  2. Yeah, all seems to come correct here now...

For my part I resize the pics to 1024 (including borders) on my computer before uploading on TVF, and in some threads (street for example), sometimes my pics come smaller than others.

    I can't figure why. Well I don't bother anyway...

Now have new hard drive so have space to do either way! ;)

    I've to purchase one too...

Can't figure one HD or a bunch of SD cards which is better.

  3. I do agree with HG. A fiend/relative carrying your guitar while flying to visit you should be the "cheapest" way (and maybe the safest)...

Basically, each items "category" is suited for a fee from 0 to 80%. For example, and from what I know, photographic accessories get a 10% fee, motorcycle accessories get a 30% fee, and so on... based on declared value + shipping cost and then add to that the 7% VAT.

On the thai custom web page you may find the music instruments category and the related fees.

Thouhg, problem may arise sometime it's up to the custom officer "that day that time". As a private you never defenitely know what fee may be applied to an imported item that right moment (it happened to me several times for the best and/or for the worst).

IMHO such a big box won't pass through customs clearance without to be noticed. It will surely be stopped and taxed.

3, 4 or even 5K fee wouldn't surprise me so much, though for sure I don't really know.

As said above, for this price (4-5K) you may find a "playable though cheap" guitar for sale in CNX. Not your €1000 rig I know, but at least a tool you'll not worry about anything.

Many young thai guitar players play this kind of guitar and are happy with...

    Though YMMV, I know...

    Good luck!

  4. Agree with FG: MIW is a "must see" in CNX about guitars.

Khun Prasit is very commited to his work, knows very well the guitar-world and is very friendly, though not speaking english...

Acoustic guitar usually on second floor. Several great brands and models to choose from...

    On Facebook:

As FG said, the shop is on the LHS down the Chanklang road (from Night-Bazar/Pantip Plaza).

Be careful, shop maybe not so easy to spot at first glance...

    Great time to spend there.

    Enjoy!

  5.

    Sure, great shots, Phil!

    And somptuous OOF backgrounds...

Composition/framing on the 3rd one (1916) is outstanding: wow!

    I'm amazed...

Once I tried to get some butterflies pics, but to no avail.

I was jumping, running and excited like a kid trying to follow the butterflies in their course in my garden. A lot of sweat and many shots, but nothing in focus or rightly framed.

    Burlesque...

    :cheesy:

  6. I do agree!

I think in this case the B&W just points out the essence of the pic: feeling/emotion + structure/shape/volume. Like a concentrate: the eye is not "distracted" by colors touches here and there...

Out of curiosity, and if you don't mind and get some time, please could you post the pic 1 in color at same scale your B&W above. I would be interested to see how it comes in color for comparison...

    Cheers.
