  1. I always advise getting it early but if you allow an extra half hour and have the photos it should not be a problem at airport (done after checking in for flight only). But I prefer to have it done early as have enough trouble finding my tickets/passport/departure card on flight days.

Are re-entry visas available at border crossings?

I plan to be travelling into Malaysia out of Satun. Can I apply for re-entry at the same time that I check-out?

  2. I agree with the 2 for 1 card, good value for money!! as long as you don't live 30 minutes away :o:D

Are they still selling 2 for 1 cards? The last time that I asked, about 2 months ago, they told me that it was discontinued. If it's back, I'll go get one.

  3. <1> everyone makes their own choices in life and only they can do anything about it!!

<2> If they want to wallow in self-pity and blame everything and everyone else RATHER than themself then deserve everything that they get :o:D

IMO, these are 2 different attributes... the same people who "wallow in self-pity and blame everything and everyone else" because of their 'poor' choices would - if they had made 'good' choices - debase, demean and degrade those that have made 'poor' choices.

... on the other hand, there are those who have matured into adulthood :D

  4. Now that snowflake has admitted to being a katoey, we should all respect his choice of lifestyle :o

All of those who have considered him a friend should comply with his plea and remain his friend, lest he feel so -o-o-o lonely :D

Snowflake, all we ask is that you restrain your promiscuity and not accost those of us who are homophobic.

  5. Took me a while to work it out :o:D well my average hourly rate (contact hours) is 413.80 baht :D:D

Do your "contact hours" include 'Club' and Home-room? What about teachers meetings and mandatory time on-campus?

A better guage of comparative income would be your total monthly income - then qualify it with what you do to get it. Come on, be honest and forthcoming :D

A "good hamburger" (sic) is a strange object, associated with love bullets and sweet criminals !

And what you call a "culinary need" is just a crave for junk food, you are wrong to associate all "falangs" with it !

Your understanding of the English language seems to be lacking. Logarhythm did not associate all ''Falangs" with a craving for hamburgers. Unfortunately, you seem to have little idea of what good food is. Like all food, hamburgers can be of high quality and low (junk).

There are a lot of people, classified as "falang" too, that have more decent tastes regarding food.

This is a rather puerile statement.

US people tend to beleive they are the navel of the world, in fact, rgarding food, they just are its rectum !

Whilst not being of North American stock, I find this a most insulting statement. You obviously have no knowledge or experience of food in America. Having lived there for three years, I can assure you that they have food of very high quality. as good as anywhere.

If you feel the need to be insulting I suggest you take your rants to one of the other forums where it is more acceptable.

    Yours truly

    Sean

    My dear truly,

I obvously do not master the english language, I satisfy myself with a bad knowledge of 5 languages.

I found insulting to the thaï cuisine, that is one of the most reputed in the world for its great variety and its healthyness, the somebody could came here to eat "good hamburgers".

I understand although that this is a free country, that the suicidal tendancies are not prosecuted, and I would recommend elephant-shit as a supplement with the "culinary" treat.

But there is a wrong side to this that you sure heard about !

The rate of obese children in this country is rising as fast as the number of junk-food-selling outlets !

The curves are absolutely parallel, and the biggest culprits are the "culinary" beverages that contain huge quantities of sugar.

So, the fate of the children of thaïland make me a little mad and I am sure it is the right place to express my ire, but I do understand that you are not.

I know that a lot of "falangs" are here just to make some money out of the people, whatever the consequences.

This is kind of funny. But your satire seems to be constructed TOO perfectly. Your non-grammar is TOO non-grammatically consistent. Your appearance of a lack of intelligence is TOO unintelligent.

Mix it up a little; and your humor would be a little more laughable.

  7. ... just another comment by a Thai "politician" (quotes intended) that we might smile, smirk, and wink about. There are few things here that can be taken seriously (court jesters abound) - except that that the "politicians" will continue to be the Rich who get richer; and the sheep will keep smiling (LOS) and 'baaah, baaah' (translation: Mai Pen Rai) with their inimitable sense of humour.

Keep your distance and your <sensible> sense of humour.

  8. 2 more falang in Thung Song, and interested in potentiala meet-ups.

Hey Ron - I think I've heard of you, but we haven't met. Do you know Danny? Are you a teacher in Nakhon and your son attends Ratana Suksa school?

Yes, I know Danny; and my son used to go to Ratana. We have since (the beginning of this school year) transferred my son into the EP (P.2) at Sae Man Meung School in Nakhon (across the road from Kanlayanee).

Are you newly part of the Ratana bunch, or with Satri? I guess I'll have to pop over to SamJay to meet the new crop of visitors :o

  9. Well Sean, at least I get out of my MooBaan once a week, what about you?

I generally go out and meet several foreigners once a week but the great gatherings are not for me... To many white faces here just wanting to get really drunk and wasted. Then think it is ok to drive home on a motorbike...

I know I used to drink and drive and I still do now but I have to say that I have never been wasted when I have driven home... (on a motorbike)...

Besides, I just dont like white people... Always so much gossip and backstabbing going on....

We men gossip more here in Thailand than the girls does... What does that tell you???????

Ps... The food is well worth the wait at Pam's Tavern AKA Sean's place...

They're not bad. Why, some of my best friends are...

    :o

Too many white people in Nakhon now!! Little snowflake i agree..........

Not commenting on it being good or bad but I remember when Snowflake and I started (on the same day) in Nakhon six years ago. There were very few white folk around in Nakhon. One used to stop and enquire where they were from etc.. Used to be treated very differently by the locals as well. I think there was a lot more respect from the ''Nakonites''.

OK, Sean. Enuff talk about white folk.

  11. So is there anyone in Tung song or Ron who wants to be a little bit sociable?

I know for sure I 'll be going to Seans place

PLease read this with humour in mind!

    Hey!

I live in Tung song; my name is Ron; and I rent a house down the block from Seans place.

    Small world! :o

  12. How much do you care about the things that happen around you?

How much do you care when you see the motorbike wrapped around something?

How much do you care when the police is stopping someone to get some "tea-money"?

How much do you care when the city is flooded and your house is out of the disaster area?

How much do you care when you see the poor people wandering around to find some food?

How much do you care when you hear about some crazy thai kid shooting up some local food stall?

How much do you care about the dollar getting weaker?

    or should I ask,

    Do you care?

Call me a bastard, mean person, insensitive,,,

After being down here in NST for almost 6 years now, I really do not care... I dont feel anything... Is that normal? Does anyone feel the same? And if you dont, why do you not do anything about it?

    :o

I just did a Physics lesson for M3 kids (I'd rather be teaching Math!)... if you apply a large Force to an object, and the object doesn't move, no Work is done. Nothing has been accomplished!

It's starting to make sense ;(
