I know there are folks that prefer Thai exchanges for whatever reason, but if it's simply that you have Baht that you want to convert to crypto (probably easiest to BTC first), an easy path is:
1. P2P (localbitcoins, paxful, binance p2p, etc.).... bank transfer to whatever seller, then you have BTC either in your P2P wallet or better yet, non-exchange non custodial Electrum, Coinomi, etc. wallet.
2. Transfer said BTC to Binance (largest exchange in the world, super liquid; the account setup takes about 10 minutes; you can do it on your phone by installing their app). Trade or hodl to your heart's content.
Done. Do the reverse for when you want to cash out.
Main reason for some is to convert crypto to THB. At Localbitcoins and Paxful you get a very bad rate and low limits, Binance P2P can't convert to THB as far as I now.
Anybody tried Upbit?

Hello, does it matter which area you go to the Land Office (within BKK) to renew your Road Tax? Or it has to be the one that covers your address in the Blue/Green Book?

Thank you guys for the feedback. My friend does have copies of every documents, including backup copies at her lawyer's office in Bangkok. Her doubt is, if she enter Thailand again with a 30 days visa exemption, would she be able to recover her previous extension of stay at the Immigration Department, or she needs to obtain a proper visa prior to entering the Kingdom?
-
A visa is lost and cannot be replaced.
If your friend had an extension of stay there is a possibility of immigration restoring that.
She needs to obtain a new passport or emergency travel document from her Embassy. She will most likely need a Police report detaling the loss.
Thank you expatbrit. Yes, sorry, she had an extension of stay, not visa. She had already reported to the police and will wait for the new passport to be issued. The question is what steps she needs to follow before or when entering Thailand in order to maintain her status.

Hello, couldn't find info about in the forum. Maybe someone could point in the right direction. My friend was robbed while traveling outside Thailand, she lost passport with visa and work permit. What does she need to do in order recover her visa? Thanx

Hi, does any body knows about a descent, not too fancy/expensive apartment or condo in the Sathorn area? Something around 10000 B will be ok. I appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Thanx for the feedback guys. I already Goggled it, and only found a couple of Japanese franchises which are quite expensive for this kind of stuff and Sunbelt doesn't bother with the small fish.
WhizBang - I don't eat this neither, but Thais and Asian people in general seem to love it.
marcusd - I'm not in Bangkok at the moment, but will contact them when I come back for sure. I don't know anything about crepes and don't know anyone who knows, so, for me, the logical move it's to pay someone for the know-how.

Kida disagree, the logical move would be to not go into a business you know nothing about, surely........
Well, you may have a point here, but myself I have invested in other businesses, one of them food related, with success, and I don't need to know how to make a good coffee (which I don't drink), I just hired a person who does.

If you have a multiple entry visa and overstay the fine amounts to 500 bht /day
No, the question is not about the visa, I have till next year Non Imm and Multiple-Reentry Permit valid till next year also. What I want to know is if I need to report the 90 days if I'm leaving for 2 weeks on the day, lets say... 93
-
Searched the forums but couldn't find an answer. Maybe someone can clarify to me this: If I'm leaving Thailand on the day 91 or the 97 of my stay in the Kingdom (with multiple reentry), should I go to Immigration to report before or it's OK? What happen in this case? Thanx in advance for any info

There are a few places over where I live, Lat Phrao 101, depending on what you are displaying. You anywhere near there?
Thankx for the quick reply. Not really near LatPhrao, but I can go there, no problem. Will be displaying mostly jewelry and fashion items.

Buy a scooter, that's the best option for Bangkok

Thank you for the feedback. I've been already to the customs website, but is not very clear. Some Thai guy told me that the duty at the moment is of 20% plus 7% VAT. I'll keep searching

Not really a "Russian restaurant" but has a few Russian dishes, borsh, pelmeni, salat olivie, mors, herrings...The Red Pinn, in Bangrak - http://www.redpinn.com/ . From the website "International selection of soups, stews, steaks, fry-ups and other main courses as well as Tapas - from the original Spanish Tapas to small dishes from different parts of the world with a glimpse of North European touch - Marinated Herring, Cured and Smoked Salmon, Meatballs..." The food in general is good and the owner speaks Russian

Hi everybody. I just received the Department of Foreign Trade Card but it's not very clear for me how to use it. It's just like an "ID" of the company or has a practical use? Couldn't find any info on Internet. Thanx in advance for any feedback.

One option to earn some money are the movie extra and actor jobs. Here you can find a list of a few modelling agencies, you can visit or contact them to get your details and pictures taken (normally is free). Once you get to the first movie or commercial you meet a lot of people and agents. This helped me a lot at the beginning. Just be friendly and search for contacts. Per instance, this agency has a page on Facebook with frequent jobs. Good luck

Here you can find some data about the companies registered in Thailand => http://www.dbd.go.th/corpsearch_test/main.phtml Use better the option "Begin with" and be sure to input the correct name.

Try PIS building, Mahesak Rd, between Soi Pramot 3 and Silom, and the surrounding area up to Charoeng Krung Rd. There are many stone wholesalers, not sure about the minimum quantities or which of the shops also do retail, but that's the area for stones in Bangkok.

What about re-entry permits? Do we have to go INTO the flood zone just to get a piece of paper that allows us to EVACUATE?
You can get your re-entry permit at the airport, in case you are flying.
They haven't issued re-entries at the airport since last year. Am i mistaken? That service was closed at the airport long ago.
From the Thai Immigration Bureau
You could apply a re-entry permit at every checkpoint. However at Suvarnabhumi Airport Checkpoint would provide this service if necessary depend on officers approval.
— For a re-entry permit,if you are in Bangkok area and you have an Internet access, you could fill in a TM. 8 form and send it to [email protected]
— You should e-mail the completed form 1 day in advance.
— You have to submit a 2" photo and pay a permit fee at counter 7, the Immigration Bureau (soi suanplu office.)
— Fee for re-entry permit:
1,000 Bahts for single
3,800 Bahts for multiple
Can't tell how accurate is this for today, but a couple of months ago the desk and the sign for the re-entry permit were still there at the airport, and I saw some farangs filling forms, so I suposed was still working.
