I've been out of Thailand for a few years and am hoping someone could reply with their ideas on the most effective places to advertise/post my home for rent in Kathu Phuket.... Before the Phuket Gazette and Phuket News site worked well; but not this time around. Thanks for any suggestions.

Does the Bang Na or Chaeng Watthana passport offices take appointments for the passport renewal? The lady at the Royal Thai Consulate Los Angeles who stamped some documents for me is saying to make an appointment with the Bangkok office so she can email/fax/send the documents to get their faster then post. 
 

We tried to call Chaeng Watthana... no answer... does anyone have an updated address or phone number for the Bang Na passport renewal office?

Does anyone know how fast a Thailand passport can be renewed in Phuket? We'd prefer to do it in Phuket if they have the express service; otherwise we will do it in Bangkok. Thanks for any suggestions!

He cannot depart the country with a expired passport. He will have to have a new one.

My wife and 13year old son are both dual citizens of Thailand and USA.... They recently entered Thailand via their Thai passports... my son's Thai passport is expired but his USA passport is valid. ( Not sure why/how they stamped him in on his expired passport or why his mother didn't use the valid usa passport ) .... Given that he entered Thailand on his expired Thai passport; will he be able to exit Thailand without renewing his expired Thai passport?

We had to purchase because we wanted the mother in law to fly with her daughter on the same flight.... she'd probably get lost and miss her connecting flight without assistance!

We ended up booking our ticket... if we don't get the visa we get most of the ticket price back. Ticket to usa was 35,000 ... we'd get back around 30,000 if we return the ticket. We booked with an agent in Phuket.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to read this post... we are looking to purchase a round trip ticket on China Air from BKK to San Fran that will be refundable if we do not get a tourist visa to usa. We'll know if we get the visa or not about 12 - 16 days before the scheduled departure.

My thai wife has had a usa greencard for 1.5 years... her mother ( Thai national ) would like to visit us here in the usa on a tourist visa. My wife and son are going to Bangkok in April and are hoping to attend her mothers interview for the visa. I'm wondering if this is allowed. Thanks for any suggestions!

I'm a u.s. citizen and my thai wife is here with me in the states with a greencard. We'd like to have her mother ( thai citizen ) come to visit us here in the states for a few months. I guess this would be a tourist visa B-1/B-2 .... just wondering where the most up to date instructions and info is now.

That is good to know about the previous working day trick. Yes I understand 3000 is not a lot to be paying early on in the mortgage when so much of the loan is still interest bearing... but I'm saying it will shift an additional 3000 baht! When I go in to pay at the bank I get the receipts... I can compare them when their interest rates are exactly the same rate.... if I pay late way more goes towards interest only. Gigantic way for these guys to make easy cash off of unsuspecting customers. The tellers must either not know their stuff or just pretend not to know.

Hi, we've got a home loan with saim commercial bank and wanted to know if anyone out there has any good intel on avoiding fees with them.

If your normal payment is on say the 5th of each month will it ALWAYS be on that day or does it shift depending on how many days are in the month?

I've shown up a day or two late before and asked what my penalty was for being late and the teller assured me there was no penalty. I had this happen on several occasions. However they were really hitting us with HUGE fees in the form of far less of the payment going towards the principal. Example: We pay 15,500 baht a month and when we'd pay late it would be a 3,000 baht difference going towards principal!!

My Thai spouse does not have her vaccination records from childhood. We're here in the USA now applying for a greencard and the civil surgeons say they will need to do tests that could run up to $700 to find out which vaccinations she still needs.

She's 37, has anyone been successful in obtaining vaccination records this old from Thai hospitals/schools or from the government?

My spouse and I are already in the united states, I'm a u.s. citizen and she is here on a tourist visa... plans have changed and we need to apply for a green card for her. In the I-130 instructions it says we can file the I-130 and I-485 at the same time. I'm wondering what the pros and cons are of doing it concurrently vs separately.
