OK I just got information that the school I applied for and got accepted to was not a GOOD one.
I did not sign a contract and did not get a visa from them, so how do I gently decline the offer after it was given to me....mind you they have all my personal documents..scanned by computer..this includes degree, passport, etc...
I dont want to teach at a school that has a bad reputation!
Any advice would be appreciated!!

Hello All,
Quick question....
I have a BA from the U.S., however, would like to continue education.
I will be taking a teaching position pretty soon and will be in Thailand.
Is there an institution I can go to and study in that is recogonized world wide or at least accredited ? I am looking to either do an MBA or Masters in Early Childhood Development.
Any response would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone had any experience teaching the subject of mathematics? Level M3(junior high school).
I am stuggling between making this decision:
Teach English in Nakhon Sawan to Kindergaten = 28,500 K plus I can make an extra 10-15k per month for private lessons
private school
OR
Teach Mathematics in Suratthani to (high school)= 34k
government school

now you can add Phuket to the list.....hmmm...so many choices....I wonder whats the better place to live???

Two years ago, I heard of one school in Nakhon Sri Thammarat having 150 foreign teachers on their faculty, so it can't be too isolated. Chiang Mai, of course, is full of farang teachers, but wages are crap, and you're not likely to get work permit. Never having been a female, I have no idea how safe it is. I think you've already posted in our Ladies forum; they should know (but lots of posters in that forum are male).
I knew a 70 year old lady who lived in a northern province and taught school, but she probably didn't resemble you.
If you think you're vulnerable to being taken advantage of, it will probably show. I wouldn't worry about my own daughters making it on their own in Thailand, but again, they probably don't resemble you. Good luck.

Hello everyone I reallly need some help!!!
I got my TEFL in Thailand, taught there and lived there for 8 months...in Chon Buri with my boyfriend.
We are no longer together:( However I really loved Thailand, the culture, food, people even the heat. The thing is I have been hearing so much reports about westerners, females and tourist being raped, murdered and robbed. Mind you I am not a man with Thai assistance such as a girlfiend or wife. I want to go back to teach in Thailand , don't ask why its only for a mere 30k baht! Anyways please give me advice to these provinces or could anyone ask a Thai??? I need help??
Nakhon Sawan 28k a month
Surrathanni 34k a month
Si Thammarat 30k a month
and possibly Chiang Mai
I already have job offers from the first three provinces, do you think its safe for a single whit female to go about this on her own?????

Hello does anyone knows what this means??
I have been trying to call a few friends in Thailand. I am currently in the U.S. I dial the number and it goes into an automated instruction saying, "Welcome to call back center, for English press 2, " so I press 2 and then it says" to leave a number press 1 , to leav a new number press 2"???? Thats it...so what does that mean and what is a call back center....
Is the cell number non-exisiting or is it just turned off??
