Yes it seems to be case by case basis as my friend also had his wife visa issues with a 8503 (not that it was a issue as it was only for a holiday) clause as they are also bringing his wifes adopted grandson to Aus this week, But another friend of mine last year bought his family to Aus through this way ie tourist then applying for a residency visa. I think it depends on your circumstance and if Australian children are involved they are more likely to be leanient. Wish me luck ! 555
I wish you good luck in that you don't have 8503 imposed as I believe this is the best way to apply in AUS.
I should have stated this on her tourist visa this was our intention and taken my chances.
At the moment I am still deciding on whether reapplying for tourist visa stating our true intentions or just applying for 309.
Then apply for a tourist visa as Surin13 says in an above post.

My Thai girlfriend was refused a second tourist visa just yesterday as they said she spent too much time in Australia and was trying to circumvent proper migration channels.
I too had hoped for a multiple entry visa without condition 8503 imposed so that we could lodge permanent residence in Australia.
Reading all of the above it appears that we have no other option than to apply for a 309 visa in Thailand.

I don't know why I am so worried about the 24hr as it will be the wife getting fined and her boyfriend will have to pay.

You might find asking about it will be different from doing it. I think if you went in with the TM30 completed by your wife with copies of her house book and ID card they would probably accept it or perhaps you could give a good excuse for her not being with you.
That will be my approach when I come back and play it by ear from there. No worries for an excuse that's for sure.

If an extension based upon marriage she would have to there anyway.
Did you get your re-entry permit?
Whether you have to do the report when you return depends upon the immigration office you have to use. Only a few offices are asking for it.
I would not worry about unless you need to do something at immigration that would require it (extension of stay application).
Yes and the office I use definitely requires it as I have already been stung by it and only went to Bangkok o/nite.

What do I do now that my wife has run off with another farang. I asked immigration the other day and they said my wife had to report address with me. I still live in her house that I paid for. CheersTywais, on 27 Nov 2015 - 22:18, said:

Why? They try to charge the wifes and they can ignore it and wait for a court rule. But this the Thai wives would win because the immigration have the address already and this rule is for business only!!! It not bring problem to a farang!!!
It is not for business only. Don't always rely upon a website wording as being accurate, read the actual law. Here is the article, Section 38 1979 Immigration Act and it does not state businesses only. As already said, bad advice.
Section 38 : The house master , the owner or the possessor of the residence , or the hotel manager where the alien, receiving permission to stay temporary in the Kingdom has stayed, must notify the competent official of the Immigration Office located in the same area with that house, dwelling place or hotel, within 24 hours from the time of arrival of the alien concerned. If there is no Immigration Office located in that area, the local police official for that area must be notified. In case the house, dwelling place, or hotel where the alien has stayed under provision of Para.1 is located within the Bangkok area, such notification must be reported to the competent official at the Immigration Division.

which one has all the bells and whistles.Unless you have the Blue Tabien Ban House Book with your name on it, you're out of luck. I tried to use my voucher at Home Pro and they checked my Tabien Ban Leeung - Yellow book address against the address on the voucher - OK but...the house is registered in the missus name so she grabbed the one with the most bells & whistles and we were out of there.

To answer my own question, seems the only way is plug the modem directly into your computer to be able to log into it.
-
When I bridge my modem with ip 192.168.1.1 and use my dlink router in pppoe, I can no longer log into the modem. Do I need to change the routers IP address to higher than 1.1? thanks

I had very similar problems, lost connection about 20 times in one morning. Rang 3bb came out, checked modem, all good and said they were going to check the line and when the came back all working perfectly.

Quick way to get Aus residency for Thai defacto
in Visas and migration to other countries

Lucky I didn't state my true intentions on the tourist application.
I will go to the 309 way and hopefully she will receive PR and we can stay in AUS as planned.
Cheers
