  1. Have done the same successfully a week ago. The funny thing was the chinese aunty who kicked everyone in front of me out of the queue for something missing in the papers. Only one visa agent in front left. Took 5 mins, besides the 45 mins for waiting. Opening time is 9:15, not 8:30. And the muslim lady at the counter even smiled at me, so different of what people posted elsewhere smile.png.

One question gabong, on your pic it says you paid 0 S$, I had to fork out 250 as PR. Are you SG citizen and is this for free?

  2. We also have that crappy Nlink box. And as you say it's disconnecting at least once a day and needs a hard reset to come back to life.

Have you touched the modem after disconnect? Ours gets very hot and I'm pretty sure it is overheating and crashes. Even some Cisco boxes do this. Small crammed China box that is so cheap that they could not even afford a small heatsink.

Did anyone manage to exchange the lousy Nlink modem to something more robust? True had Zyxel on their website, and I really need something that does one thing, working as advertised.

  3. Could someone enlighten me what the default PIN number for a Happy SIM card is? Trying to set my own to be able to lock the phone but it asks me for an existing PIN. No information in the booklet or on their website and I tried 2 combinations already, only one left :o.

    Thanks a lot!

P.S. sorry if this was answered here before, unfortunately the forum doesn't allow search for less than 4 characters like "PIN"

  4. I'm looking for a small store that would be able to print or sew a logo on a base cap. Any chance to break the 300 pieces limit as in Chinatown and get some good work done?

    Thanks,

    Mac

  5. it was no more than misunderstanding - on your side

Surely it was. Thanks for reminding me. I blame nobody else than myself for not reading/thinking about the english only, not-updated since 2005, flash website offering not only a 1499B but also a 25B/piece promotion. Not to forget verbal and written interaction yesterday. Lesson learned and warning issued for all others to not tap into the same trap :o.

    Cheers,

    Mac

  6. A disappointing experience.

My first posting here, unfortunately it’s not a positive one. I've found Clean and Care here in the forum and thought it's convenient to give it a try as I'm staying not far away in the CentrePoint for a couple of weeks.

Called them on Tuesday evening if they could pick up some shirts and within a short time somebody was there for collection. Great. 8 shirts, 5 T-shirts and as I'll be here for some time I've asked her for the 1499B/70 pieces promotion from the website. Considering my poor Thai and her poor English I repeated this promotion thing several times and she obviously understood it and agreed. But of course no receipt....hmmmm....a bit strange, so my clothes went away with somebody unknown somewhere...

Yesterday after 6pm the same girl delivered the laundry as agreed. To my surprise (?!) she doesn't know anything about the promotion anymore, but wants the normal price for the items with 2 of the T-shirts wrongly overpriced as shirts. Of course she can not do anything...blabla. So I called the laundry, someone picks up the phone. After shortly explaining that I don't want to order anything but that there are problems in the pipeline the phone was hung up. Fantastic service. So I gave the girl the money and let her go. Returning customer? I don't think so! There are several small laundries around in Wittayu, Suk Soi 1 etc.

Maybe it's not a scam, but at least they are cheating. I should have been warned as there is no Thai version of the website. The promotion obviously doesn't exist and is only meant to gain attention from unsuspicious farangs. I had to pay almost the same as for the CentrePoint laundry and they even deliver items nicely packed in plastic bags. Clean and Care is simply not worth it.

    Cheers,

    Mac
