Does anyone know how to receive money in Thailand being send from a friend that can only pay me with a USA credit card ? I tried using PayPal and Wise but I don't have a business account only a personal account. Crypto not an option either.

Any suggestions on how to receive the money will be much appreciated.

I'm starting the process of getting a 1 year extension on my multiple entry Non'O' visa (based on being a parent of a Thai child) inside Thailand at the Phuket Immigration and will be getting my legitimacy of paternity document from the court within a few weeks.

My question is what happens when I get this document from the court? Can I take it straight to the Amphur to get the document which is needed by immigration? I'm not sure what this document is called but it is apparently issued by the local Amphur which is proof that I'm the legal father of the child.

Or, do I first have to get a certified copy of my passport from my countries Embassy which is to be stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then take it to the Amphur to get this document?

I'm hoping to do everything in Phuket as my Embassy is in Bangkok which will make things a bit difficult for me at the moment.

If anyone has recently gone through this process, your information will be very much appreciated .

Has anyone has recently been to Phuket Immigration for the 1 year extension on their Non 'O' Visa based on being a parent of a Thai child?

If so please could you give me the list of all required documents, photos of outside/inside house etc... that's needed to get this visa. I am aware of the proof of paternity document which I will have from the court.

Also, regarding the 400,000 Thai Baht in the bank account, my lawyer said it needs to be in the account for 2 months before the application but on the Phuket Immigration Volunteers website they mention the 400,000 must be in the account for at least 7 days only??

Any helpful information will be much appreciated.

My question is how long does the 400,000 Thai baht need to be in the Thai Bank account when making the application at Phuket Immigration?

I have been told its one month, some say 2 months and others say it can been in the account for just one day before the application.

Could I get the correct and up to date requirements for how long the 400.000 needs to be in the bank from someone that has recently got the one year extension from Phuket immigration.

Yes, used an agent. Go to Chulia street in George town to a guesthouse called Jim's place. Anyone there can help even if Jim's not there.

I have recently returned from Penang with the same visa that you are asking about.

Answers to your questions:

1. A copy of birth certificate is all that was needed.

2. A copy of tabien baan of mother and the child was needed.

No originals needed. They only need the original bank-book if applying for the multiple entry "O" visa.

This was my first non "O" multiple entry from Penang, had single non "O" visas from Laos, and had no problems getting the visa.

Could this be true? I've searched the forums but strangely cannot find any updated info on this issue?

Also, it clearly states on the Thai Embassy (Penang) website that the wp3 (Applicant Receiving form) is required?

I will be applying for a Single entry Non B visa in Penang to start the process of getting a work permit. However, I have all the documents required for the non b visa from the company, except for the WP3 application/form.

Has anyone been to Penang recently and tried to get the Single Non B without the WP3 form, but had all the other required paperwork?

My temporary passport is valid for 1 year, therefore it shouldn't have be a problem to get a tourist visa for that passport.

I have also contacted my Embassy but unfortunately all they can do is try speed up the process for getting my new passport, It takes 3 to 6 months apparently.

I recently got back from Vientienne and was denied a tourist visa as I'm holding a temporary passport(South African).

Apparently, all they could give me was a single entry Transit visa (TS) which only gave me 30 days!!

I used a temporary passport about 5 years ago and was actually issued the tourist visa without any problems(from Vientienne), now they say that the rules have been changed. I then asked for the reason and they could not give me a reason?? Usual BS- there probably isn't any logical reason.

Anyway, I thought I should try another Embassy like Savannaket, but worried about being turned down again.

My new passport takes 3 to 4 months to be processed so I'm in a bit of a difficult cituation.

Has anyone had a similar issue or advise on what to do?

I assume I could possible get an extention on that visa in Bangkok but not sure how long and if its even possible!

There is a good dive company that operates their speed boat from the east coast of the island. Dive sites are about 30 min travel from the main land and its safer traveling short distances, especially this time of year. Good dive sites too.

Has anyone been for a double entry or single entry tourist visa to Vientienne recently? Are they asking for a outbound flight ticket and hotel details? I heard that this is a new requirement in Phnom Penn but not sure about Vientienne.

Also, are they still issuing double entry tourist visa's? I have many previous tourist visa's but my last one was in 2009, had "Non-B's" for the past 2 years.

I'm need to get a single entry Thai tourist visa from Phnom Penn very soon , I heard that to get this you need a return air ticket out of Thailand and proof/confirmation of your hotel in Thailand. These rules have been around for a long time and haven't been enforced as I did get a visa without this information before. Are they being enforced now or not? As ,I hear some people say you can and some say you cannot get a visa without the return flight/hotel booking?

Ok dude,I understand your point as I have been lucky enough to pass through these ridiculous road blocks before ,whether it was fluke or the fact that i sometimes had a Thai with me on the back.

My Thai missus just informed that the good ole BIB's are only stopping the farang at their pathetic little road block on the way between kamala and Patong. Now this is really P__SSED me off. With all the B.S that's going on in Phuket these days like murders,thievery,hit and runs,taxi/tuk tuk/jet ski scum scams,corrupt to the core government officials and unbelievably stupid and reckless driving on the roads that we see here on a daily basis(I know farangs can be reckless but oh my goodness so can the locals and if not much worse!!). The best these BiB ID___S! can do is extort money (in a cowardly manner) to the very people that keep this place alive and not bankrupt. Talk about bitting the hand that feeds you........ these guys dont have a f>>>ing clue do they. Or maybe they do but the are so arrogant that they dont care about destroying this place until it really happens!!!
