Been going to Thailand for about 36 years and still never used one, cos I am not sure how. We need a You-tube video explaining all the ins and outs, pros and cons and dangers or joys of using them.

Try it. Make sure you don't get your elbow wet.

Thats what I'm afraid of, I'm sure I am going to saturate my trousers, paper roll and anything else in the stall.

Actually, just remembered on the last trip (about a month ago) I tried one of those fancy inbuilt ones at Terminal 21 and quite enjoyed it, but that is a different proposition than a bum gun.

  2. Three hours, who cares? Unless you are an alcoholic.

That was my 1st thought too, but it could be annoying if your at the supermarket and want to buy some for that evening, but then have to come back in peak hour traffic just to get a bottle or 2.

And its not like that law is going to help alcoholism, and if its a school-kid thing whats wrong with ID tags.

Our Australian electricity bill tops $1000 for the summer quarter. Maybe $600 each other quarter. My gas bill is average $250 a quarter. That's for 3 of us but our daughter is only 2 .

Shopping food bill is about $300 a week. We eat pretty well. But nappies are in that and they're expensive. Water bill is around $200 a quarter.

Add mortgage and cars and the rest of life costs in its crazy really.

    Just a comparison for you.

How about comparing the average wage in Australia to the average wage in Thailand. Then perhaps you might have a better understanding !

That's what I've been thinking, it might be cheap for us but sometimes I wonder how the Thais can afford to live.Cars are dearer here than Australia yet there are lots of new expensive cars out there on the road. Electrical goods like TV,s are dearer, phones are dearer, petrol is about the same as Oz, houses seem to be about 1/3 the price yet the average wage is about 5 times higher in Australia. I guess the actual living costs (taxes, electricity, water, food, clothes) are cheaper but I am sure we are better off

  4. Last week was on Suk Soi 19 and wanted to go with my thai wife and daughter to the Grand Palace, as my daughter hasnt been there since she was a kid.

Missus stopped 4 taxis before she found one who would go, all saying the traffic was too bad. 5th one took us and the traffic wasn't too bad at all.Was that happy with his service gave him a 40 bht tip.

    Can't work them out.
