  1. Wife just had confirmation of visa approval today.

Applied for Spouse/Partner visa on August 23rd 2011

(Medical previously done so no requirement for additional medical)

Embassy phone interview with wife Tuesday 15th November.

Visa approval confirmation by phone from case officer Thursday 24th November.

Pickup stamped passport visa on Wednesday 30th November

Total amount of weeks from application: 13 weeks and 1 day.

Good luck to all the others currently going through the same process. We had no issues with any of the information provided and no additional documentation requested. My advice is to be extremely thorough with information provided, put in a plastic sleeve binder, front page identifies table of contents throughout the binder and all supporting documentation.

  2. She was contacted last Thursday to do her Medical. I contacted the case officer as she did a medical earlier in the year and as this falls within the 12 month medical time limit, they accepted her previous medical. So, didn't require additional medical. They did a phone interview yesterday so hoping it will come through soon.

We put in for our spouse/partner visa on 24th August, my wife was called today for her interview which is all completed now.

Here's hoping to a speedy approval now as officer confirmed all documents received and no requirement of further information.

Has she had her medical yet? My wife's was approved 17 days after her medical.Total time from application submission to approval was 15 weeks.

  3. I've at some times added a little BBQ sauce INTO the beef pattie when I'm making them. When all cooked and the additional condiments (lettuce, tomato, cheese, bacon, egg and beetroot) then I put on a little bit of Thousand Island Dressing. Tastes great.

I was once told as a kid, "It's not a good burger unless the juices are running down to your elbows while munching on it". I still agree!

  4. A favourite of mine is easy and very tasty.

1 frozen chicken. (rub salt, pepper and paprika on the entire chicken)

1 bag frozen vegetables (peas, carrots, corn etc)

    5 potatoes.

    1 packet Stroganoff mix seasoning

Get a crockpot (slowcooker), put in the frozen veggies first, then potatoes and then the stroganoff mix, put the chicken on top and in the fridge (Prepare the night before, takes about 5 minutes).

Before leaving for work, put the crockpot (slow cooker) on LOW and go to work.

Come home from work, house smells awesome, chicken falls off the bone and the veggies taste great.

    IMHO!

  5. I have friends coming from America. I would like to know if they can bring frozen meat products through customs at the airport.

In the past we've brought frozen sausages from Australia to Thailand without any problem at all. We were only limited by the amount of luggage we could bring.

We've found a good producer of sausages now so we don't even bother.

    Well don't stop there!

    Where?

A couple of friends of ours have been making Pork and Beef Australian snags. Fantastic to be honest with you. Taste just like back home at our butcher. I think they got our butchers recipe... LOL

They are located in Phuket but ship anywhere in Thailand.
