55 Working Days - Biometrics taken 25th November received email 14th Feb.
How long after you received the decision made email, did you have to wait to collect passport ?

Hi,
My wife will be summiting her biometrics on Friday 10 Feb for her settlement visa at VFS Trendy House Bangkok
and i was wondering how many days validity she will get stamped on the vignette .
Will it be 30 days ?
I had heard since Covid that the validity to enter UK had changed to 90 days.
Has anyone got any up to date figures
Thanks

So what are they looking for number wise ?

Sorry forgot to mention applying at Korat ????

Quick question regarding applying for a 90 day non-o visa with a visa exempt entry, on basis of marriage.
I realise 400,000B needs to be in account only on day of application, what about house photos and police visit ?
I'm only talking about change of visa type not extension.

Has anyone got a residence certificate from Immigration using Father in law blue book
and taking both wife and father to guarantee ?
-
Yes,
KhunBENQ,
We must be in same area,
I'm just past Non Daeng off Highway 2 , 60 km south Phon.
Thinking i'll try police again. No luck with police ,i'll have to go Korat Immigration,
which is about 90km
Last time used both police and DLT in Phon because home in Phon.
This time choice of Phimai or Bua Yai DLT ,both about 30km.

Hi,
My 5yr license is due to expire Mar 2021, due to the current situation I won't be back in Thai until Xmas 2020.
Last time I applied I showed passport with single entry Non O , marriage certificate and a letter from local police
station confirming address and no medical certificate.
This letter was obtained using my wife to guarantee me using her tambian baan.
I can't for the life of me remember where i obtained the template for the police.
Can anybody help ?
I have also changed passports so will take along old passport which matches number on old license.
We have changed address so i will have to pay extra for change ?
Which would be easier police station or local Immigration office using wife as guarantor ?
Thanks

Was it a single or multiple entry non 'O' you applied for ?
I applied in early July by post for a single entry non 'O' and only had to show 2 passports ( mine English & wife's Thai ) and a copy of marriage certificate,
no bank statements were required.
No problem visa posted back within 2 days ,excellent service.

Thanks for that excellent service as ever
-
Thanks for the info thats cleared that up lovely
Single entry it is then, apply for extension with at least 21 days left on visa
Am I correct ?
Could you please confirm which application form i use for extension and is form available here for
download
Thanks in advance

OK cheers for the info will try that.
Will translation need certifiying and if so do the shops provide this or is it a MOFA job ?
Thanks
-
It seems i may have got this wrong way round and that we get translation first then go wifes local amphur
for new i.d and name change on tambien bahn.
Then go MOFA for new passport.
Can anyone confirm this ?
Any recommendations for a good translation shop near nana bts ?
I think i may of put this in wrong section as i had no replies to my o.p
mods please feel free to move to new section if necessary thanks
Hoping for a response this time round

My first one year visa was a non-immigrant "O" and I had to leave every ninety days. I wasn't aware of it at the time, but I believe if you leave and return toward the end of your one year you can actually get almost 15 months stay in Thailand with that type of visa, as you'll get a new 90 day stamp when you re-enter. Maybe someone else can verify that.
So assuming financial requirements can be met i.e 40,000B per month based on marriage to thai can an extension of stay be applied for within first 90 days or is it better to wait until your last border run ?
I was thinking along the lines of obtaining NON 'O' in the UK and coming to LOS,entering on said visa
and applying for the extension before my 90 days were up.
Basically to save me the hassle of a border run.
Any advice chaps

So go MOFA Laksi for English to Thai translation would that be ok for uk marriage
cert to thai also ?
As wife wants to change name in passport.
Please advise if similar experience and i realise we have to change i.d card at local amphur
and was hoping MOFA translation and stamp would suffice for this also.

Just a quick update,
Biometrics done 10 Feb 2023
Passport collected 31 March 2023 with Entry Visa validity 90 days
This was standard service, we didn't pay the extra for priority service.
Very pleased with outcome and service.
Hope this info helps
