  1. Does anyone know how seriously they take the color blindness test? I can see the traffic light colors no problem, but that little book they use for testing of one's abiility to see color, has numbers I just cannot distinguish. I'm concerned because on the medical certificate (is it still required to renew a five year driver's license) it states I am color blind.

For what it's worth, the CM immigration department now claims it will take one month to process a Certificate of Residence - but if you slip down the row past the photocopy office, where there is someone who can help get it sooner. Sure, they can for 500 baht fee. deliverable the next day. I paid it because what else can you do when your license expires soon, but the flagrant rip-off just smacks one in the face.

  2. Jun needs a home

A very special, 6 year old, male neutered Japanese Spitz, all white color, needs a new home. His owner travels too much and he is alone much of the time. A forced move to a condo from a house with yard, makes the move imperative for the dog. He is an inside dog most of the time, an excellent watch-dog, loves to be with people, and prefers to sleep indoors with his master(s).

He has been vaccinated regularly, kept bug-free, and is a bit chubby due to inactivity. His name is Jun-Jarn, but also answers to "Buddy." Jun is a lovely dog, very meek but protective of his owner. He does not like cats or small children. He would be excellent for older children or a person who spends a lot of time at home. He would be an excellent "buddy" for them.

If you would like to meet Jun and think you may have a home suitable for him (he prefers at least a small yard where he can sit and watch during the day), please contact me at [email protected].
