  1. Wait, so if there is a phoneline in the village it's likely one can get DSL?

My girlfriends village is in the middle of Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom provinces and there is a phoneline in her house. Alot of the houses have one. The closest town is about 18km away(Na Wa) and it´s possible to get DSL there.

What would you guys say my chances are? :o

  2. You said in your first post that it's not cheap... It makes me wonder, what are you paying?

One vial of 250mg should not cost more than a few hundred bath. I assume he is giving you a moderate dosages of no more than 250mg/week. The normal fee for an injection is 100 bath. All and all, if you would buy the stuff on your own and just go to a clinic to get it injected it should be no more than 400 bath/week.

You can get 3 vials of 250 mg Sustanon in Pattaya for 150 baht. That would last a guy on HRT (hormon replacement therapy) 3 to 4 weeks. That's dirt cheap and easy to self inject too. You could easily do it for 50 baht per week.

As Jessy mentioned, get the blood checked...also can be done cheaply at various clinics in Pattaya.

I would not recomend anyone using sustanone for hormone replacement therapy. A single longacting ester like enanthate or cypionate is much better for this purpuse. To be able to maintain stable of levels of testosterone in the body when using sustanone you should inject it once every 2 days. I doubt the OP would want that.

I got a feeling someone will quote me and say this aint true etc.The common knowledge about steroids in the "gym" is usually... not that good. So, OP.. Don't take my word for any of this. Just keep it in mind and read up on it your self.

  4. I'd like to know this too.. This is what is says on the thai embassy website in my homecounrty:

    "B. Non-Immigrant Visa 1 yr ( Multiple Entries )

Those who are married with Thai :-

    * Copy of Marriage Certificate

    * Copy of Spouse's Thai ID Card / Thai passport"

It says nothing about showing proof of your income. Im in a tricky situation too, im making my living thru the internet and can't really show any paperwork of my income.

  5. The stuff the brit told you in Pattaya, that she is playing games with you, no way. It's "just" 100k. The girls that got the patients to stay with a guy for several years to cash in one big time do it for way bigger money. These guys that keep telling you stuff like that are the ones that has gotten burnt, bad. By telling everyone else there is no love to find in Thailand make them feel better.

After reading your story, I just can't imagine she would scam you now, for a pitty 100k. It's probably just your mind playing tricks on you.

  6. Quite a few people has been telling me the same thing in this thread, that it's a bad idea. Good, I just wanted to know more about it and will absolutley not support my missus going thru with anything like this. I think I made that pretty clear after getting all the response I got.

What I really dont get is why this prick, blizzard, that has been giving the same advice as everyone else being raised to the skyes. The only diffrence between him and the others here is that he got a little twist to his comments - a nice bunch of insults. My crusade against him in this thread has absolutely nothing to do with his knowledge nor his advice.

I'm not a very active writer here but I do read alot, but in the future when im helping out others I will make sure to add some "lols", few hundred dots and insult the OP for being curious, then simply just wait and read all the comments on how great I am.

    Jesus.... :o

  7. not just you. when i tell op he is silly they usually get their knickers in a knot. even though the majorty are saying the same thing.

That's where you are wrong. You are the only one making assumptions on your own and making insults based on that. You have absolutely nothing incommon with the "majorty". They are here to help. You are here to troll.

  8. Sorry if I looked a bit harsh, but be careful in Isaan. Even the girls there don't understand most of the bad tricks some people can use.

Sometime they engage in some crappy deal even an 8 year child would refuse in Europe, just for the face.

Itś your money you earn from your hard work, keep it safe. Cheers.

No, not at all hp8000. I appreciate you posting and reinforce what the other guys are telling me.

I'm sorry if I came out looking like I was angry at you, that was not my intention. It's that troll blizzard that gets on my nerves. Cheers :o

  9. I'm just stunned. What is going on in your head..? ohmy.gif

I don't think it's worthwhile to risk your visa, trouble with local people and headaches for peanuts. Coz you'll get only peanuts.

    Yep, hear you.

  10. Blizzard is right. You will loose.

Would you lend money to perfect strangers in your homecountry ? No. So why here knowing that it can be used for gambling, drinking or ???

Keep your money and let the bank deals with such business.

I simply wanted more information about it. With the overwhelming response and all the facts laid out I dropped the thought of helping the missus right away. That's what boards are for right..?

It has absolutetly nothing to do with blizzard's posts. Seriously, to be frank.. Am I the only one that understand that he's a moron? Ok, he got that "cool & retarted style" which probably makes people laugh, but other than that..?

  11. dude you gonna lose yr munney sooner or later with yr logic.

you lending munney to yr gurl to lend is same same as you lendng munney directly.

we all saying same same, you are one silly farang if you even thought this was a good idea. how these low edukated village girls can take advantage of western edulated men i just dont understand.

smart peeple(countrywide financial) dont know how to lend munney to poor peeple and make munney, i doubt you could do it.................lol.

I'm just stunned. What is going on in your head..? :o

  12. why dont u put yr gf on allowance. whatever interest she would have collected on lending yr money is her allowance.

this is one cas where farang shouldnt try to be thai.....................lol.

does one lose all senses when one decides to live in village?

I dont know if you are refeering to me..?

But if you would bother reading the first post, not just the topictext - you will see I, myself never intended to lend cash. My girlfriend wanted to. However, it concered me, since im the one giving her the cash to start up. That's why I asked here, and I got some great feedback and is not going thru with supporting this. Save your smart comments to some other thread where it actaully make sense, mate.

  13. Thanks for all feedback. Been usfull (Except Blizzard's reply, as usuall). I have to say this made me think a quite a bit.... Doing this in a larger scale is obviously not a wise thing to do.

READ.....Doing not is a wise thing.

    :o

    Yeah, you are right.. :D

  15. It's moneylending. That word freaks me out...

I want to know more if im even going to consider to help her start out with this (=give her a few K :o )

Well, my questions are... Does this sound right? Farmland as collateral... can that really be safe? Is there someone with own experiences with stuff like this?

It's not that I dont trust my girl, but her english is far from perfect so I just feel that I need some more information about this IF I decide to help her out.

I know that my Gr/Wife's sisters sit on this type of council and meet I think twice a year, all the people that borrowed money come back together to pay off the loan and then a lot turn around and reborrow, many have to borrow money from other sources to pay back this loan, however easily pay back the source when the village fund gives them their new loan. I think people who have money can contribute to this fund and receive interest on their monies and then recoup their funds at the end of the given time period, I would think the loan would have to be secured some how either by land or a solid government job or store, not sure if this is just a village initiated deal or part of a government thing (sounds more like a traditional village thing, I never asked her so don't know sorry not much help),

With that said my Grrrr/Wife has been lending money for years out of her own account, some people put up their land, others promise a portion of their crop instead of money, at times she will take rice so she is set for the year. So far so good, everyone has paid her back in one way or another with no hard feelings on either party.

Thanks alot for your reply iono. Seems like my girl sumed it up for me about right then.... Perhaps i'll give it a try in a smaller scale at first, then if everything is going allright I might put some more cash into it.

Acording to my gf, the whole farm would be happy if more money is out there in circulation, more money to invest - more cropse. But I can't help to think that it's actaully 60% a year for the poor farmers to come up with... Ah, well - I trust they know what they're doing.

  16. My girl keep telling me about this "fast" way to earn money in Isaan if you allready got some dough.

It's moneylending. That word freaks me out...

I want to know more if im even going to consider to help her start out with this (=give her a few K :o )

This is what ive been able to make out of her description:

Every sunday, something best described as the "village council" meets up and the people in her village area comes there to borrow/lend money. All the business that is going on is controlled by the "council" for the safety for everyone. The going rate is 5% a month. There is always collateral, most of the times farmland. It's made sure by everyone that the land is worth more than the amount being lended.

Well, my questions are... Does this sound right? Farmland as collateral... can that really be safe? Is there someone with own experiences with stuff like this?

It's not that I dont trust my girl, but her english is far from perfect so I just feel that I need some more information about this IF I decide to help her out.

  17. Actually now I understand why there are so many people who complain so much about silly things, most of the farangs in Thailand are elderly

Well, at least on this forum. Im a member of many diffrent thailand-messageboards and this is the one I go to if I want some good ol' complaning.... or just want some good information about a certian area (cant deny there are alot of wise men here, even tho they are old) :o

  18. They are beggars, who ask for money and you have the option of saying "Yes Mr. Tramp" or "No Mr. Tramp" they are not conartists. I am so rich i can afford to be ripped off/scammed/tricked out of a full 500 Baht oncw in a while without worrying about it.

If he bothers you so much next time you go there do as Neeranam says, grass him up and get him deported, our saviour.

You are rich and can afford to get scammed for 500bath once in a while. Good for you.

However, I doubt the average person he is scamming is as rich as you. He is begging in a third world country, remember.

  19. Apparantly that guy has been begging in Bangkok for years and is making a good living.

He is the Dutch beggar, lives in Wireless Rd. in one of those lovely new condos, he has a passion for fine port and wines of which his collection is the envy of Bkk's polite society, every other weekend whilst not begging he enjoys nothing more then a day at the races where he is the most frivolous spendfree jester on the circuit.

    Backpackers i sh1t em!

Ok, clumpsy me. Let me put it this way. Making a good living - financially, compared to most thais, from begging. I find that sick.

If he made comparitively less then Thai beggars would your sickness problem be cured. Should foreign beggars in the UK be obliged to forfeit profits made above and beyond that of lets say a Jock addicted to the "purple tin" scrounging at Waterloo station.

Come on there are many thieves, scoundrels and vagabonds in Thailand, these beggars are harmless from what i see.

It was always my goal in life to get by doing as little as possible, these people are like heroes to me.

Im not sure we are not on the same page here. These guys we are discussing here are conartists. If you dont have a problem with people from a western country making a living by ripping people off in a thirdworld country then I dont know what to say.

Starting to think you are just trolling, if not, you should lay off they drugs.
