  1. I have been living in Thailand for almost 10 years now. Each year I have returned to the US for my annual physical, taxes, and to visit family. Each time I obtained a Non-OA long stay VISA at the Royal Thai Consulate in Los Angles. I am now 75 going on 76 (May) and cannot find any health insurance for my age in Thailand. I am planning another trip to the US in March 2020. I am looking at a Non-O VISA married to Thai this time and apply for extended stay based on marriage once I get back in Thailand. I have a documented retirement income in excess of 165,000 Baht per month but don’t have the 400,000 in the bank.  My wife has house book, Thai ID and Passport. Additionally, I have an adopted Thai son. What are my best options? Does anyone have some suggestions for me? Thanks in advance.

  2. I looking for a good Dentist in or around Udon Thani. Would like a well trained (possible US trained) to replace a gold crown and possible extraction of a very loose tooth. Any assistance is very much appreciated.

  3. I am having problems with my internet access as well. The last week or so; it has been slower than usual. Calling TOT does not seem to help much. I'll be making a visit on Monday at the main office in Bungkan.

  4. My wife (US/Thai) and I (US) are planning a road trip in the middle of September 2014. We live in a small village near Seke/Bung Kan a two hour drive east of Udon Thani. We are going to drive our Toyota Pickup (four door, automatic, 4X4)(approximately 11 hour drive) to Chang Mai and want a leisurely trip with a stopover somewhere half way for the night. Does anyone have suggestions as to route and possible place to stop over (reasonable Hotel, etc)? Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

  5. I am an American living here in Thailand (five years with my American/Thai wife (30+ years)). My wife’s niece had a child (a boy now 3 years old) and he has lived in our home since birth (supported by my wife’s house registration). My niece and her ex-husband have parted ways and neither of them wants to care for him. Both have agreed to sign over custody to us. After this is done, we plan to go to the Thai Courts to adopt him. Has anyone done this? Any suggestions or help would be very much appreciated.

  6. I have a 1 year multi-entry Non-O visa issued in Los Angles CA (USA) at the Thai Consulate. I arrived in Thailand on March 20. My Thai wife asked a friend about my visa status and he said that I need to leave the country to do a 90 day in order to keep my visa valid. I thought that with a 1 year non-O visa I only needed to report my address every 90 days. Does anyone have any current information or advice on this subject.

    Thanks
