Tai mean kidney, but Tai Pla is not real word for its, this word just people from BKK call this curry for local name is Pung Pla( Pung mean belly) becouse they use fish belly mix with salt and keep in a box or jar for over a month.

I will recommend Tai Pla steam, ( not lot of people know this curry )

I'm looking to eat some healthy Thai food. Right now my diet consists mostly of Pizza and Subway. The Thai food I like the most is Pad Thai and I eat alot of Khao pot Kai, Khao pot Gai, etc. However, these are fried foods. Can someone recommend me some Thai dishes that are healthier? I guess the new diet is High protein, low card so any thai foods that fit that mold?
