My wife have tried to grow up mushrooms about one year now. At the first she grow up them in the backside of shop house and In the end of last year she built up 2 same kind of mushroom houses. One house can filled with 2000 mushroom bag.

We have not been good luck with mushrooms. It looks like non profit farming. I have tried to think what we would do wrong.

We have sprinklers but she dont use them because sprinklers will spray water too much and it would cause that bag start to turn green colour ( mould ). The best was water hose and pistol which spray only mist. Also she sprayed water to the floor. I think she watering everythin like perfect. I would like to hear your opinion about water .... is normal citywater good for mushrooms ? Did she made mistake using citywater ?

Other thing I started to wondering was those mushroom bags. Maybe those had made something cheap way to got max profit. We paid 8 bath/bag. Those bags started to turn white wery well but cannot push out enought mushrooms to cover the price of bags in 4 months. Is it possible that growing mushrooms would need something fertilizer. It would look like that bags not include everything what it should include.

I would like to do that but it looks so hopeless. Have you any advice what could do ? We havent lost money but it need quite much work and it would be nice to got salary too !

I think that chinese people own a lot of land in Thailand .... not farangs !

A while I saw one dokument film from Africa ... some african countries lease farming land to indian people and the price was very low. I think it is really good that they are worrying land issue in Thailand. But what they can do ..... money talks and thais will listen money.

Hi ! I hope that you havent forget your business idea because you havent got customer via your internet page. I think your internet page is quite primitive and it not bring so much advantage for you or your potential customer. I have made some business 1,5 year now and even I created nice web store with online ordering I couldnt got customer via internet page. I have got only big amount visitor. Is not easy to start business via internet. This time I dont even wait customer anymore but still I have web online store because it help me to control stock. It is cheap to mainain because I software is free ( ZenCart ). I can give some advice what I have learnt.

1. Try to find many different products and quite small amounts what you sell. In the beginning you dont know what you can sell. In bad luck you have big stock products what you cant sell. Time will tell you can you sell or not .... try many products.

2. Sell such product what you know and you should be exprerience about quolity of products.

3. Sell products to your home country. It is your area ... you know it !

4. The best idea is marketing your products in online auctions, online marketplaces. There are already potential customer !

5. Research what other shops and people sell !

6. Calculate that could you sell cheaper than them ( dont forget that shipping is quite pricy and sometimes small and quite cheap products could bring good profit )

7. Cheap products is easy to sell.... people dont scared to order .... later you can sell expensiver products for them.

8. Dont try to become rich with one customer ! Online business needs huge amount orders if want to earn living .... but some extra money you will got anyway !

My wife have sent some parcel and letter via registered airmail to me and newer have been broblem with tracking ! She sent to the Finland and tracking started when parcel have registered in Finland (Finnish Post ). Tracking number newer tell anything on Thailand Post internet site.

Now my wife should sent parcel to UK ! How tracking works in UK ? I have read earlier message and I am mixed ! In the US tracking works with USPS but Royal Mail in the UK cannot track parcels. Some earlier post told that have to check from Parcel force ! Where I should check it if I got number like RD123456789TH !

Have there also difference if I got printed bill which show tracking number or if I got hand writed bill ? In the Bangkok I get printed bill but in Buriram I always got handwrited bill !

I live in Finland and finnish people use a lot of coffee every year ! I think finnish are heavy user with coffee in global scale too !

I have use many years my coffee maker which brand is Moccamaster ! I dont know do they sell in Thailand but it is possible to order online somewhere ! Price is about 100 euros maybe some modells a little bit under too ! At least finnish style plug fitted in Thailand !

Also we have quite good coffee in Finland ! Quite good price also .... around 2-3 euros/ half kilos !

I have been situation to see that Amway bussines in Finland and some people tried very hard to turn me to the Amway cult ! Last time they tried to offer some idea that I would start find customer in Thailand

My wife told me that Amway is not so new in Thailand and I have seen one quite big storage building in Bangkok too !

Products are too expensive ..... desperate !

In the beginning of his year I started to design e- commerce bussiness for my wife who live in Thailand (I dont live in LOS) and now we have reach such point our project that we need some good advive to avoiding bigger surprises. Actually I thought that it would be easy to create some e- commerce bussiness but I was wrong ! It need a lot of time to clear many technical issues before shop is ready for customers. After vinning technical problems comes maybe the biggest problem .... to got the first buying customer !

THESE THINGS SEEMS TO BE 95 % DONE

1. Tested many shopping cart softwares and finally found suitable version

2. Tried to modify shopping cart (style, payment system, shipping etc)

3. Reserved good domain name ( I hope so

4. Designed bussiness logo (not me)

5. Desided where I buy stable hosting service (not in Thailand)

I NEED HELP WITH THESE ISSUES

1.) I think I use PayPal and Moneybooker buttons to arrange payments to my wifes thai bank account. Also google checkout would be nice ? Just wondering banking broblem in Thailand ... which bank would offer best solutions .... what kind of creditcard work with PP and moneybooker accounts without broblem ?

2.) If my wife open Paypal account in Thailand and normally use it in Thailand.... does she got some problem if I have to sometimes log in her PayPal account in my home (other country) ? I scare that she would need help sometimes and can I help her without problem !

3.) Am I right that my wife have to registered bussiness ? I have heard that also e- commerce needs some extra registration and if we do that we could be "trusted shop" ! Have anybody idea how much those registrations are ?

4.) I also think that my wife should pay some taxes and vats ! Have anybody experience about this issue ? Can my wife reduce rents, computers etc expenses in taxations ?

5.) What about book keeping ? Does she have to proof incomes that way ?

6.) What else I should know before I try to hit my head ?

I cant say that I wouldnt worry about my euros but I am not shaking yet. I understand that everything is more expensive than a couple of months ago. but mostly I worry about thais who have quite big bank loan and everybody understand what happend if they will left without stable job. I think that they need every money to pay their houses, cars, mototbikes etc.... too many people have spent too much money too short time ......... they diddnt worried future when they take bank loan ! That happend everywhere ... Thailand, Europe, USA ... among those people will start bad times. Property prices will sink down and then it will be hard to got back money. Even you would give up everything still you have to pay bank loan long time ! This kind of bad scenario could happend for everyone !

But something good could happend also ..... predators time is coming soon ... I mean that soon is time when is possible to buy properties from people who have money problems. It is sad that somebody lost money but it just happend that way. Somebody are winner and somebody are loser. Money newer lost it just change owner. Once I heard quite good metaphora " if every money in the world would divide for every people that way that everyone would got same amount .... what happend .... peoples are equal ? yes but not long time ! Soon somebody have lost his money and somebody have collected more money what he got !

I think it would be middle class which would lost mostly money in Thailand. They just leart to live sweet life ! Rice farmers will live same way than years before .... they have not so much money but they have food and home .... basicly quite security life.

What we.. farangs ... could do ? If we have money which search home why not invest in Thailand .... buy land ... house cheaper than before. Easy to find people work ! We dont have to care if currency change a little bit. Later everything is possible to sell again but more expensive. If we could offer work for people it would be important for people near our houses. Then every people will win something. Actually I want support my neighbours to offer job for them and buying some food straight from producers and I dont care if I pay couple baths more. One thing what I scared mostly is that we start to separate too much.... we would live inside big fences... live like in the golden prison ! It is not worth of life anymore then have to think about how to move bones away with good weather !

Bussines in Thailand is big dream which everybody wants but I think it could be good idea to left just be a dream ! Maybe Thai people can earn living with that way but farang can drink and eat the profits easily. Farangs use much more money than thai people. Bussiness needs money also in the Thailand but the profits are not so high. Many farangs also pay too much for their bussines ... it takes long time to get money back with bussines. No reason to put money to the bussines which need money from outside all the time.

One good point ! if want to give work for lady then it could be good idea ... then lady can work and earn "own" money ... maybe it could be frustrating but it is still own money and it also give security for lady if farang is in the abroad. Dont have to be depend on farang if something bad happend. Maybe one big investment also help in the long run ! Dont have to give so much money every month

But if farang want to live with bussines then it have to be very good bussines...everybody can calculate how much spend money in the thailand !!!

I think restaurang where farangs drink and eat is good bussines ... everything where farangs bring money ... they use money different way\amount than thai people.

Hi ! Last December I visited in buriram town and I stayed one hotel which was quite cheap and I would like to visit again in the same place but I lost the address of the hotel ! I dont know the name of the hotel but I have some information about that street. Maybe somebody who know the Buriram town can help me ?

It was small street and there was for example laundry, alcohol shop, hairdresser in the same street. I also visited in the festival , the festival gate was almost opposite of the entrance of the hotel. And I think that street begin from the main street. There was foto shop and somekind of mall in that Junction. There was also KFC in that mall.

And one more extra: restaurang which name was happy time or good time wasnt far away.. only hmmm... 10 minuts by feet !

If somebody can help me I would be very crateful for your information. Also I would be interinting about street maps of the Buriram !
