Dear Couthy,
If you enter Lumpini from the Silom corner ( a statue of Rama VI ) and take the first road to the right, follow this just a short bit you will find a swimming pool on your right side after what I think is a building with a tennis court inside. Please correct me if I am wrong. Hope you and Ms C both can enjoy this.

Im afraid that you cannot go ahead an sort it out from afar.
These clubs are not tech savvy. Indeed im not even sure if they have a mailing address. The swimming pool at Benjasiri park for example where i go (same setup-government run etc etc) doesnt have a mailing address, and there isnt a computer in sight.
The good news is however that it only takes a day to become a member. If you have the medical cert. and your passport photos and pay the 40thb they will let you swim the same day while waiting for your membership card.
Thank you Moonfruit,
for your clarifying answer. It is indeed good news that I can swim the same day so I dont have to waste precious time waiting to become a member. I will absolutely have all papers ready when I arrive the next time ( which I hope will be soon..)

Dear FRM-UK,
Thank you for your kind reply.
Yes, I noticed the rules for membership that was posted on the wall ( I think) last time I was there, and for farangs (me) a health declaration was also needed. I noticed that.
I am currently not residing in Thailand, but in Sweden, and I therefore thought that I should try to fix this matter over the internet and by email if possible at all.
In this way, my membership would already be in order the next time I arrive to Bangkok, so I could just take my gear and stroll down to Lumpini , the wonderful oasis in the heart of Bangkok of wich I will never have enough, take a refreshing, relaxing swim and enjoy life just existing, slowly....
Sorry for daydreaming there a bit, I am currently far away and longing back as you maybe understand.
So, as you see I would be happy if I could have the email address or a ordinary address to the office that is handling the membership, so I can write to them and apply for membership by mail.
Can you please help me?
regards Uffe

I have noticed that there is a nice swimming pool in Lumpini Park. However it is open to members only and I have not had the opportunity to becoma a member during my short but memorable visits to Lumpini yet.
Now, I would very much like to become a member but I do not not have the name or address to this swimming club, can anyone please help me find the contact information for this club?
I love Lumpini!
regards Uffe
