I am planning a driving trip to Laos later this year. As they drive on the right hand side of the road I would like to get some deflectors to correct the beam on my vehicle. Has anyone seen these for sale anywhere ?

With the poor exchange rate at the moment I would like to use my sterling account with SCB to prove the funds required for my annual visa extension. Anybody else doing this and has it been acceptable to Immigration ?

Anyone know the name of this green or orange exchange kiosk? I have a few inked notes I would like to change. Same road as SK exchange?

Ok, Thank you all for your comments.

Thank you Tim, I take it you did not need to complete the extra Long Stay form then ? When applying for a non-o multi entry.

Looking for feedback on the requirements for a non-o retirement vise from the Thai Embassy in London from anyone that has recently applied. Did you need to give any financial information ? On the website they state that a copy of UK state pension should be supplied with the application, can anyone advise what document this is ( I am applying on behalf of my elderly mother who doesn't know ). Also they have a separate form on the website for long stayers which is not mentioned in the how to apply section, was this required when you applied ?
Many thanks for your feedback.

Will be looking forward to trying out Dukes. You can keep Starbucks though, so much good Thai coffee around.

Yang Pow Dtow Din is nice for Thai food and in your area. It is on the opposite side of the road to Promenada. Coming from Don Jan, Prom on your left hand side, do a u turn at the traffic lights and stick to the left of the road, take the first left you can, it is a small dirt track. Follow this to the end and turn left and you are there.

Did my extension a couple of weeks ago. 6.30am in the queue got me a ticket to be seen in the afternoon. Yes it is possible you won't be able to get a ticket for that day if you arrive later. If you are coming a way and want to ensure you get a ticket I would suggest 5.30 to 6.00am. Really depends on how many others are doing the marriage extension on the same day.

Thank you guys, I will get in touch with Kan.

Anyone else have some recommendations ?

They call that a "re-entry" and yes they do that for about 1900 baht, if I remember correctly. You do need to leave and re-enter before your marriage visa expires, however.I have a marriage visa which is good for a year. It is my understanding that if you wish to leave the country you need an exit visa so as not to lose your marriage visa when you return.
A single re-entry is 1,000 baht fee.
I think the cost of a re - entry visa is B1900 single entry or B3800 multi entry. See link to CM Immigration :

I am sure you can pay plenty in central London or Tokyo, but we are not living there are we?
For myself I find 200b a touch on the high side for Thailand but a reasonable hair cut nonetheless.

Yes at Lamphun several times. Sometimes have a 'discussion' over the need or not to update it on the day, but accepted eventually without updating the balance.
