Yes it is so simple and quick one wonders why some friends or at least one of them cannot check on IB website or call IB in any location/time zone.
Lol, you're maybe not familiar with subject at all or pretend you're not familiar.
It's forbidden to send wires to foreign brokers out of Thai banks, according to regulations.

Hello!
Some of my expat friends have no idea how to refill Interactive Brokers acc, as I assume - it has to be done via wire transfer to US. What bank is better to use and what docs necessary for that. Thank you in advance for your answers…

I was quite surprised how hot modern routers run nowadays even with some big heatsink. But the heatsink are mainly for CPU but the switch and wifi chips are without heatsinks.
If you like to DIY, I would suggest to open the Gigatex and all some stick on heatsinks if you are allowed to.
If not, then get a fan to force air into or suck out of the router and increase the router feet / distance from the table. Even if it is in bridge mode and overheating, it will still cause a disconnect.
A simple plug in socket electric timer can be used to restart the router every morning or at least once a week.
I thought fiber modem can't be setup by users, only the ISP can do that ? I guess it is different from Malaysia.
My hypothesis - the whole modem design is weak. Including software. IDK - maybe it was built on weak processor which was overclocked or (the most probable thing) - it has lots of non-optimized mistakes in the code which cause excessive load to processor w/o any actual job.
I never had such problem with default 3bb modem+wifi router (white one, don't remember the brand) regardless temperature in the room - it was 1-story house in Chiang Mai which is famous its windless dry heat.
So I literally don't trust that modem that's why I want to try some another.

I don't have much experience with this, so I might be wrong, but I think this is standardized, and basically any fiber modem will work.
Do you have any friend near you who has AIS fiber? AIS fiber comes with separate modem and router, so you could borrow the modem from your friend, try if it works and if it does just buy the same modem.
But you can also find some second hand modems for 200-300 on Shopee, in case it doesn't work you don't lose much.
Do you have the things like username, password etc. from True to setup the connection on your own router?
I have PPPoE username/pass, but there isn't connection between 3bb modem (I remind - we talk about line from True) and provider I suppose on lower level, then PPPoE.
My guess is I don't see some hidden settings, I'm pretty sure True modified firmware and hide them - I saw some screenshots of admin panel of this model on Internet and some tabs are hidden in True provided one.
So I see no reason to buy just any random modem - as I said I also have 3bb modem with me. Also, I got another old modem today from another house, looks like a True modem.
But I wanted to get info from any True line users. As I got from Thai forums that Gigatex is surely pain in the ass because it overheats and glitch. So, maybe some True line user passed the journey I plan to pass and have some advice like a "go to True and buy that one" or "they hide such settings and such".

Their provided modem, white Gigatex with Wi-Fi worked super buggy - looks like it overheat and glitch. I switched off its Wi-Fi and connected it to a separate Wi-Fi router - and everything became way faster.
But I worry it still can be buggy a bit because of it's worse design. I tried to configure the 3BB fiber modem - didn't work.
Which fiber modem you would recommend for True (which one for sure worked with True - suppose, providers modify firmware and put some settings into firmware)? Wi-Fi not necessary and even better to have modem only - I plan to use my own mesh Wi-Fi routers.

Hello!
Anybody knows where to get it? I had Givi-style (genuine) windshield on my PCX of 2011, now it's broken and I literally can't find any online. I'm on Phuket, if you know offline shops there - it would work. But usually almost any shop now have some online representation so - any shop in Thailand is work.
Oooor any style of high windshield for PCX 2011!

The already mentioned revolut.com card is really good, but they don"t serve Thai residents.
I think you would find that most (all?) international debit cards don"t serve Thai residents.
I would try one of the new online only accounts in Thailand that may have most features you want. like maybe f.e. the new SCB online account.
I just checked the SCB - doesn't look they have such advanced virtual cards. Some of Thai banks (incl. Kasikorn and SCB) are offer virtual cards, but they don't suit such needs - instant issue and reissue.
Pity that Revolut doesn't serve international customers. But I'm pretty sure there are some services which serve but wanted to use Thai expats' experience to save time. Tried

(note that not all sellers accept cryptocurrencies, most of them accept Webmoney or Paymer only - Russian online payment systems)
They sell prepaid ones which isn't useful at all - I mention I'd like to avoid mess with prepaid ones + I want to link it to my normal card or PayPal, not to buy card every time I need some secure transaction in Internet.

You didn't give the correct information at the beginning, on what you actually required. So many different answers. Now that you have clarified what you require, then the the answer is a 'Debit card' from any bank, which is available to everyone with a valid bank account. SCB, Krungsri, Kbank, TMB etc are all good.
Try to be nice..you will get better answers.
You're right, I was a bit emotional.
Sorry, prepaid cards and debits - is totally different cards, https://www.consumerfinance.gov/ask-cfpb/what-is-the-difference-between-a-prepaid-card-a-credit-card-and-a-debit-card-en-433/.
And about your last advice - Thai banks don't supply mentioned in my list features. They simply provide virtual debit cards with limits, but I need instant issue/disable/delete.
-
Genius advice, that's why I came here - not to save time on crawling through maze of forms made by unknown mastermind!
-
By "not prepaid" I meant "debit". Prepaid it the card with fixed amount, which is locked on card balance, some of such prepaids have this amount fixed even, and it's impossible to add any amount to balance (or withdraw). Such cards are quite popular among such service providers. I meant - I don't want such cards.

Which service provide such service for Thai residents and support:
- instant issue of such a card
- instant disabling/enabling of the card
- instant destroying of the card
- any/flexible billing name/address
- limit on transaction
- card is not prepaid
There are lots of such services online but some of them aren't service all countries (for example, https://privacy.com/ is for US residents), some of them doesn't have all listed reqs.

Hello!
I'm looking for the subj.

Guess why that visas are multiple entry? Why people issuing multiple entry visas in Thailand? To enjoy constant border runs? My company is qualified to issue multiple entry visa only.
And now looks like Thailand don't care about people who qualified to get such visas - rules for 1 yr NON-B+NON-O is the same strict as was before without any adaptation for people who qualified to get multiple visas only.
We have no Thai child, sorry for that, same as Thai wife, Thai husband.
-
Hello!
Do you know any solutions for business owners who stayed on multiple NON-B because of the lack of Thai staff and related multiple NON-O for spouses?
Looks like Thai government missed this group of expats totally (or did it intentionally). It's forbidden even to convert that visas to NON-ED to take a rest and figure out what to do…

Want to rent a big bike for a day or two, want to protec myself. Can you advice a place with selection of a gear?

It's a quite good method actually, why they have to arrest you? But not suitable at post office - a bit different situation.

Subj. Is it possible?

Regulation, law — for me it's all same stuff. Somebody from government wrote it and people follow it in the Kingdom. I don't care how it calls, I want to see, what exactly said about it in this paper!!! Nobody seen it but everybody quote it.
Phuket Board Games Geeks Unite!

Are there international English-speaking games or gamers at least? Who play modern geekish board games? Not classic abstracts such as chess or classic playing cards, not outdated simple games such as Monopoly/Glue Do/UNO/etc., but games like Cosmic Encounter, Unmatched, Brass Birmingham, Terraforming Mars, etc.
As I knew, there were 2 board games clubs, but it closed now. So, maybe there are enthusiasts who play privately?
