You have a legitimate Visa with your address on it, you have a 2 year Work Permit with your address on it, you own a car registered at your home address, but still your G/F has to go every 3 months/every time you stay in a hotel/every time you leave the country on business. What a shambles of a procedure, absolutely no connectivity or communications between systems. And to top it off my boss goes to Rayong and they say 'No need', 'dont bring back again'!!! <deleted>!

Do the biometrics at point of entry that's what most countries do now, Singapore (fingerprint) UK (handprint), but then again that would be too much work for the smiling immigration crew to handle in between putting twenty different stamps everywhere!!

Call me old fashioned but shouldn't a Stadium and Major Sports facility have decent access/egress roads? TiT the plan is to plan to deal with it afterwards!

Barnier et al his thieving unelected bureaucrats flapping because they know it will be the start of the destruction of their gravy train. Default is no deal and out, follow the path and the wishes of the majority to leave. Barnier and his fellow crooks can mull over where they went wrong trying to bully the British people, No to the backstop, No to May's Deal, Yes to No Deal.

The horse bolted long ago at the initial planning stages, if there was any.................... Now the knee jerking from RTP with ineffective solutions that will be implemented but never enforced commence.
As the old adage goes 'By failing to plan/prepare you are planning/preparing to fail'

25 minutes ago, 4MyEgo said:you can actually see the tractor guy reversing as to say, oh sheeet this guy is going to hit me, although he should have just jumped to avoid breaking some ribs, getting his spleen removed, or at least having the wind taken out of him.
The guy in the tractor is clearly working clearing the road edge and was reversing back after completing that part, first he knew of it was probably hearing the skid. But as usual in Thailand none or insufficient hazard warning that works are ongoing. The stop line, like many I see in Thailand, is in a position where it is impossible to see the road you are joining, who has a Stop line immediately followed by Give Way lines?? Nothing knew for poor and incomprehensible road markings in Thailand. Blame? Does it matter Thai logic will prevail, at least no one was killed this time!

I smell complete BS, a Glock has three separate safety systems to prevent accidental discharge (firing pin, drop and trigger), all three failed, I don't think so!!!

Do you get a refund on the way out if you dont use the medical services?? A joke of any idea, I have travelled the world extensively for the past 30+ years and never been asked in any country to directly pay up front for potential medical treatment. Simple solution no travel/medical insurance no visa or flight ticket issued.
Impulse your comments are laughable!
Look at your airplane ticket. Add up all the taxes and fees above and beyond the base airfare. Then keep in mind the fee for departure from BKK has been 700 baht since 2007. Adding another 500 baht to the cost of an airplane ticket sucks, but inflation is part of life.
Whether they just call it an adjustment in the departure tax, or an increase in visa fees, a health care fee, or a homeland security fee, doesn't really matter in the scheme of things. It's just another tax.
It's getting more expensive to come to, and stay in Thailand. Yet tourist numbers are going up pretty much every year. For every disgruntled westerner, there are a half dozen Chinese and Indians just crossing the threshold to become world tourists.
The way I read it, they're proposing to add something like $1-2 per day to the cost of a visit to Thailand. I refuse to get too excited about that. My food costs went up many times that just in the past year. My commuting costs went up 10x that a few years back in the US. My rent here has gone up more than that much in the past year.
Bad news- It's only going to get worse and more expensive, just like food, fuel and all the other things we spend our money on. I can accept it and move on, or I can choose to stew in the misery of reality. I know which way I'm trying to go.
Mmmmm Sounds like your stewing on the misery then! For me it makes no odds, I have no need to look at the detailed breakdown of a ticket, my company pays anyway. Neither do I worry about the money, but it is the principle of trying to put on an additional fee to foreign visitors, many of whom are already covered, and lie that it will go to healthcare rather than line another part of the government's pockets.

Border Terrier Or Norfolk Terrier In Thailand
in Plants, Pets & Vets in Thailand
Posted
Hi Todd
I did extensive searches here in Thailand for Borders about one and half years ago, eventually brought one of my brothers dog's first litter in from UK. I have not seen another here in Thailand and Australia was the closest i could find, if I could find a pedigree bitch I would offer mine up for stud, he has an excellent line and is KC registered. If you find any on your searches please let me know and good luck, great wee dogs :-)
Regards
Ronnie
