---shout " i fcking love you"---?If I love someone. truly love them, than I would do whatever it took to let that person know that I love them. If you know what it would take and if you love her enough to make the effort then both of you are a lucky couple. -
this subject has been done to death mate, in previous posts, on many boardsI've noticed a great deal more reports recently of guys getting drugged or doped in beer bars in Patongand then waking up in their room 12 hours etc later with all their money and possessions
being stolen and with no recollection as to what happened and or feeling very ill.
Its a concern to see this becoming a all to frequent occurerence in Patong. I would suggest people going there be vigilant in who makes their drink and keep a very close eye on it
over many years
try to think up something more interesting
if a person leaves a drink un-attended , on a bar /table-then resumes said drink-- more fool him/her ------next!

most of them are idiots -- <deleted> of he first order
us expats should give them a good old educating about the enviroment
unfortunately , most of us are inept

whats the cross sectional area(csa) of the incoming cable , "before" the meter?Spot on Crossy...more info needed. What is the required load current?
What type of cable do you want to use?
I did a very preliminary calculation based on the usual ambient air temps, a cable operating temperature of 75 degrees Celsius, a multicore copper cable with circular conductors & a prospective load current of 20 Amps, & I got;
35 millimetres squared.
This figure does not allow for the method of cable installation, which can drastically change this figure.
What's your findings Crossy?
Elkangorito, would the equivalent aluminium cable (50 sq.mm, I think) not be both cheaper to purchase and lighter in weight for aerial suspension?
if its coming from a long way , the voltage is compromised already _surely ?(check it with a volt-meter) ?
aluminium cable has a higher resistance than copper ( as you say ,crossy)
the larger cable you can use the better imo otherwise the voltage will diminish
and things that you use in your house will not function as well
the supply cable is the limiting factor (imho)

just because a meter on a pole says its capable of supplying 100 amps , doesn,t mean it can !
its the supply lines above, that come from afar, that determin how much current(amps) that can be "drawn"
usually, in 3rd world countrys its very limited,
if lots of people are tapped into this ovehead supply , it can only supply a certain amount of current (amps) to each house-hold ---- simple!!!!! share and share alike
100 amps? what the hel_l would you want 100 amps for? a factory ?
if you require 100 amps you need it split over 3 phases(a 3 phase supply) (415 volts )each phase to ground / neuteral would be 220-240vac x 3

hi guys
ive been busy , so haven,t replyed
after reading through this thread im not going to reply
some of you are obnoxious , and incorrect
to sum up--
12 volts is lethal
110vac is as "dangerous as 220-240
etc etc
i really havent got time for all this
ill leave you all to it
heres some laughs x100

exactlyhi chownah newbie here (jib approved electrician )in the states the supply is 110volts ? in thaland its 220-- a whole different ball game
110 doesn,t nessesarily need earthing ,220 does
also someone stated that a 12 v car battery could electrocute a person , this is totally untrue, any voltage below 55volts is safe
Why doesn't 110 necessarily need earthing...& 220 does?
I think Jenkins is a Brit. and is therefore referring to the 110V site tools that run through an isolating transformer. Neither pole of the 110v is grounded therefore the possibility of shock is reduced even if the tool's metalwork is not earthed.
That said, having the ground as well can't hurt particularly when you drill through a live cable
Thanks Crossy. That makes sense now.
IMPORTANT CORRECTION I believe my supposition that the 110V is completely earth-free is incorrect. It seems that the site transformers are actually 55-0-55 about earth. 55V is deemed a non-hazardous voltage

so
1 -12 volt car batterys are lethal
2-110 volts(ac) is as dangerous as 220-240
3- 55 volts is dangerous

yes your a genuine s/whoreist faulty, join the clubWell i can say i have been going to phuket for a number of years now for the beach etcbut also for the bar girls too. Does that make me a sex tourist? Sure I'm over 50, never
had much luck with the ladies and have a very wrinkled face - so no brad pitt look a like.
Sure i frequent all my nights at certain bars and take bar girls back to the hotel room, but also enjoy
the beach and meeting fellow travellers at bars i go to regularly to - so my question is does that make me a genuine sex tourist??

hello, check the motor/ pump units that are supplyed by the pool people , they may well be 3ph ,I'm building a house with swimmingpool.Do I need 3 phase or will 2 phase be enough.I hear that when you use 3 phase that your electric appliances will use less electric but from the other hand the kilowatt price will be higher. So is it worth to have 3 phase installed. Some advice please. -
hi chownah newbie here (jib approved electrician )When I grew up in the US there were no ground wires on anything and there were no GFI units on anything....anywhere......but.....somehow my generation survived. My house in Thailand is just the same...no ground wires and no GFI's.....I do have a gas water heater though so I have completely avoided the major risk factor.Chownah
