In Europe they cost 1100 euro = 37.000 baht. included 21% vat.

I think the best place around Banchang for peace and quiet has to be Serene Phla, like a different world!! Food is excellent as well and not expensive.
Now closed. Went yesterday and it has closed down.

Try Chinese Frank on the same street as Visa 2 Go which is 2 streets before the bar strip. There's a cloth shop on the sukhumvit that's pretty good & take that to Frank.
Where on Sukumvit is the material shop please?

No live music when I was there. Only soft background music, that was a nice change.
It might be ok for your OLD sensitive Scottish ears.????
I went there again for dinner on Saturday, sorry to inform you that laud music is an understatement. I didn't get out of my car, the music (Karaoke) was so loud my car was vibrating.
Time to try another restaurant.????

Location: Drive on Sukkumvit towards Rayong, go past The Camillian Social Center, then 2nd Soi on left
There is a large Temple on the corner. Drive along that Soi for about 2klm the turning to the resort is on your right.
Drive in until you see the swimming pool then the Restaurant is the two story building straight ahead.
Four of us went to this resort for dinner the other night. The food was excellent, also good service.
Rib Eye steak is the best I have had in Thailand, the others enjoyed Salmon & Salad, Sweet & Sour Fish,
and stir fried squid with ginger.
IMO the cost of dinner was not expensive.

What is the idea behind live music in a restaurant that is so loud no-one can have a conversation while enjoying a meal?
Is it so that people can practice their lip-reading skills or what?
Does it cover up the mistakes made on the instrument playing?
Is it to make you eat quickly and leave?
Can you write a request to ask the group/singer to sing 'Far away' ie far enough away so you can only just hear them?
When they see you walk in they realize your old & deaf, so they turn the volume UP.
The other reason is Thai's like noise, laud noise.????

A Thai friend took me to The Phing Nga Resort, as it was at about 3PM we just had coffee. This is a very nice resort with Swimming pool and Gym. Its only about 5 months old and they are still building on. Everything in the Restaurant looks very clean with a good selection on the menu and also large selection of Cakes & Coffee.
Any members been to this resort for a meal can give it a thumbs up or down?

Transferwise works good for the wife and I....we both have Transferwise accounts. Based on six Transferwise tranfers from the US to Thailand they took approx 2 business days with the exception of the very 1st one which took 4 days. Somewhere on the Transferwise website it talks your first transfer may take a little longer....they didn't say why but I expect it due to verification of identity.
And total transfer time is affected by how you fund the transfer as Transferwise does not kick the money out the door until you get the money to them. Like in the US I expect most folks use the "ACH Debit" method to fund their Transferwise transfers. ACH stands for the Automated Clearing House which is the primarily interbank/intercompany transfer method used in the US. I expect around 1 day of the 2 day sending time is the time the money is in the ACH system flowing to Transferwise....once they get that money it takes Transferwise around 1 day to get it deposited in your Thai bank account. Your results may vary....a lot can depends on how fast and what method you use to fund the transfer.
Thank you again for the info.

Adding to the fact that he said he had nicked 99,500, but now it seems the number is actually only 4,773, a slight miscalculation it would seem.
He is using the same calculator as TAT.......????

Thank you for this information PIB.
I have been looking for a way to move funds out of Thailand and this seems to be the answer.
I have been using BahtSmart for 4 years to transfer funds from Australia to Thailand and very slow. I sent money on Monday AM now its Friday and still no funds have arrived into my Thai Bank Account, so I might try Tansferwise for sending to Thailand.
Thanks again for the Information PIB.

Some members on this topic are talking absolute rubbish they don't have a clue about vaping.
A lot of the negative research about vaping has been put out by the Tobacco company's and the drug company's. Now some tobacco company's are making vaping equipment & liquid.
Here is a video by a Cardiac Surgeon in Canada that is so convinced by the benefits of vaping he has opened his own vape supply shop. If you wish to open your mind and learn about vaping I urge you to watch this video.
