The PPP have won despite the army, EC etc etc using under-hand tactics, just imagine how many more seats the PPP would have won if it was a fair election. The people of Thailand have spoken so let it be, the Thailand is made up of many provinces not only middle-class Bangkok....

It was a sad and worrying time across the land, as the unknowing were tricked by the evil into thrusting open the gates of hel_l, thus releasing evil from banishment to walk and rule over all in the Kingdom.

As the stench of the first breath of evil fell across the land, dark ominous clouds began to gather. Signs of impending flames, smoke, and the blood of revenge were beginning to seep up from the depths. All the while in banishment the evil prepared it's jagged blade for the first thrust into the heart of the guardian.

The once happy land was now becoming a place of anxiety and fear, and the people started to feel helpless to stop the evil. People from far off lands that decided to call the Kingdom their new home, were beginning to sense that they may be called from their homeland to leave. As the darkness gathered, impending battle became more likely.

The evil had already gathered the souls of the new leaders, and was dispensing them to carry out the tasks of gathering the reigns of the guardian's army, and striking down all resistance. Once that was done the evil could rape and feed on the land as it had done before, sucking the life giving essence for itself, and once again planting it's evil seed in every vein.

There were only two hopes to save the land before the evil could claim it for itself. The first hope lies in the wisdom of the new clan wizards. The new clan wizards have the ability to remove the power of the leaders if they stray too far with yellow and red magic spells. The old clan of wizards were possessed by the evil and they were disbanded by the keepers of the book of law. However the new clan of wizards power is limited, if the evil one become too strong the spells will be useless.

The last hope is with the guardian, however the guardian must act before the evil can take control of the guardian's army, thus removing the only remaining check in the way of total power over all.

However the guardian must take care before unsheathing the sword of power. The evil one has the ability to change appearance and it can cause the guardian to look evil, and the evil one to look good, thus turning the people against the guardian. The guardian must only unsheathe the sword of power when the evil is ready to strike. Only then can the illusion be temporally overpowered. However the evil has the power of time, and can slowly turn the people against the guardian as the evil pretends to be good. The young are most susceptible to the evil illusion. Because of this the battle must be decisive.

The sword of power is dangerous to those who wield it. If the sword of power is left unsheathed for too long, it can intoxicate the mind and turn the mind from good to evil. This is because the sword of power is blind. Only those with the purest hearts can wield it for extended times.

There is dark times ahead in the land for all.

Looks like many people need to pray to Hindu God Lord Shiva the destroyer of EVILS to save the once happy land .

May the dark clouds disperse and imprisoned up in the cold dark mountains where evil belongs and the long awaited sunshine arrive

Personally, I think that he has a lot to offer Thai politics, far much more than all of the failures (Banharn, Leekpai, Meechai etc, etc) that are still swarming around the trough and likely to find themselves in considerable positions of power.

This is the point of this post. Although I see a democrat coalition government being formed as only being an outside chance - these politicians crave power & with the PPP they know once the cookie has crumbled they will be left with crumbs, if anything. With a democrat coalition they know they will have real power.

So unless some serious money changes hands (tens of billions of baht IMO), I think most of the minor parties would theoretically side with the democrats unless they see a mass exodus to the PPP.

As long as Toxin is not back to pollute everything, the cash flow is still managable at a controlled level. But once he is back, can imagine all charges dropped and account unfreezed! That will be the time to see a mass exodus !

As reported yesterday, his government cost the country to lost some 180 billion baht?? What about those unseen and untraceable?

Just look at the reported wealth of his whole family before he took office and after he was kicked out after the coup. And that is what was reported. What about those that was not in his / or other family name? Those that was transfered and safely hidden overseas etc

No other former or future government can match that amount of money 'stolen' from Thailand!

I fully understand how you feel about your maid quitting without any notices.

My maid quit after 3 years too.

Her behaviour is more strange than your maid.

On 9th April, she needed to 'go back home in up-country' because her brother was released from prison. Then he will be deported and she will not have any more chance to meet her brother .She would like to visit him and then return before SongKran festival.

She is 'suppose' to return on 12 April.

I asked if she has enough money to go back and she replied that she can manage. So, I gave her extra of 1,500 baht.

Her salary with me is 3,500 baht each month. But there is additional of 1,000 baht for washing my car.

If I have entertainment at home and she need to stay up late, I pay her over-time like 100 to 200 baht each time. This over time happens about once or twice each month only. So on the average, her salary is about 5,000 baht each month.

Then there is also the 13 month bonus that I gave her each April for SongKran.

I renew her work permit each year and that cost another 3,800 baht which I fully paid for her.

I also buy her toiletries like soap and samphoo , instand noodles , cakes etc nearly every week. Sometimes, I give extra like 200 baht for her to buy new clothings. When I go to the market with her, I will slip another 100 baht for her to buy her favourite food / fruits etc.

On 12 April when she did not return by night time, I called her. She told me that she will return only on 14 April. So, I advised her to book her bus ticket to make sure that she can return on time.

But she never return.

I called her number, but she was out of reach. ( She changed her sim card !! )

I was frustrated as my breakfast is prepared by her according to my taste. Now, I need to prepare it myself.

My bedroom need tidying , my car need washing and my floor need mopping etc etc...

My lunch and dinner is not the same anymore. I need to prepare everthing by myself. When she was with me, she knows exactly what I want as she is well train and I just need to put those things on the table and she will chop and prepare my meals according to my taste.

Had to train up a new maid. But her standard is not comparable to my former maid. Kicked her out after one month.

Train up another 2 maids, now hopfully, they can give me some peace at home when they handle the house chores. But again they were not up to the former maid standard. 2 maids vs 1 maid and still not on par.

I checked around and finally have news about her whereabout. I went all the way down there to meet her and spoke to her.

She is working in a foodcourt. Her salary is just 4,500 baht. She need to work from 9.00am to 9.00pm. She need to pay for her own room - 1,500 baht.

So, she only left with just 3,000 baht !

I made an offer for her. Increase her last salary by another 1,000 baht. If she returns, she can get back her bonus of 5,000 baht with me too. ( Actually , I had intended this amount for her for Songkran this year)

She made all kind of excuses. Told me that she need to wait for her salary which her present employer held by ( as a form of deposits ) . Her salary will be 2 weeks late.

She will need to give 2 weeks notice.

She will think over carefully my offer for her and let me know etc etc etc.

2 weeks later, she told me that her salary is still not paid. I did not want to wait further. So, I told her that I will pay her what was due by her present foodcourt operator and she can just quit her job there. Since she has given the required 2 weeks notice, she has done nothing wrong.

Again she promise to return by needs another few days to sort things out.

One week later, I called her and she let someone speak to me instead ! Keep on giving all sorts of silly excuses like not around, busy etc etc.

That is the worse behaviour I ever experienced.

She was not behaving like that when she work for me for the past 3 years. She is honest, clean and hardworking.

Now, after 6 months, I am still in search of that elusive maid that can really work .

BTW, I am firing one of my maid this saturday. So, there goes and only one maid to handle things at home. There will be more interviews and training..........

imho Giorgio has very good pasta dishes. There are two branches: one in the city center, and and a new one at Kad Farang. My favorite pasta there is lingiune (spelling?) with italian sausage and cream sauce.

I am a fan of Georgio Italian resturant too. When I called them last night for a reservation, there was no one answering the call. I thought that they were extremly busy or the line was not properly connected at the socket.

So, I went there and found the place closed

The only thing that bothers me is that show-time starts only at 1.00 am. Too sleepy !

The coyote male dancers are sexy and they really tried their best to put up a good show.

Same goes to those ladyboys that makes the entertainment with much laughters too.

So, for those wanting a fun night there, maybe you should have a good evening nap before venturing there at 12.00 midnight.

Those replicas made in Bangkok looks just as good like those from Japan ! Was told by some shops that 'the boss' bought them from Bangkok ..... lost the track in finding where is the actual source .

I am looking for a manufacturer that is making those artifical replica food in Bangkok. But I could not find any when googled.

The items is made from plastic or rasins but not candles.

Anybody that has come across such a shop? Please give me the infos.

River sand is rather expensive . I had made some order before and it cost about 1/2 filled 50kg bag = 45 baht! But they are beautiful and it is light pinkish in colour. If talking about the quantity you need, it will be very difficult to fulfill.

Mostly, the sand from ChiangMai are from the 'mountain quary' . The quality is not that good as it contains mud and soil.

Funny thing is that when Mrs T wanted some money and asked permission from BOT to transfer cash out so that she can buy a house.

Now buying a club does not need money from Thailand anymore as the accounts has been frozen?
