mrmnp: I read an article recently which said that the majority of convicted pedophiles are also homosexual. That is were I'm making the connnection. Since Alfred Kinsey acknowledged himself as a pedophile the connection for me is believable.

Kasi ... please cite your source about the majority of Pedo's being homosexual. All reports including those from the prison systems show that 90% are heterosexual. I will be happy to cite sources if you like :-) Oh ... and Kinsey might just be a LITTLE dated (1955?)

I love the word "lifestyle". What exactly is this gay lifestyle you speak of? Do you think my life resembles that of the other gay people in this forum more than it resembles yours? Being 39 and living in Thailand (as a student now and soon as a business owner I think) pretty well makes me less like some of the men in here than one would guess ... and as for lifestyles just think about the word for a minute. Then think if my life is the same as yours other than where I put my penis then why would anyone care? If this is true then why not jump on the gay rights bandwagon with us? All I want out of life is to have what all people want. Good luck to you and hope you see past the "lifestyle" argument :-)

Hey Guys, does anyone know where the nearest gay bars are in Hua Hin, I am aware of three but the offer the usual massage plus extras which isn't my bag. Would like to meet gay people on a purely platonic basis, if that is possible.

Sorry ... no non-commercial gay bars in Hua Hin .. though there are several gay farang living here ... and a slew of available non-commercial Thai men. you can try the gay.com bkk room to meet people but I don't think a non-off bar would do enough business to be profitable here.

hmmm I think if you mean making out then I could agree with you if applied to all people regardless of gender. However if you mean a kiss I think you are more than just a little bit predjudiced. I tend to hold my BF's hand in a taxi and not in public (unless at DJ Station or Freeman Arena or Soi4 etc) but I tend to try and act Thai because as a farang living in Thailand I will never ever get it right! Kids and families need to see gay people as normal adults and a casual kiss between people in love is always a good thing

From Victory Monument near the hospital you can take a minivan to HH for about 160 baht

From Sai Tai Mai (Southern Bus Terminal) you can do AC bus for 128

from the main train station you can get to HH for less than 200 but I do 2nd class air for 212

have no idea of hotel rates in town sorry
