  1. actually you were in part correct, the OP states he has had SInovac, which is not on the UK List, therefore he would have to quarantine at a cost of 2200GBP, and the his wife as well at a reduced cost.
  2. that is just a link to inform readers where to look and not use the Guardian or Telegraph websites
  3. again he includes Brits, who upon returning from Thailand require to go into quarantine for 10 days at a cost of over 2000GBP. Think people need to go on his facebook site and tell him about the UKs quarantine rules
  4. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-system-for-international-travel link to the latest news, Thailand will remain Red and all vaccines done in Thailand are not recognised, check the link on the 4th then you will see the updates
  5. and returning Thais? Would be easy for the Government to know this, as each foreigner fills out an arrival form.
  6. what promises did the Government give the Airlines that are involved in the Sandbox? If you work it out it is around 420 passengers per day, how many flights per day? Lets just 5 international flights per day, is then around 84 passengers per flight, is this working out for the airlines, I don't think so, so what have the government promised the airlines, better parking at Swampy in the future, cheaper fees?
  7. I thought you had to go to a ASQ Hotel into quarantine, but maybe that is old info
  8. how about stop testing on arrival (does not happen in Europe), then a test on day 2 and day 8, if the test on day 8 is okay, then you leave the hotel and do what you want, and get your money back for the extra days that you had to book.
  9. sorry but the information about the LOT is incorrect, my Thai wife was vaccinated in Germany the LOT begins with the letter A, the second vaccination begins with the number 2.
  10. I did not say I was arriving from Thailand, I said I do not need a test, a UK Citizen arriving in the UK is not tested upon arrival in the UK, but after 2 and 8 days, that is a fact, and must quarantine, also produce a negative test before Travelling to the UK.
  11. Sorry fellow Hammer, but I can travel to and from the UK without producing a pre flight test result however, yes I do have to do a Lateral Flow Test on day 2.
  12. I think this might affect the travel plans of many Thais, as the more Governments that read about the brain dead plans coming out of there, the more complicated it will get for those Thais who want to travel to get into other countries.
  13. Biontech in Germany has asked for approval to vaccinate children from 5 years upwards, this will be looked at and the expected approval will be in 2022 if results are satisfactory. Sorry but do not trust the chinese vaccinations at all.
  14. I make it 192 passengers per flight if 40 flights per week in 13 weeks 100000 divided by 13 = 7692 passengers per week @ 40 flights per week = 192,3 passengers per flight Still a number that will not be reached. I thought China still had quarantine issues with people returning to China!!
  15. actually it is the green and amber lists not red and amber https://www.bbc.com/news/business-58491245
  16. I thought they were going to stop the testing for those who are fully vaccinated when going to the UK, but the quarantine would remain for others who have not been vaccinated either in Europe, UK or the USA
  17. I notice that my Yellow book has no passport number, but am in Europe so not an issue. But to those who have one with a passport number, do they just stick a new label over the old passport number with the new number, when the old one has run out? And if you were a woman, who got married, then do they stick a label over the name? Would look a bit suspicious then, my wife had this, I told her to get a new book before being vaccinated, as having sticky labels on this kind of document, at this time, is very suspicious and raises questions
  18. Good to see figures for new infections going down, but in reality this has been happening in Europe as well, then all of a sudden there is a sudden peak, which remains for some time. Shame about the deaths though, this is a number that will not really go down for a long time. (my opinion)
  19. just have to hope that the costs of the flight, hotel in Dubai are cheaper than that in the UK, the quality of the hotel will however, in Dubai be much better
  20. after staying 10 days in that country, as here people are wanting to return to the UK from Thailand, so a stop over must be that for at least 10 days, as per another poster posted
  21. vaccinated with one of the approved vaccines in either the UK, Europe or the US, not Thailand, if in Thailand still do your quarantine in the UK, as by the rules you will be classed as not vaccinated
  22. even using another country will not help, as you only transit there, your passport has no stamp for that country unless you physically go out of the Airport area. Then you are to follow the rules of that country, maybe Thailand is on their lists. And also your passport was scanned at your departure airport and also will be in the UK, this will then be spotted, and you are liable for a very expensive arrival in the UK
  23. Also those Thai wives or GFs who were about to apply for a Visa to the UK must be worried, I bet that the place in Trendy will be closed for applications for a while, I remember the German Embassy closing down during this pandemic
