Question, when I go through passport control at BKK can I go through with my Thai wife or must I wait on the long line with the other falang?

OK guys, I got the e visa. It was a bit of a hassel but worked out OK. Another question, can I got through passport control at BKK along with my Thail wife or must I wait with the resy of the falang?

Oops, I forgot that I had already asked this question months ago!  But one more question, my return ticket is about 10 days shy of 90 days. Will that cause a problem when entering with either visa?

Greetings,  I will be visiting Thailand next month and need some advice on which visa to get, on arrival or tourist visa?   I'm coming from the USA and will stay for just under 90 days. I do have a return ticket that indicates that. What say you?

I've rented cars from major rental firms in New York and Puerto Rico with my 5 year Thai DL and no IDP.

Used them last month, paid at 7-11. No problem and the price was right.

Try the Honey Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 19 just a stones throw from the Westin Hotel. Less than 1000 baht a night and yes it has a pool.

Has anyone submitted a US customs form 105 to report currency in excess of $10,000, and if so what was your experience?

I'm not looking to break any laws, I just don't want to raise any red flags. Trying to deal with these govt. agencies when you live on the other side of the world is a hassle I can do without.

I also wonder if any gold bars (1 baht, 2 baht) would count toward that $10,000 figure.

Any feedback from personal experience would be appreciated.

Looks like soi 11 or 15 if I can get that far. My map doesn't show a connection from soi 11 to 19 but I guess I need a better map.

I could use some "eyes" in Bangkok please.

We are driving into Bangkok this weekend to meet some visiting friends from abroad and will need to get to our hotel on soi 19. We usually exit the tollway at Sukhumvit and drive east to soi 19, (the Westin hotel is on that corner) The hotel says we should turn at soi 15 and come in from the back but they were not sure.

Once we are there and parked we will use public transport to get around but I do want my car parked securely at the hotel.

So my question is, can I drive east on Sukhumvit to soi 15 or 19 without being stopped?

Any info would be helpful and thanks in advance.

1. How far in advance of my retirement visa expiration date can I extend it? I was told 45 days.

2. Is my proof of income letter from the US embassy valid for 6 months?

We flew on Kuwait airlines a few years ago. While the service and cabin crew were fine, the equipment was quit old and often had problems, ie; headphone or TV screen not functioning properly. The layover in Kuwait is also a bummer, although on our return from NY they put us up in the airport hotel and even fed us. If the price was right I might fly them again.

My main browser is GoogleChrome. It is now impossible to download from Youtube using this browser. Maybe it will be fixed. I am able to easily download Youtube videos using Firefox.

I usually download youtube videos to watch on my laptop because my connection is too slow to watch most things on their website. But yesterday I wasn't able to download anything. I just got a very long error message that didn't make much sense. Maybe this is the same issue. I've no idea how to fix it though.
