  1. Guys this is serious, please help if you can!!!

    Where is Niza?

Niza Engdahl was kidnapped from her school in Hua-Hin last week on Wednesday March 2nd. After watching surveillance tapes we know that it is Niza's birth mother Surat Enmak who has taken her, which is not good news in any way. The father, Henrik Engdahl has received full custody of Niza by Thai courts as Surat was deemed unfit. In fact, her own father has contacted Henrik to stress the importance that police find her as he feels the daughter is very unstable and capable of anything at this point.

What's also peculiar is the school's behavior in all this – first they let Niza go to a stranger whom Niza herself said she did not know (this of course being against all safety regulations) and then, a few days ago the headmaster of the school sent an email to concerned parents stating that Niza had been found and was home safely, which is not true at all!

Niza Engdahl is four years old and she is a Thai and Swedish citizen, she speaks and understands both languages. If you have information of her whereabouts please contact the father directly on: 0822433115 or email removed per forum rules

If you have any other helpful information please write to us under the guest book tab

  2. Last time I was in Paris (2007)then traffic was bad, didn't see any changes sice I was there the first time 95...

I don't think any software will sort out the traffic in Bkk,you need to do better infrastructure and educate dirvers and the police too.

Mostly I see the police standing at the roadside waving for everybody to move when the traffic is in a jam,or talking with each other..

  3. So does this mean 3 visas total from all time periods/embassies in your passport? Or three in a row from Penang. I think they already cut you off in Penang after three in a row from them. Does anyone know?

And not everyone on consecutive tourist visas is working or being illegal. I am considering marrying a Thai man... but knowing what you know about all of the horror stories, would you fast-track a marriage in this situation? Or would you rather stick around a while and be sure before making that step? I make my money at home, and am renting an apartment in the meantime until we marry (maybe this fall). Yes there are divers and whatnot working illegally on 3,456 back to back tourist visas, but everyone has their own reason for being here longer than typical tourism. Not all of us are here stealing Thai jobs, money, being losers, or <deleted> off the system for kicks.

what if get marry with a thai citizen as farang ?

how long visa do you get and how?

You can get a "O" visa for 1 year, but you have to leave every 90 days.

If you apply in your home country you don't have to show any bank statement for 400,000 bath (I didn't anyway)

If you apply here in Thailand thay request a bankstatment....

  4. True that Thai have slipped down the scale to be a B-player with the old and dodgy planes..

I still fly with then only for one reason,it have direct flight to Bkk from where we live.

And with small children that's a big benefit, other then that I'll stay away from Thai...

I hope they can shape up,it was a good airline some 10 years back...

  5. Hua Hin is getting to many farags these days,it was better 5 years ago,but still a nice place to go for a long weekend or so.

Night market is a must, maybe not for the shopping but for the nice seafood...

We usually go in low season then there is more of a Thai feeling, but still to many mew farang getton built around Hua Hin,and I'm a farnag saying this...

  6. Firstly, I know I know, this has been asked many times before and there is information about it on the net however after doing some research I've found myself even more confused as the information is conflicting.

Just got enaged to my Thai girlfriend and I promised to buy her a car. I won't be driving it (I'm happy with my Vespa) however I want the car in my name seeing as I will be paying for it in full.

Most of the information on the net states that I need a non-immigrant Visa (which I don't qualify for) However today I visisted the Thai immigration office here in Sydney and the senior advisor said I can buy a car on a tourist visa without any problem. :o

Is there a difference between having a car registered in your name and having a car bought in your name or are they one of the same?

Can anyone help me out here. thankyou in advance.

Hi check this web page, they can also help you with everything..Good luck

  7. Maybe they should really skip the whole 3G thing and start working on the next generation HDSPA or what's it called.

Bottlenecks are not the reason at all. They simply can't organise themselves to issue licenses to operate 3G. So far they only gave permissions to test on existing bands, that's why it might appear weird - they use only frequencies they've been assigned ages ago for regular GSM.

It's not clear if NTC alone is legally empowered to issue 3G licenses and allocate new frequencies, for that they need to establish NBC first (National Broadcasting Commitee) but the process has already taken more than ten years and it's nowhere near the end.

They should go for HSDPA (turbo 3G),that will give a surfing speed of up to 7,2Mbps maybe higher later on,I use it everyday, and I don't miss a intrnet connection at home.

I can download music, movies with out any problems.. :D

The question is if the operators can find services to attract the customers..,we have live streaming of music, news,tv etc so there is a lot to play around with. :o

  8. :o I had a meeting this week with LMG
