Hello!
There are now 5 years I am in Thailand with a Non-O visa. I discovered that with a Non-OA is not necessary to go each 90 days to the Immigration office. It's possible to change my Non-O to a Non-OA visa without to get out from Thailand? I am a Swiss citizen.Thank you very much. -
If you are in Cha-am you have to go to Ta Yang, 25 Km north from Cha-am.Very, very nice, very "speedy".Take also a copy of your location contract.

Thank you very much. Immigration = Ta Yang

If Ubonjoe is free....
For a retirement visa what about make a "fix deposit" with 800K for , let's say 24 month???
In this case the 2 month before, 3 month later... we can forget.
I didn't saw any topic about that.
What do you think?
Thank you,
-
Hi!
4 years before I had exactly the same problem like you. I was Customer Service (wire, cable, plastic industry), self employed.
The only solution I found in Thai it was to have "a tourist visa", a "Multi entry", so you can entry-exit many times.
The problem was to find the money to make a "good" deposit to have the visa.
But I used this system during 6 years, any problem.
Good luck!

7 days maximum. You may need to show a flight ticket within those 7 days.
Thanks a lot.

I have a 15 days TV from the Cambodia border. Can I extend it for 30 days at an Immigration Office? I have to use a TM7 or an other form?
Thanks a lot.

Only 100k in a bank account for a Non O multi entry? Not 800k??? And not a minimum time in the Thai bank account?
Be sure to take proof of 100k in bank account as KL wants to see that for the multi entry non immigrant O visa issue. But that is likely the best place to apply in are area. -
Bad news, but thank you very much.
The most you could get would be 7 days. You would probably need a ticket out of the country within those 7 days. -
I got a 30 days TV in Suwana airport and I'd like to know if is possible to extend it for an other 30 days in Pattaya Immigration Office.
Thanks,
-
It is not clear to me if you have only used one entry of a two entry visa or you are saying you are on the 2nd entry. From the date mentioned I would suspect you are on the first entry so if you return before Feb 19th you will receive a new 60 day stay using the second entry of your current visa and you can then extend that stay another 30 days at immigration if you wish.
On third read I suspect what is valid until Feb 19 is your current permitted to stay and not your original visa use before date? So you have used your visa entries and now, unless you obtain a new visa, will only get a 30 day stamp on a return by air.
Unfortunately I'm on the 2nd TV from Vientiane, so only 30 days ()I'm coming back by air). Thanks.

Without a Visa you will get a 30 day entry stamp.
Thanks

I'm Swiss citizen and I have my 2nd entry from my "double tourist visa"form Vientiane running. This visa is valid until 19 Feb 2010. Next week I have to make an unexpected travel out of Thailand for about 2 weeks. What will happen when I arrive back at Suvarnabhumi airport? I'll be allow to come back in Thai? And what kind of visa, for how long time I'll receive (if I'll receive one!!!).
Thanks,
-
Thanks for all the information, but what does it mean "TC"???

...Note. You still have to do your 90 day report on 16th December.
OK, I'' go before 07 Nov and on 16 Dec for the 90 days report. Thanks for all.

...So if you put all this together I see that you need to renew your retirement status before 7 Nov.2008.
Tanks for the answer. Anyway I'll go before the 7 Nov, I'm enough confused like that!!!
-
... I have a retirement visa from 03 Oct 2007 with expire date=07 Nov 2008.
...
Thank you for the answer but I forgot to say that my visa is a retirement visa, multiple entries. In this case I can get out from Thai before 7 Nov and when I come back (1 week later) I'll receive the last 3 month???No, you cannot, for the simple reason that you are quite obviously totally confused about the permission to stay in Thailand you currently have and would most likely do the wrong thing.
You say you have a multiple-entry retirement visa. This would mean a multiple-entry non-O-A visa issued by a Thai consulate. However, if it was issued on 03 OCT 2007 it would be valid for travel to Thailand until 02 OCT 2008, but you say that it is has the expiry date 07 NOV 2008.
I know the terminology can be confusing sometimes and I think the best thing for you to do would be to scan and post the visa and the stamp in your passport that is your current permission to stay or alternatively post the text of those stamps word by word. This will let us see what you really have and advise you accordingly.

Thank all for the answers.
I have a retirement visa obtained in Immigration Jomtien, see all the documents.

The 15 months people are talking about is for a on-year multi entry visa. On this visa you have to leave the country after 90 days and come back right in. By leaving and entering the country just before this visa expires you get an extra 90 days, or almost 15 months.
You have are here on a single non-immigrant visa, which you have extended to 1 year. This means you don't have to leave the country every 90 days, just report your addres every 90 days to immigration. I presume you enterd Thailand on your visa on 3 Oct. 2007 and got an extension for 1 year on 7 Nov. 2007. So yes, you need to ask for an extension of stay before 7 nov. 2008. Do it about 3 weeks before.
Thank you for the answer but I forgot to say that my visa is a retirement visa, multiple entries. In this case I can get out from Thai before 7 Nov and when I come back (1 week later) I'll receive the last 3 month???

Hi, I have a retirement visa from 03 Oct 2007 with expire date=07 Nov 2008.
I was today in Jomtien for a 90 days renewal the next date they put on my pass is 16 Dec.2008.
Up to me in this date I have to ask also for a new visa, BUT the lady on Immigration advise me I have to ask a new visa BEFORE 07 Nov 2008.
Can someone explain me the "15 month" all people speak about?
Thanks,

Singapore and Penang will issue with financial proofs as far as we know.
Lopburi3 forgot me! I receîved only a 3 month , single entry visa in Sing. I was asking for an extension of my old O, multy entries visa, swiss pass.

I have a Multi O (married status) visa which runs out in October. Can anyone tell me if the Thai Embassy in Singapore still issues these visa's, as it is where i obtained mine last year! Can I also apply before the old one expires as my chances to get to Singapore in October are slim!
I was in Sing in August for an extension of my O visa. I had all the papers, y.c more than 800k in a Thai Bank. Result: 3 month single entry O visa!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have ADSL 256 from TOT and use 'totadsl.th.com' for sending mails with my mail client. But since three days now is the SMTP server down and I always have to open that boring Webmail.
Does anybody know something about this? I live in Roi Et.
Mails sent to TOT are not answered.
syntoh
Same problem in Ban Amphur, ADSL silver (500).
2 possibilities: for your connexion (TCPIP) use "IP automatic address) = but very slow!
2nd: let the last IP address and for the DNS use: 203.146.237.237 // 203.146.237.222
If you do that you have to connect to "192.168.1.1" (for me, I thinck same for you) and choise DNS, put the same values and press SUMIT
Good luck

The Dell representative in Thailand is a shame!!!
I have a Dell laptop from Europe (4 years old) and I need a floppy drive.
I contact Dell Bkk and after 2 weeks I had the cotation (holliday, tomorrow,...).
When I received the cotation they asked my to pay with my credit card and they ask me all about it: name, validity, number AND the NIP !!!
I payed by check but and in this moment they advised me that the delivery time will be 10 to 15 working days!
But after 3 weeks I still nothing received and any answer of my emails.
I tried to send an email to the head quarters in USA, no way, they send me back to the Thai representative.
Anyone has an address for the USA?
