1. Maerim, before posting on the board next time , could you please improve your grammar and spelling, as half of what you've written is illegible, and the other half is boring dribble.

Ned

Do tell us about this "poor" Thai woman living in poverty ( is that suberb of Sydney?).

You seem to "know" her so well, in the 5 years she was living this way where you ?

Doing a bit of home help? Nudge nudge. Checking the waterworks, did you have go "deep" ?

The same as all immigrants they will do anything for their home country except one thing.

Go home.

Still the best ending to a Thai woman's gravy train I have heard yet.

Thanks Ned

By the way your film appearances seem to be a thin on the ground lately.

As the tin man in the Wizard of Oz I thought you were great, a bit poncy but what do you expect from an Australian.

As to the armour I would suggest a new approach to weapon development.

Wearing a dustbin and a watering can with a couple of holes cut out so you can see might be ( if I may be so bold) to say is a bit outdated not to say hilarious on the other hand the cops would probably miss through laughing that much..

Give my regards to your mum.

2. Nothing has appeared that would preclude this type of visa, but, it has already become very difficult to obtain in countries near Thailand and there could be added requirements put in place at some time in the future. If you are using visa for normal trips and staying out of Thailand for periods it should not be a problem but if you are living here full time you could be asked to explain how you manage to live at some point during visa runs. But it also appears this will not be a problem if you can offer proof of income from abroad that you are using for support so they might also ask for a bank account with deposit as with visa extensions at some point.

So, in sum, sorry don't know for sure, for sure.

Lopburi can you post details of this statement please: but, it has already become very difficult to obtain in countries near Thailand and there could be added requirements put in place at some time in the future.

- if you renew your driving license a few days BEFORE the expiry date you'll get only an extension for another year

- if you renew your driving license a few days AFTER the expiry date you'll get an extension for another 5 years

By the way, the price was 505 THB for the 5-years extension.

there may have been a misunderstanding on your part.

I renewed my DL also at Dao Khanong last November four days before expiry and was asked if I like to have a one or five year DL. Of course I took the 5 years.

No problem and 505.-Baht was all I had to pay.

4. It would be great if someone could let me know if a Non Immigrant "O" visa has ever been obtained on the basis of having a child who was born in Thailand, and also resides in Thailand.

Would a 30 year old Aussie male be able to obtain a Non Immigrant "O" visa at a Thai embassy in Australia or a neighboring country on the basis of having had a child born in Thailand with a Thai female national(he is not married with the lady), the child resides in Thailand and relies on the financial support of the male. If the visa is obtainable would it be multiple entry 1 year visa?

Any info or experiences in applying will be appreciated.

Thanks.

5. I will be travelling to Surin in the next month. I have a multiple entry non-immigrant "B" visa, and wiil need to exit Thailand at the same time in  order to have another 90 day stay in Thailand. So I will cross to Cambodia at the Chong Chom/O'Smach immigration. Can anyone confirm that I'll be given the normal 90 day stay in Thailand passport stamp at this border crossing when I re-enter Thailand from Cambodia? Also how much is the visa cost to enter into Cambodia for a farang?, and can I obtain it on the spot when I'm departing Thailand? And the fare from Surin to the border, which methods are there and the cost? Any information on this trip would be greatly appreciated!
6. Regarding 3 years on a non-immigrant visa as a way to become illegible for residency in Thai, can anyone advise me if this has to be a full non-stop of 3 years or can it be broken for a few days?

Also I have a 1 year multiple entry visa which expires on June 29th 2004, if I was to enter Thailand on June 20th 2004 would I be given the usual 3 month stamp to stay in Thailand?
