You could live in no mans land robbing travellers going over the border, you could build a house out trees you cut down and buy stuff at the duty free.
There should be no law in the no mans land so you can do as you wish, even make your own country.

Get some good reflective film on your windows so they can't see you. That's what I did and it works wonders, I only get busted for doing something wrong now. Out of sight out of mind.
I would'nt worry about driving with the red plates at night.

Yes, bring original and one copy of berth certificate and an explaining letter to the consular mission.
Thanks for that Geroge, and Kan. What is this letter to expain things about. Do I write it myself. My kid has my surname on her birth cert, and passport.
All I need is a 1 year multi "O" and was planning on going to Perth for it. So with the paper work from my daughter it should smooth things along. Am I correct??

I've got a kid but never married the missus. If I took my kid's birth cert on a visa run would it help things at all??
Just wondering.

I guess it was a Hash bar judging from the first post, go find and lynch the guy. You can never trust a Scotsman.

"Set" or finished usually does the trick.

Sounds a bit odd being banged up for 4 months, I guess this guy has no cash, and no mates.

Calm down lads! Dr. PP has some good advice for folks!

That's in Hua Hin down the road. I think HM lives there full time these days.

Why would you want to go to Cha-am???

Can you use a Thai card to pay for stuff on the internet?

Great story.

Can we all relax a bit now and not worry about the Gestapo stopping us to see our "papers"?

With regards to a possible increase to 40K max for overstay... I seem to remember (correct me if wrong) that it was actually implemented some time ago. Then reduced back to 20K when it was discovered they were earning less money than before ???
Seems people would stump up the 20K, but 40K? Apparently not...
Agreed, people would stay here forever if they had to fork over 40K

Anyone know about Manila for Thai visas?
-
If anyone was deported and blacklisted from Thailand, would'nt you just get a new passport and come back again?
-
Sinbad who'd know...but ' dodgy ' visa stamps were rarely a feature on ' crossing ' with visa agents 2 years ago. As far as I am aware, the stamps were real and the agents actually paid money to Thai and Malaysian officials. If you are worried get a new p/pt they won't be checking back that far.
I've left and come back twice myself with these stamps in my PP and no questions asked. Everyone seems to be getting very paranoid, I reckon I'll be OK.

I used a visa agent about 2 years ago, left the country and came back via Don-Muang with a clean airport stamp, maybe my stamps from a couple of years ago are fake but my current one in kosher. Will I have a problems on leaving???
All my stamps are from Kota Baru and not Sadao if this helps.
Cheers

Sorry Dr. I don't quite get that.

Does it matter I am a Brit, and also do I need to show any bank statements or anything. Cheers.

Anyone know about the Thai consulate in Perth, any good for 1 year multi entry visas.
-
Hi Guys, I need a new 1 year Multi entry Non-Imm "O" visa and was thinking of going to Blighty to get it.
My question is are they easy to get there and do you need to show funds to qualify for it.
I was also thinking of going to Perth, but I thought it would be easier from my own country.
Any thoughts?

Is it the same fine for a year 2 years or even longer, is there a cut off point when they nail you????

I think they write crime and thriller novels based around the hooker areas of Bangkok. Never read any yet, but apparently get good reviews.
