Look I'm going out on a limb here and saying the JOMTIEN area doesn't have any good cafes

I'm using TINNYS pie shop as a cafe mostly beautiful cakes ,air conditioning, clean etc

I have no idea about FAT BUNNYS cafe opposite but looks great too

Fat Bunnys cafe is good, European owner who knows the customer. Their ice cream is awesome. La Baguette has the best elaborate coffee drinks and food choices. Almond croissants as good as France. No riffraff

Trump was predicted more than 30 years ago, by the author James Lee Burke, in his novel " A Stained White Radiance".

“ But Bobby Earl is out there by consent. He has his finger on a dark pulse, and like all confidence men, he knows his audience wishes to be conned. He learned long ago to listen, and he knows that if he listens carefully they’ll tell him what they need to hear. It’s a contract of mutual deceit by which they open up their flak vests and take it through the breastbone.

Bobby Earl’s ilk want power so badly that at some point in their lives they make a conscious choice to embrace evil. It’s not a gradual seduction. They do it without reservation, and that’s when they leave the rest of us”.

There's much you can do to improve mental acuity as we get older. The very first place I would start is by creating your own SuperFood that you can consume every day. Start with blue green spirulina and barley green, kelp powder, spinach powder, broccoli powder, and other such superfoods, many of them are available online, and are organic powder. Blend them all together with a little apple juice and voila your brain is functioning at a higher level within a month.

Do not expect your brain to continue to improve or even stay the same without feeding it.

100% agree with the brain shake method. I grow and use fresh kale which isnt terrible tasting when mixed together. I also agg bllueberries, dragon fruit, ginger, apple cider vinegar and yoghurt....

Mr. Rorke as Ricardo Monteblan in Corinthian Leather and Tattoo as the Midget in Fantasy Island. What riding that little guy could do when he was on his high horse. It was a class act, Cordoba.

    Rich Corinthian leather

Oman is on sale with Intrepid Tours and the dates matched with other smoke season dodging options. I've always wanted to go to an empty quarter, sand dunes, Muslim desert, and Oman is a relatively welcoming one.

I eat middle eastern food at least once a week. Hummus Chiang Mai is as good as Greenwich Village or Beirut. I am looking forward to 5* dips and wood fired pita bread, the greatest meal on earth.

I respect your skepticism of people who claim they are never bored. This is ridiculous grandstanding.

In my average day (or even my average hour), I'll be bored, angry, depressed, elated, grateful, etc over and over again. Boredom is the ticket price for being alive. Just try not to let the tail wag the dog.

    Napping is a great activity....

You people must have a burning desire to get cancer. And after that, a heart attack when you will have to file a Thai tax return reporting your world income and the Thai tax people will already know what you earn thanks to CRS.  Is it worth it to stay here?

....burning desire, like a hunk of burning love?  Lived in New Jersey, Thailand compares favorably.

Yeah, sure! Just look at China and implement their strategies, then everything will be fine. Are you best friend with Mr. Xi J-Ping, by any chance? :cheesy:

The big problem is parents lack of time, as they rather get lost in their mobile phone world. The result is that also the children start that kind of life and behavior at a far too low age. Even the teachers are sitting with their phones up during the lessons. Simply a lost world, where it more popular to hide in a virtual world, than to live life in reality.

So many parents ignoring their children to stare at the phone, as childhood slips away.

And meanwhile there's numerous incident with tourist boats sinking etc., 8 incidents in one week.

In recent years there's been several hundred tourist drowned when tourist boats floundered, sank, leaked, tipped over, no / not enough safety vests, etc., etc., and lots of promises of new / updated laws and regulations, inspection processes about safety but these incidents still continue.

    Everybody concerned is asleep.

In Pattaya there's incidents every day of tourists being robbed of gold chains, handbags etc. the katoeys on beach road get rounded up again and again, taken to the police stn., fined 100Baht and released.

The authorities who should be doing something serious to stop this (it can be stopped if the authorities are determined to do so), but they are all asleep.

Meanwhile Vietnam is attracting bigger and bigger tourist numbers there's a lot to see, and they enforce their laws and regulations.

It's very easy to get visas on line, all done in 48 hrs. Step off the aircraft in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City (well organized, clean airports) and go straight to a passport line, 15 minutes later money changed (good rates) and in a taxi. And several taxi companies guarantee there will be no cheating / no rip off.

Agree that the road taxis are more transparent in Vietnam, where they lag Thailand is motorbike taxis. There are no uniforms, no order or que. Random people asking you to ride with them, no thanks.  Vietnam air quality in Hanoi and Sapa both terrible. The food variety and freshness in Thailand is superior.  Vietnam doesnt clean up well, too much trash and no one stops to pick it up. Agree about nice new airports, but then what?

i find it strange that guys on the opposite team who supposedly hate each all go to the same private island very exclusive guest list etc.

Bill and Hillary attended at least 1 of Trump's weddings, so the 'bad blood' was just politics.

  11. Had 3 PRP teatments including hyperbaric air chamber, massage w/ultrasound at Zen Clinic for 13,900 baht. Had a partially collapsed disc between L1 and L2, could barely walk, super painful. 1 month later feel fine.  Cant say enough about the doctor and staff -- fantastic. Brought Xrays from Bangkok hospital, the doctor explained exactly what was wrong and why this would work. Talked to American clients who went there for bad knees, they were also pleased.
