the generalpopulation support or deride their actions.

Until then soft gloves are not needed.Actions are needed, also as a reassurance to the rest of us that somebody is in power.

  12. Informing those that wish to leave,to leave at a designated time etc,via loudhailers etc would be a start, but with the PAD speakers drowning out thought,it would be a bit of wasted effort.

1,000 riot police achieved nowt! Where is the Police elite these days?

I Know many that have recently gone to the sidelines but been told to standoff!

I wish dearly for peaceful resolution to this, but also need to see a backbone for the future.

I have been here ten years have a wife and children and a business (Thai) another year of impasse is not acceptable to me or my family.

  13. Tha Pattaya Mail reports today of another foreign tourist dying in an accident on beach road Pattaya on Aug 31.

The man believed to be from the middle east died trying to pull a wheelie in front of some beer bars and hit a post at the side of the road.

At present you can show your passport and rent any superbike you like with no proof of a motorcycle licence, and l think the large majority of people renting don't have one. This guy was drunk so having a licence or not would not have affected the outcome, but l think something has to be done.

    :o

Too many muppets come here thinking that they can do anything, with impunity.Raging drunk or totally incompetent as usual, and end up in a mess or dead.Sorry but my pity lies elsewhere, tough luck. act like a pri*ck die like a pr*ck, who here cares. Thai roads and Thai drivers are dangerous, and that's for those that have a mickey mouse Thai licence (which is about as respected as a library card for driving) Turn left, turn right, go forwards, backwards....ok you pass!!! duh.

I have had many friends and customers die in Thailand from motorcycle accidents, and sorry but 50% are due to their own drunken state.

    Song nam na......eek!

  14. Your company is currently advertising the One Year Multiple Entry NON-B Visa, but was advised that Penang is not a good option, but that KL was better for applications (I called about 2 weeks ago) I also called a few other Companies that advertise in the Bangkok Post, but was given conflicting information, hence I am unsure of the options. can you advise please?

We do sponsor, but only who we feel are qualified individuals. KL will give a 90 non immigrant visa NOT a one year until you have a work permit and three months of PND #1.

My apologies, when I spoke to a consultant 2 weeks ago, i was told that i was considered suitable.

My intention is to apply for a work permit also ASAP as I have several small businesses here but cannot obviously work on them myself legally.I do realise that they issue 90 day non-immi B's until you have also secured a work permit.my question is, is it possible to apply for multi entry in Malaysia, or Singapore etc?

  15. Hi all, have recently spoken to several visa companies that supply paperwork for Non-Immi B visa, but I am a little concerned about where to make the application for the multiple entry Non-immi B.

I have been given conflicting advice re: KL or Penang as have been told that Penang is now only issuing single entry visa's and are getting quite offensive with applicants.

Any current advice or opinions would be appreciated.

Any feedback related to visa companies that supply paperwork for Non-Immi B visa's, the good the bad etc. would also be very appreciated.

I intend to make the application next week (beginning Dec)

Not aware of anyone getting a one year non immigrant visa in KL without a work permit and copies of three months of personal withholding statements ( PND #1)

Penang is not giving a one year non immigrant visa in any case, reference to business.
