I was informed of a recently opened nightclub named Tawan Daeng around Tesco-Lotus area.

The thai name of the nightclub is ตะวันแดงสาดแสงเดือน ศรีษะเกษ .

Has anyone been at it?

I was in Tawan Daeng nightclub in Surin. I imagine they would have the same morlam-sing music, football or thai soap on their Tvs, and loads of booze and food.

I have seen no report of it here on Thaivisa so just putting it out.

Another little lie from Mr K?? According to newsclips from today, Finance ministery's Fiscal Policy Office are considering a VAT hike to 8%.

VAT in Thailand is almost the same as Singapore, according to Mr K. It is either the same or higher or lower, Or??

And it is NOT the lowest in Asia! Both Taiwan an Japan has a 5% VAT-rate!

Hi There. I am confused as to what the immigration gives you once you have reached the 60 day tourist visa.

Both times i went to chong chom (Kap choeng) immigration gave me only extra 15 days on my 60 day tourist visa.

But i read many of you have received 30 days (total 90 day stay in Thailand).

If anyone could explain to me i would be grateful.

Met Marty a few times had lovely breakfast and dinner at farang connection with my pal paddy.

Last time I met him he was doing chemotherapy. He was a great man and will be missed.

I stay in sisaket with my wife when on holidays and head up to Surin to visit my friend pat, have a foot massage and then go to Farang connection where we would meet Martin most times.
