  1. Phrae is just a quiet small town so you won't see many foreigners living there. Well, there are a few of foreigners living there. There is an English guy named Karl owns a guesthouse called Thepavong Place, if you need a foreign friend to talk with. Sorry, there is no "foreign community" here in Phrae. By the way, where-about in Phrae you'll be living or staying in?

  2. You can take a bus, Green Bus, from Chiang Mai and get off at the intersection where you'll see the police stop and box in Long (but not in downtown of Long) and if you have anyone in Long you know, you might need to call them to pick you up from there because I'm not sure if there is any songthaew waiting there. But if this sounds a bit inconvenient then just take the bus all the way from Chiang Mai to Phrae, get off the bus at Phrae bus station then take a songthaew back to Long.

  3. I'm sure it's easy for everyone to slip in to it but as soon as I found myself doing it I'll try to correct it immediately. I am not 1st language English speaker so I try to improve my English as much as possible. Speaking pidgin English to Thais does more bad for them than good on my opinion so I try to speak as normally as I am able, they might even learn something new. If they never learn new words how can they improve?

I have an american friend who is an engineer. Most of the time when he talks to his wife he uses the same language he would when at work. Most of the words go straight over her head. Rather than her saying she does not understand she just nods her head and acts as if she understood. You cannot learn new words if you fail to understand any of the sentence.

I also did like his wife does many times in the past. Well, most of the time I use American English words, and many times when I talked to my british teacher I really couldn't understand what he was trying to say to me because he spoke British English. Luckily, I have an American friend who always teaches me English and he was a first person who taught me to speak English. I just started learning English seriously last 2 years ago when I was 13 years old and now I am 15. I've won the English tests of Sermpanya Company ranked as 1st of my province for 2 years ( last year and this year ). I really thank my friend who helped me with my English.

  4. Why do the democrat party and the government have to do anything to stop PPP being new government since this sucks stupid soldier government cannot do anything good for Thailand? And I think that's why Thailand can't be peaceful because of this. Why this government just can't accept the truth and result of the election on Sunday? Democrat prime minister in the past always waited waited waited and waited over and over to fix the country's problems and finally didn't fix or do anything for us. I just can't stand this stupid government. TIT! Thailand sucks.

  5. I'd like to know if there will be anything wrong or any complaints for a 15 years old girl to be a helper for the English camps? Well, that 15 years old girl is me. I want to be a helper for the English camps, maybe just call as a volunteer because I don't expect for the money. I just want to help the students with their English at least I can help them for a bit is better than I don't help. Many people told me that my English is quite good and those people who told me were the native speakers. My achievement is that I've won the 1st prize of my province from the English tests from Sermpanya Company for 2 years ( last year and this year ). Last year I got 88 pts out of 120 pts. This year I am ranked at 1st of Phrae Province, 16th of Northern part of Thailand, 93rd of Thailand and 105 pts out of 120 pts. I think I improved quite much in 1 year. So, if teachers who run the English camps want to have a volunteer/helper for their camps can contact me [by sending a PM to the poster]

    Thanks,

    A
