  1. Thailand e.g. is a fairly pure asian (Asian) race and they are pretty low down the world IQ ranking. Point being mixing bloodlines generaly (generally) improves itelect (intellect) and phsyical (physical) attributes.

Dont win many olympic (Olympic) medals the thais (Thais). However, they did invent the basket!

While on the subject of intelligence, take a look at above.

  2. I have an 18 year old daughter with my Thai wife.

My daughter really does look, exactly half and half and when out together it is obvious that we are father and daughter.

The OPs situation must be very difficult. I know when I am out and see some stinking middle aged Farang with a very young looking Thai girl, I feel disgust.

Unfortunately people very often put 2 and 2 together adding to 4, so that must be the case. Never realizing that the obvious is not always the fact.

There are many sordid Farangs that are either visiting or living in Thailand, who like to flaunt the fact that they are taking advantage of naive young girls, some underage. They think this is the third world, so it doesn't matter.

As I have said many times in the past, the actions of some Farangs that continue to break the laws here, keep the sex industries fueled and constantly abuse the system, eventually make things tougher for those of us living here.

There are 2 solutions to the problem. Firstly keep your daughter away from places where these dirty pond life Farangs congregate. Second, educate your daughter about the ways of life.

  3. Ahh no, not this same old topic again.

There are stacks of threads on ThaiVisa about this subject.

It`s simple, idiots never listen to advice or use common sense, they only learn by experience.

The dowrey thing is a load of crap. Normally if they ask for money, than it is a scam.

If a girl loves you, she will go with you anywhere for free.

I think that most of these falling instantly in love Farangs are sad losers. They are living in an imaginary world of make believe. Only seeing through a window into some fairy tale land.

  4. In Chiang Mai I have had good and aweful experiences when dealing with retail businesses.

In some places the staff has almost been kissing my backside to provide me with good service, in others I was treated as if I just landed from the planet Mercury, the staff running into all corners hoping that I`ll go away.

Dont worry about it, there is no logical explanations. If you are not happy with the service in one place, just go to another.

  5. You should advertise in the classifieds.

This is not a forum topic.

<deleted> :o Of course it should be here. I's (It`s) in Chiangmai, (Chiang Mai) and the obvious place for it. Who gave you the god (God) given right to say what should be a forum topic or not?

  6. I am 56 and permanently living in Chiang Mai, Thailand with my Thai wife, married 20 years and daughter.

OK, first let me give details of my situation:

Back in 1994 I came to live in Chiang Mai for 10 months to see whether or not, Thailand was for me. After 10 months, returned back to the UK 1995 and decided that I did want to live in Thailand for the future. At that time I was 42 years old, working in the UK, had not much in savings and still had a considerable amount of mortgage left on my house in London, so it was not the right time for me to make the big move.

In 2003 at age 50, UK house prices had increased considerably. I sold up, made a profit on the house, I with my Thai wife & daughter all moved to Chiang Mai. Last year at age 55 my company pension began paying me out, so have a regular monthly income for life, plus I will receive a UK state pension in 9 years time, which will be necessary because by than, my company pension salary will probably be worth about 60% of it's present value due to inflation.

So for me, I have savings in the bank, both in Thailand and the UK, a good company pension and hopefully another pension coming in 9 years time when I will be 65 if I'm still alive. On top of this my wife can claim 2 widows pensions from the UK in the event of my death. I have my own house in Chiang Mai all paid up and my daughter was able to go to an International school. In my view this is the perfect scenario for living long term in Thailand with financial security for the present and the future, without having to worry about finding work or other ways of making income.

Anyone under the age of 50 wishing to live in Thailand long term should consider that finding work here is extremely difficult, Immigration laws impose certain amounts invested in a Thai bank, inflation in Thailand is escalating, currency exchange rates are poor and bank interest rates are crap. Those coming here on the evaluation that their present savings and incomes may suffice will find themselves in dire straights later on.

Also, some resident Farangs here are not friendly, sociable or community minded and will not give support to any newbie settlers here. For those hacking it alone, could find themselves living in isolation without being able to converse with anyone in their native language for long periods. There are many Farang undesirables, criminals and others, they're all here and one must be choosey when associating with other Farangs and whom they pick for their friends.

Choosing a Thai girlfriend in the hope of marriage can be catastrophic for a male Farang if he hasn't had prior experience of courting in Thailand. There are Thai families who have made stripping a Farang out of his assets almost into an industry. The golden rule is, if they ask for money, than it's a scam.

What I have quoted above is an illustration of what should be taken into consideration before making the big move. Usually those who sell up in their home countries and come over to Thailand will be financially unable to return home after a few months, (includes me) meaning, not able to buy property because prices would have increased since leaving the home country and would need to find employment that is difficult without somewhere to live in the first place. Returning back to the home country, could mean being homeless and unemployed.

To conclude, those Farangs thinking of living here should plan wisely so as to be able to enjoy all the benefits Thailand has to offer.

  7. This insect is not a true species of fly. Having no wings it is technically known as a walk. (Walkliphora vomitfarangoria)

The species breaths through 5 tubes located at the front below the eyes. Air is sucked in like a jet by continuous fast forward movements. The Walk has to maintain fast movements in order to breathe and is always busy buzzing about.

Sometimes incorrectly described as the Blue Arsed fly, which is a totally unrelated species.

  8. A marriage between homosexuals or lesbians should never be legalized.

A certificate of marriage means they can adopt children and it seems no one considers the children in these matters.

In nature most species of animals have a mother and a father.

Homosexuality is bad for society and should not be encouraged.

  9. From the Pattaya Mail this week:

    Norwegian dies in hotel room

    British man electrocuted during flooding

#1 Pol Col Noppadon said that it appeared the deceased had been taking drugs and had fallen down, breaking his skull.

#2 A British man died when floodwaters caused by heavy rain engulfed an electrical cable near to where he was walking during the early hours of June 19.

Almost weekly we read of these bizzare deaths in Thailand, why don't people die these kinds of death elsewhere? Something new each week, balcony jumpers, men who have commited suicide by handcuffing themselves behind their backs and then duct taping a plastic bag around their heads for suffocation.

Why are you all in such denial over these deaths? It looks like mass murder of falangs and you all just accept this, as the cost of having sex with girls younger and more attractive than you.

    Sidris

    I agree with the OP.

This is definitely a conspiracy. I bet it's a KGB Thai government alliance plot to wipe out all the Farangs living in Asia.

It`s true I tell you, please listen before it's too late. You could be next.

Oh my god. There are 4 men in black at my front door. they`re breaking in, what, uh, aaahhhhhhhggggggg

    The loser's guide to lovemaking

    DALE NOTTINGHAM

The last time I made love to a woman, she got a puncture and all the air came out. Deflated but undeterred, I patched her up with my bicycle repair kit and got straight back on the horse, so to speak. It is the wisdom that I attained from these ground-breaking experiments in the art of advanced love-making that I wish to share with you amateurs here today.

Accordingly, I proudly present my top-10 tips for a legendary lovemaking experience:

    Mood

The correct mood is an essential forerunner to any memorable mating experience, so don't ever make love when you're grumpy. You will use up all you best lines and a prodigious amount of lubricant only to end up watching a replay of the 1979 FA cup final on the TV in the spare room.

    Location

The bedroom is no place to be showcasing a talent like yours. Besides, that's where your wife is sleeping. For a night of unbridled passion your lady will truly treasure, it is important that you explore new and exciting places to practice your art. Suitably pulsating venues include: Watch repair shops; polling booths; Yankee Stadium; a hearse; traffic lights; airport travelators and Venezuela.

    Alcohol

Alcohol is an important ingredient for you or your partner, depending on who is the less ugly. A bottle or two of burgundy will serve to loosen your inhibitions, which will come in handy if you decide to try a bit of karaoke half way through. But beware, too much alcohol can have a debilitating effect on your performance, making it difficult to sing anything by Celine Dion. You should avoid tequila, unless of course, both of you are extremely ugly.

    MONEY

Present her with stacks of dosh. She will never get a headache, if doesnt matter whether you are tall, short, young, handsome, old, fat or ugly her passion for you will be overwhelming, anyplace, anytime.

  11. 20 years ago I was in a cafe with my than Thai sister in law. There were mostly Farangs in there and my sister in law couldn’t speak or understand one word of English.

I knew my friend Mike was due in about 10 minutes, so in the meantime I thought I would teach my sister in law some English greeting words for when Mike arrived.

Mike arrived and my sister in law looked at him and said in a loud voice, or gor blimey, if it anit ole Mike, where the blet, ern ell ave you bin. She said it with a perfect cockney accent, just as I taught her. The whole place was in hysterics and even my sister in law laughed, although she didn’t get the joke.

  12. These days' being unfaithful is a privilege for the financially better off.

Taking on a minor wife, or having a regular girl to visit in the town and naughty nights out, is expensive and rapidly becoming few and far between for ex pats living here.

In the near future I don't think wives will need to worry about their men straying a field, it's all down to money folks.

  13. Now why would I be remotely interested in testing my Thai lady?

I have known her for 15 years, been married for 8 of them and we have a 4 year old son.

Apart from my clothes, computers and some other odds and ends everything is in her name and she is welcome to it all.

She has put up with me for a long time, tried to get me to stop wasting money which I used to most of the time and I have improved a lot.

When I got divorced in the UK by my first wife all I walked away with was my clothes and stuff which all fitted into a Ford Mondeo station wagon and my pensions.

What have I got to lose?

My wife and son love me and she tells me that she will be with me until one of us dies and I do believe her as I have no reason not to.

I get a little bored with the generalisations that all Thai girls are only out to get everything they can from us rich farangs.

I do appreciate that these things happen but I am also certain there are many more successful marriages than unsuccessful and more farangs living happily with their Thai ladies than there are failures of marriages.

Just think how farangs would feel if their Thai ladies did the same to them.

Your situation is very similar to mine. I have been happily married to my Thai lady for 20 years and trust her completely.

No one is saying that all Thai women are gold diggers, but there are Thai families out there that have made seperating a Farang from his assets almost into an industry and one should always be aware of this. Although most of these relationships are on the level, I can give some nightmare accounts of what happened to some of my friends.

The signs if one is being scammed are quite obvious some of which I have mentioned in my post.

  14. So many stories of woe on here almost everyday, regarding getting ripped off by a Thai lady, you begin to question everything in your own relationship. So what is the ways to uncover these fraudulent relationships before they cost you a house, children or much more. What are the signs?? Whats the advise??

Signs of if you are backing a loser:

    • She asks for money.
    • She is vague about her present situation and past history.
    • You catch her out in a lie. Remember if something doesn't make sense, it's normally a lie.
    • Phone is frequently switched off, doesn't always respond to emails, letters etc.
    • If the sex is not SEXXXX, she is just playing with your emotions for the big sting.
    • Comes on to you like a soppy spoilt Labrador puppy, why you not this and that? Why you not believe me, that I care you? Again playing you for a sucker.
    • I cannot see, please buy for me contact lens, want gold jewelry, my family vely poor, have no food, no money, work vely vely hard, vely sad my life no good, please help.

  15. Cant understand why people feel the need to kill these snakes.

There many types of snakes that sometimes pay us a visit. Most are harmless and will eventually go away if left alone. If not, I just spray them with water and in a flash the snake is gone never to be seen again.

Heard all the excuses, have young children etc. Mostly those that destroy wildlife are people of ignorance.

Knowing that we are in a part of the world that has these animals, than why not just train the children to be aware of these creatures.

Many of these retiles are on the endangered list, killing them should only be as a last resort.
