  1. SCB can do the statement in Bkk in just 15' at least in their Head office in Bkk or in other Bkk main branches. Since SCB no longer has a branch in CW, this year I asked the letter one day before going to Immigration (and yes the statement is always up to one day earlier that the day you ask for it). Then, the following day I just withdraw some cash in the ATM and update the passbook and went to CW and all the documents were accepted. Keep in mind that usually (at least in CW) the letter from the bank can be from 7 days earlier to the day you submit the documents, but passbook always updated the same day.

That would come as a pretty rude surprise... arriving at BKK CW ready to get your bank letter prior to your annual Immigration session, and discovering that your SCB bank branch there has disappeared... permanently...

It's some news that deserved to be spread more broadly so folks around these parts who are farang SCB customers in BKK will know.

One solution to this issue may be going to SCB Head Office located at SCB Park Plaza (Ratchadapisek Road) and close to the BTS station Phayonyothin 24 (https://goo.gl/maps/PqTpamS1a6FZbt8d8), get the letter there and after that proceed to CW (it will be around 20' by taxi)...........to be confirmed once I do that next month.

I get a headache every time I read and try to decipher that form. I don't know any answer for certain.

Except, AFAIK, you just enter your own name and info for everything there. It's not like there's some other party that vouching for you...on this particular form.

I agree with you, The form is not easy to fill up. I am doing it now and let's see what happens when I submit it next month. Thanks a lot for your great post and all the information you provide as it is extremely helpful !!!

So that's part of the reason I took the added step of scanning and posting the PDF files for the various "statement" forms above... so folks can more easily have them and complete them ahead of time...especially for the appointments system.

Regarding the statements you attach in your post (thanks a lot for that !), I have a doubt on how to fill up statement #3. Are you supposed to fill up all the details under your own name, or do you need to use another person as guarantor? It's not so clear to me how to fill up this form? Thanks in advance for your comments on this

First up thanks for the report and yes the more we can advise folk that the 90 day report venue has changed from CW the better.

Your response to very short notice from imm requiring folk that skipped report is very calm and no fuss. I wonder if it would be similar if your were somewhere like Phuket on a break untill end of September.

Sure, every case is different. I was far from happy having to spent half day to do a report that we were not supposed to do in the first place if they apply common sense procedures, so this means not having to make the 90 days report suddenly, but on the other hand, I simply need to avoid having any issue when renewing my Visa next month, so I was left with no choice.

  6. Myself get also caugth by skipping the 90 day report as I was supposed to do it on 20th June, then after I saw the last "pictorial" from immigration saying that for those who didn't make the report from March 26 to July 31, we must do it from 1-31 August and this only is possible going personally (or send somebody with your Passport and form TM47).

So, last Friday 6th I went to Muang Thong Thani where now you are supposed to do it (instead of Chaeng Wattana). Arrived at 9.30am and it took me just 15 minutes to get it. The interesting part is that they start counting the 90 days from the date of submission and now next one will be on 6th November, although before that I need to extend my Non-O visa, so let's see what date they give me at that time, probably 90 days from the date they will extend my Visa. Just to mention that I didn't want to take the risk to assume that my next 90 days reporting supposed to be 90 days after the previous due date, since I have to renew my Visa before that and they may tell me that I didn't make the 90 day report, so this will be a much more waste of time that just doing it during this month and no need to worry anymore.

  7. Once again it is not the 50 Baht surcharge, as I always gave the drivers I took at the departure floor more than 50 Baht tip. We are talking here about getting a taxi fast and not get any trouble when the driver suddenly start asking for a fix fare. If the official queue was managed properly (and we already know this will never be the case), it will be the end of the case here. Why so many people, Thai and foreigners used to go to to the departure area to get a taxi, well, most of them not to save the 50 Baht.

  8. Today I went to the airport again to flight out and I was dropped by the taxi opposite the first door (the one is called VIP) and over there the turnstile was not so good and in fact you can pass easily from both sides, so this could an option to get to the taxis, but there was also a security guard as well. In fact it seems that they placed a security guard in all the entrances next to the taxi bay area.

Let´s see how this ends since it is very obvious that the official queue is a mess and as I can see many taxi drivers may not want to use the meter.

  9. This is to explain to the readers that last Friday night (around 9.30pm) after I arrived to Suvarnabhumi I went as usual to the third floor to get a taxi at the departures area, then I´ve found that it is impossible now to access the taxi bay area coming from inside the terminal as they had installed a kind of turnstile that only let the passengers coming into the airport to use it, so if you come from outside you simply cannot access the taxis, except you jump the barriers, something that it may not be recommended if you carry luggage.

Well, then by first time I went to the ground floor to try to get a taxi in the official queue, but it was a very long and disorganized queue, so instead of waiting for most probably more than half an hour I decided to take the airport link to Makkasan and from there a taxi to Sukhumvit area.

This may be a shock for so many people used to get the taxis at the departure level and let´s see how this ends as the option to queue in such disorganized way it is not the most efficient thing to do. If at least they could organize a proper queue it will be fine, but once again TIT.

  10. I got some friends coming to Bangkok for 2 weeks. They will stay at Peninsula Hotel. They asked me about a good Spa. I checked the Spa at Peninsula Hotel, but is about 150 USD per session, so I guess it is worth it to find other alternatives for them that may be more reasonable on prices.

Anybody can give me some information ? I will certainly appreciate it !

    Thanks ! :o

  11. Not easy at all. If it was in several months, I might be able to recommend someone, also have another friend who wants the same as you.

I am trying some guys out currently, but not sure what they will be like for awhile yet.

There are so many idiots out there, all I can do at the moment is to tell you the names of 3 people NOT to use should you accidentaly come into contact with them.

Thanks for your reply. Actually it will be also useful to know who I shouldn't contact.
