  1. I have contacted several hospitals about possibly having a Vasovasostomy- Micro Surgical Vasectomy Reversal. The prices vary wildly. I am interested in knowing if you have any experience with any Urologists or recommendations.

Two of the reasonably priced quotes that I have received are Bangkok Christian Hospital and Vejthani.

Also does anyone have any comments specifically on Bangkok Christian Hospital or about a urologist there by the name of Dr. Jurin?

Can you recommend a Urologist at Vejthani Hospital?

    Thanks

Mike, I read your topic many times and see many ppl try to recommend some doctor for you. I know Bumrungrad's price is very high but Dr.virot is very good doctor. however, i had asked my friend who work for hospital administration, try to find out information of Vejthani for you.

  2. I will find a day of this week to see this exhibition because it will be ended on 24 May. I saw news last night, it's very nice orchid and I want to know it's as beautiful as Royalthaiforal in CM last year. :o

  3. as has been mentioned... the white string is used in some ceremonies, such as house warming/blessing, to link everyone to the chanting monks/buddha statue etc. to help evryone involved share in the merits... this actual linking is of course just hogwash.... the merit you get will depend on your state of mind and how much you actually take part, rather than just being physically bound...

the water pouring is called 'kruat nam' and is a way of sharing the merits you have just accrued from your chanting/meditation/giving etc..... sharing with those past on....

this doesn't mean that by sharing your merits that you are using up some of them, or giving them all away... by sharing them you actually increase them

dedicating merits from chanting/giving food to the monks or robes etc. will only reach those who are born in the hungry ghost realm... not hel_l

if born as human/animal/deva then the merits will not reach them... merits from vipassana meditation are the strongest and are able to help those in hel_l...

there are ten different ways of making merit...(but most Thais only know of the first one which involved spending money)...

    1. donating... giving food/requisites to monks, building temples etc.

    2. chanting/meditating

    3. listening to dhamma

    4. teaching dhamma

    5. paying respect to those worthy of respect...teachers/parents/monks etc.

    6. sharing/dedicating merits

    7. anumodana... rejoicing/praising others when you see them making merit

    8. keeping the precepts

    9. physical help... such as cleaning/cooking/washing up at a funeral/other peoples merit making cermonies/at temples etc.

    10. Having correct view.... the most important... faith in Buddha/dhamma/sangha... faith that karma is real (good results in good/bad results in bad)

donating is not bad, at least those money can help some people to do something. Vipassana meditation depend on who have good karma and try to reach the basic of buddha teaching. :o

  4. Please don't exercise too hard in the evening time coz it would make you get sleeping disorder at night. I read from the healthy book, should exercise in the morning. honey drill should be some help. 2 tea spoon with warm water before going to bed. pls try.

i don't recommend you to have any kind of pill to get sleep but if you do really have sleeping disorder, I can tell you what kind of pill can release coz my mom have it now.

  5. I agree with haroldc's suggestion about Mahidol Hospital have good doctor and good treatment and not high cost as bumrungrad hospital where I work for (I'm not a doctor or nurse). But if you come to see doctor here, I think they can consult you to have a good solution for ur case. sometimes when we have a financial problem with high cost surgery, doctor can tranfer our case to other public hospital that they work for too. I hope you can find a good doctor.

haroldc, you're so kind and good advise for Mike45.

  6. I think that the great thing about Buddhism is that it can take any criticism thrown at it.

If every Buddhist died tommorow it would not be the end of the Dhamma. Somebody else would come along and discover the same truth. The Dhamma does not depend on books, monks, religion, your tube or even the Buddha to be truth. It just is.

I agree with your comment. Dhamma is the truth. It would not be the end. :o

  7. I feel sorry for that guy who got cheat but it doesn't matter how much you mad and how many things you destroy, only one thing in your heart is painful coz the feeling down and unhappy at the moment. Time will help him to be normal as the nature give us.

People hurt people coz hunger never enough!

  8. in my home country you could donate used clothes to the red cross or charity easily. there were collections for that almost fortnightly. just pack it in the provided plastic bag that arrives in the mailbox at ur home sometimes, and they will collect it.

is it possible to donate clothes (used, but no rubbish !) in Thailand as well ? who would want it and who would collect it or where to bring ?

and would anybody have use for Farang size - clothes ?

I have quite some items I would like to get rid of, used but in good condition....

you're so kind. I think you can donate to any foundation in bangkok. I donate my stuffs that is in good condition and something never use before to Sarathai Foundation, phone is 0-2381-8834-6.

    thank you for ur kindness.

  9. I notice that the 30+( which I'm part of) don't fill out a word about themselves. Are you so afraid you neigbor wil think, crikities, it's my neigbor! Please fill at least your sex your age and where you're from and whatever else you feel like. NO one will know who you are unless you tell them. It's so irretating reading a good post and checking the guys profile, you discover there is none. I wonder WHY? :o:D:D:D :ph34r:it's like never knowing anything about the Beatles or somthing like that.

I agree with your comment...Cheer up!!

  10. Pepe; I think thais is not different from other nation if we said about human nature. if you want to know why we have many beautiful temples and monks but we learn only few thing from our religion. pls read http://www.suanmokkh.org/

Maybe his present and thought can make you know why people in this world is not different in human desire.

i would like to advise a book of Arjarn Cha is NO Arjarn Cha, it's a dhamma book and good for reading.

hope you can understand more our thais. :o
