  1. Being raped, having my head sacked and hacked I personally give a shit on a wristband, I have a Glock and a sharp knive and I am very proficent in use due to my job and willing to use, I think these idiots sometimes even do not know what they are talking about and they could only be happy that not all of this shit make its way to the EU. Definitely a BANANA Republic like 25 years before when coming the first time....clap2.gif.pagespeed.ce.z5euFoXm0J.gifcheesy.gif.pagespeed.ce.HaOxm9--Zv.gifburp.gif.pagespeed.ce.RBpw6FUyRR.gif

  2. No learning curve here and by the way is not everything better than before?! No corruption now, only over 60 Mio. trustworthy and honest people led by the most intelligent and intellectual man the country has ever seen. I always thought military men were to defend?! As long I see new Toyatos in front of new homes and daily cigarette and liquor consum is still high it can't that much bad! The people still do not see the wolf in the herd of the sheeps! :-)

  3.

The blame the western world for indoctrination, on the same the junta takes every chance and advabtage to spoil more money in to the hands of the already rich, no one realize what really is behind this coup, everybody still believes that it is the pathway to democracy, dream on!

    Nonsense, get educated.

Feel free to come by and get the education right at hand bro!

  4. Welcome to the first step to real democracy, what a bad joke! In any so called democracy it is usually ruled that no one neither the state or an individual has the right to take once life. When one looses his his life it is already bad enough but no one will be alive again taking another one's for venegance by the law of death penalty. It is proven that penalties like this or especially harsh punishment for other crimes like for instance three times conviction for the same offense will have the opposite effects and often leads to killings to not get cought, see for instance state of California/US, when you get convicted for car theft for three times for example, you will get lifetime so the criminals do not hesitate to kill witnesses and if you get death penalties for rape as bad it is it will be a promotion to kill the victims too, the above is pure populism by someone running out of attraction, the arrogancy speaks by itself that this is the will of the most people! Taking one's  life by a final shot by special forces for instance in a rescue situation of a hostage is a complete different kind of matter and fully supported by me as it saves the life of the current hostage or victim. And how many innocent people have been executed due to misjudging!!!

  5. This is much more serious then people realise. It is absolutely not just 2.4% as some people think.

The reality is that GSP (General system of preference) being taken away from Thailand is an indication that it is no longer considered a "poorer" country. The EU have made the first initial decision but the US is and will be following and so will India (India has already announced some "significant" changes will be made)

For the Asean region that is different because it will be free trade. The other thing to consider is the 0% duty into China for many products, it is possible that this could follow as well. What generally happens is once the import privileges start to fall they all fall.

The real problem I see is that I am not sure that Thailand is able to compete without GSP. I work for a Thai manufacturer and although there have been huge improvements over the last few years they are still behind the Chinese factories in terms of expertise and cost management.

When China lost its privileges it was already dominant in manufacturing at low cost for global exports. Thailand is not in that place.

The nett result of this will be that companies will move, simple as that. It won't just be Thai manufacturers that move either, foreign companies will start to weigh up the odds on why they should continue in Thailand when its cheaper next door, and they have better language skill..

    in summary

    difficult visa requirements

    difficult to invest

    No duty benefits anymore

higher salaries then neighbouring Asean countries (also with GSP)

    Political instability

    Tourism visa clamp down

    loss of English teachers coming

All looking very challenging, it's going to get very difficult for the Thai economy next year.

Very well said and a realistic assessment! Tanks!

  6. I agree with this article. Not about the regret part, because if SEA ceased to exist

it would make little difference to America or Europe. From an outside perspective,

a coup looks bad. Probably conjuring up images of some tin pot dictator taking

over a country and immediately ordering a private jet. But that is far from what

has happened here. Through vote buying, it was fairly easy to simply take control

of Thailand and start looting it .Prayuth has brought that to a halt. So what he has

now is a communication issue. He needs to fully expose the cancer of Thaksin

to the public eye, prosecute those involved ,and show the western world the

enemy he is fighting. Then and only then will the western world understand what

    is going on here.

My friend, you are deeply naive if you truly believe that Thaksin is the issue here. The entirety of Thai politics is built openly on a patronage system that feeds on and creates corruption.

You really think this corruption issue is new or even made much worse by Thaksin?

People in Thailand will largely vote for their 'teams' whoever they are beholden to. It has little to do with creating a platform and resolving issues in the country. When have you heard of any well defined core of ideas from either side of the political divide? Never.

Thailand was never ready for Democracy. They are a fully and plainly feudal society. The democracy was a surface coat of paint on their feudal system. That coat of paint has since cracked and we get to see how the system really works here.

I can't comment negatively on the military coups (by law), so I will not, but you need only to look at some of the other 18 coups to see many similarities to this coup.

Could not have said it better, thumbsup.gif !

  7. ..... I got several bahts in exchange 2 years ago, in the value of 100....,.€ up now my piece suffers a loss of 6 to seven Baht if I would exchange again, is this making my life cheaper, as all the prices raised too from gasoline to food, the inflation makes it even worse! wai2.gifwai2.gifwai2.gif

  8. ""
In Phitsanulok Province, a heavy rainstorm and gusty winds have destroyed roofs of several homes in a local village. Damages were estimated to be at around 50,000 baht. Local authorities are set to deliver remedial measures to help residents affected by the storm.""

Local authorities, puu...and so , yes that is where the corruption starts at the bottom and painfully harm the poor!

  9. Do you really wonder why the rice scheme was so demonized by Yinglucks opposition. Mostly it was how much money the "rice wholesalers" were to lose.

Back in the 90's I checked the jasmin rice wholesale selling price in america and then I asked my ex-wife how much her family sold the rice for that they produced. After proposing I was willing to buy all the rice that their village could produce at a higher price they were selling it for, the answer I got was "it would never make it out of Issian". All rice trucks are stopped and checked at various check points. Seemed getting a rice export permit would have made no difference. The profit I could have made would have been tremendous.

I later got the "talk" that a small group in bangkok control all the rice and set the price. Some years the price was set so low they did not want to sell as it was far to low. They could see how much a Kilo of rice was selling for in stores and how low they were paid for the same rice was often devastating to them.

Yes they have farm cooperatives but they often don't agree or trust them. Until Yinglucks scheme to "cut the wholesaler out" there was no other alternative, it seems many TV's posters want the "old ways" and "old guard" in control.

Glad to see some still see the wall behind the curtain. One could take any government of Thailand, none was not of failures and the next will not be better, it is only which is the best under this circumstances. Democracy is what? People dream of something that there not exist here to that definition. They will see that next is maybe their worst nightmare. It is a fight here of patriarchy to keep their assets. Thanks for the clearing words!
