  1. Anyone lived in Chiang Saen or know of any low cost Apartments. I plan to go there next month and stay a month or two. Thanks for any advice as you have lots of good info here! Also a budget guest house would be nice to start.

  2. One2go I took it, never agian it is always late, I waited two hours for my flight. Thai air is best. One time I took a bus to Pattaya, no Bkk AP no taxi it was long but take a night Vip or AC night bus and you can sleep through most of it. It will take you right where you want to go, and just kick back. I have traveled all over LOS by bus and find it relaxing and staying out of BKK airport is always a treat.

The AP bus at BKK you can just jump on it outside at a stand, it is about as fast as a taxi and it can take you to a bus station to Korat. If you are pressed for time go Thai air if not the night VIP bus is a smouth ride! Enjoy. Dave

  3. I do not have a contact # I also do not know how much they charge other than 4,000bt a month and I think 300bt a night. The staff are very friendly and during the day most could speak a little English and there was a manager in the back office who was in and out but spoke English good. Just look at the room before you take it as some might not be that great. The tenth floor has a look out patio and you can see most of Chiang Rai. You can go swim there for 30bt and free if you stay there. There was a sign on the wall near the lift of a fancy unit by a private owner. If you are in Chiang Rai stop by at BO’s place and ask, bet someone there might no someone who has a unit or more info about the place. Good luck… Dave

  4. I lived there for about 6 months last year. You can rent the place by the day week or month. It is OK. The pool and grounds are not in great repair so watch your step. I was in a friends Condo it was nicer than the office had. The cost is 4,000 Bt a month. You can rent a house for that. No kitchen one room and a bathroom. I was there to swim and enjoy the pool as I broke my leg and the pool did the

Exercise trick. I do not plan to live there again as it was not a great deal and the room was small. Stay a night and see if you like it. Dave

  5. Your friend in Germany is not trading like I am. I sort about 1000 stocks along with news stories and other things going on, and try to get in within the first 5 minutes of the market being open. Each of my stocks is moving fast and my software is a memory hog and a fast internet feed is pushed to the limit. I do not want to pay more than 2000 BT a month for my service in my home, nor should I right?

I want to live in Thailand! Even if I go back to teaching English. I could rent an office above a internet provider or rent an office from them, It might give me a fast enough feed, what do you think? Thanks again, Dave

  6. Anyone out there day trading stocks? I want to trade stocks in Thailand. I day trade on the internet and need fast DSL or cable internet. I was living in ChaingRai before but I am not too optimistic about being able to get internet that will work for me there. I have family in Pattaya and might go there.

If you are day trading in Thailand please let me know, how are your fills? Is the internet fast enough? Thanks for any advice. :o Dave

  7. The restrictions are directed against migrant workers who are here and cause problems stealing and credit card scams, and take jobs away from locals.

The Thai government wants these people to blow town. I do not think it is directed at us.

The foreign investor has been welcome in the past so I would think there will soon be a change to keep these people here, along with the steady income of retired people. We will see.
