Although there is no simple way to distinguish a viral sore throat from a bacterial sore throat (strep throat), sometimes you can distinguish between the two based on your symptoms:

Sounds like alopecia areata, an autoimmune disease. The cause is unknown. This disorder causes hair follicles to stop producing hairs.
Here is some info about this condition: http://www.alopeciaareata.com/default2.asp
And here is a quite complete list of possible hair loss causes: http://www.originaldrugs.com/hair-loss-drugs.shtml

Both medications are SSRIs. But each has its unique features, which should be considered when choosing the medication.
Fluoxetine has the longest half life of all SSRI (it means that is stays longer in your system). Lexapro (escitalopram) is an improved version of Celexa.
Here is comparison of Lexapro with other antidepressants: http://www.emedexpert.com/compare-meds/escitalopram.shtml

Ketorolac (Toradol) appears to be the most potent NSAID (pain relieving effects comparable to weak opioids). However, it is not recommended to take it for more than 5 days.

I take vitamins when I remember to take them

The main disadvantage of all antivirals (acyclovir, valacyclovir, and famciclovir) is that they are not active against latent virus. These meds can also reduce the risk of herpes transmission (as they suppress viral shedding).

Hi Jaiyenyen,
Although some people may have the same problem, I think bleeding nose is not a thing to not worry about. It means that small blood vessels can't sustain the pressure. Uncontrolled high blood pressure may have negative consequences.
Sheryl's suggestions are very reasonable. You need to keep your blood pressure under control. There are many types of blood pressure medications. And you need a good doctor to choose a suitable medication (or combination of meds) for you.

I agree with Mamanoodle. You can try something for babies, because such detergents are usually gentle.

Hi nomadspike
It looks like any medication can cause hypersensitivity reaction, and Ciprofloxacin and Tinidazole are not exceptions.
What was the diagnosis for which antibiotic combo was prescribed? If the diarrhea was the only symptom, it is somewhat strange to start with potent antibiotics.

I had rubber band ligation and infrared photocoagulation therapy. Ligation made external piles worse, but helped with large internal piles. Topical ointments and suppositories can relief pain and itching but do nothing with hemorrhoid lump size.
This article gives comparison of hemorrhoids treatment methods

Is pressure of 100/50 too low? If so, what is the lowest I should be having and still be OK?
Of course, the pressure 100/50 is considered low, but some people feel good with similar numbers. So it is very individual. If you are fine with this pressure I think there is no need to elevate it.
And if you are not going to continue drinking, you will probably need the lower dose of blood pressure meds.

You need a blood test to detect your potassium level. A high level of potassium in the blood is dangerous for heart and kidneys.

Andysuitls,
Do you know her diagnosis? What medication did she take?
Bladder pain and painful urinating sound much like UTI (urinary tract infection ) or IC (Interstitial cystitis). However these conditions are not treated with surgery. IC needs surgery in very rare cases of intolerable symptoms. UTI just can't be treated with surgery because it is a bacterial infection of the urinary tract.

Tranexamic acid is a potent anti-fibrinolytic medication. Fibrin is the basic framework for the formation of a blood clot. It’s main uses are treatment or preventing of excessive bleeding. Can’t find any other “off-label” uses.

I’m not a doctor, but as far as I know the statins may be prescribed only when diet and lifestyle changes failed. All medications have their risks and potential side effects. And they should be used only when benefits overweight possible risks and complications.
On the other hand, meds are often overused and overprescribed. Swallowing the pill is very comfortable and easy, much easier than changing diet and life habbits.
My opinion is that it is a long debate about medications pros and cons.

For sore throat try to drink lots of warm fluids (e.g. tea, herbal tea). It helps to relive pain in the throat and clear up the infection.
than more and more spots on my skin got infected. A small scratch and I got a big problem. If the new scratches continue to get infected you may need the treatment with systemic antibiotic.

There are clinical trials supporting effectiveness of tramadol and acetaminophen combination for fibromyalgia.
Thaigone:
"Thai massage helps lots but it is short term. hel_l, even if I somehow solve this problem I will still get my daily Thai massage."
It is great that you have found some helpful treatment. I would like to note, that pain meds also can bring only temporary relief while you take them.

Girlx, do you know what triggers your allergy? The best treatment for allergy is avoiding the allergen. There are different tests that could be done to determine the allergen.

Make sure you get enough amounts of potassium daily. Potassium helps balance the amount of sodium in your cells.
Some lifestyle strategies may help to control high blood pressure. When lifestyle changes have failed, than medications can be considered.
I accidentally come across the electronic device called Resperate for lowering blood pressure. You can google it, they have the site and discussion forum about this device. Maybe there are other similar devices.

Everyone is different, so it is usually trial and error until you find the antidepressant that will work for you. Some people get relief from depression with combo of two antidepressants with different mechanisms of action (e.g. Wellbutrin+Effexor).
Besides antidepressants, there are different therapies (psychotherapy, light therapy). I totally agree with Sheryl about doctor. She needs a qualified specialist to find the appropriate treatment.

If I need to take antibiotics, I prefer to take several extra doses then to under-treat the infection.

What type of headache do you have? It looks like propoxyphene in not the best medicine for any type. It is a narcotic analgesic. Often, combined medicines like butalbital apap caffeine (Fioricet, Esgic) are very effective for headaches. Combinations with narcotic analgesic tramadol apap (ultracet), butalbital apap codeine (Fiorinal) alow to use the lower dose of narcotic painkiller.
If your headaches are migraines it might be better to take specific medications like imitrex. Also antidepressants and anticonvulsants may be used for prevention of migraines.

For severe acne that does not respond to other treatments, minocycline may be used. It is very effective for acne, but has a risk of serious side effects like lupus-like syndrome. Topical treatments like topical retinoids are safer alternatives to systemic medications.
