Another serious issue that will never, ever be resolved.

Seems that it was referencing a requirement at the Embassy to obtain the affidavit, not Thai immigration. Wrong again.

Can I just point out that "57% were of any use," is NOT "more than half of them are not working"
You can point it out, but you you are wrong.
High tourist area - 382 cameras only 219 or 57% were of any use.
All of Pattaya - 2,112 of which 47% are of use.
Have another Leo, then read and comprehend fella.

Now they all know it's only a 10,000 baht fine! I wonder what they do now? ( Or not do)

Having an accident is one thing, leaving the scene (specially after having rechecked how the scene looks like) would be manslaughter in many more civilized countries where law enforcement has reached the 21st century.MAnslaughter is when someone dies, no one died here.

I just added it to the classifieds titled Chaiyapruk 1.
assuming pictures would help
I agree completely. But then again, any and all additional info would help.
IMO anyone that is really serious about finding a place to rent will call for the extra info.
But that's just me.
I am not an agent and don't need looky loos, no shows or ASSUming people. lol

I have a house for rent on Chaiyaphruek 1 at 2nd road. Big house at small price. pm me.

I read somewhere on Thaivisa about a Thai guy at a market on Soi Nermplubwan. All the way to the upper end at the Wat, market on the left.
The guy will fit you then and there if you are looking for straightforward simple glasses (spectacles), like 500 baht. I need for distance only.
Went there today and was told by another vendor that he comes on Tuesday and Saturday. Just a friendly FYI.

Had True for 7 years, dropped it 5 years ago. I tired of the repeats and commercials (no commercials the first couple years). Use Sophon, usatvnow and torrents.
I don't miss/need true and am happy with the savings.

Rykbanlor hit the nail on the head. That's a very plausible explanation right down to waiting a couple days to figure out what to do.
As he says, waiting a few days? That's exactly what they did.
There is no way the proprietor would not go to get money for rent when the girls didn't check out on time.

It's a while since I've been down to Pattaya and Jomtien but I always used to enjoy the breakfasts at Yorkies, the English pork butcher in Beach Road. What's the latest on it? :-)
Yorkies (S of Chaiyapruk) is no more as of 2 years ago. Kaput, gone, out of business.

Hey folks, TIT, a third world country. you are not in your home country. You will find this situation at all dealerships. Not all dealers all the time, mind you, but most dealers most of the time.
I have a Captiva, always take it to the dealer for scheduled service. They apply the recall fixes, I pick it up - no problems. There is really no need to know every single detail about everything they fix. You know the recalls have been applied - that's enough. Again TIT, get over yourself or you'll be constantly complaining.
To write off a complete manufacturer because of the way a dealership acts in Thailand is nuts.

As for best place here in Pattaya, I like the tire shop on the left side of Suk as you are headed north, and about 200M or so before the intersection with North Pattaya road.
Agree about the above Sukhumvit tire shop. I have 19 inch tires. Just replaced Hankook after 60,000 KM(2 1/2 years). Garage said don't wait that long again.
235/45/19 paid 7,200 each for Hankook. Went to 4 other shops, was quoted 9,900 to 8,000 baht for he same tire.
No-one carried another brand in my size.

road tolls refers to the fee to use the road as far as i am aware, and yes they seem high
I thought they were talking about highway fees also.
Title should be Road Death Toll.

Just bought a new LG plasma TV. I have Sophon cable and now receive the BIO channel on #87.
The sound is good, the picture is a little snowy, but watchable.
I also have older Panasonic and Samsung plasmas - they do not receive the BIO channel.

OMG, if her face matches that body!!! Ahh, who cares. WOW!

I didn't read every post on this, but I saw the link in post #49 to a youtube video.
The picture at the top of this topic is from the youtube set (see at 2:02).
The youtbe photo show the actuall length of the skirts, which is much longer.
Somebody doctored the photo, now who was it!

Started taking Ginkgo years ago for tinnitus. Noticed an increase in mental ability after a couple weeks, did not previously know of this effect.
It also cured my tinnitus. Initial dosage was double the recommended amount, then when tinnitus disappeared, normal dose as written on the bottle.
Still take it occasionally when tinnitus acts up.
-
Oh, the poor boys. Perhaps we should give them some food and send them on their way. Hopefully they won't kill anymore.
-
Tinnitus cure (temporary) that has worked for me - Gingko Biloba.
Initial treatment is to take double the recommended dose until the ringing goes away.
Give it about 2 weeks to go away, then take maintenance dose.
I have had it for 25 years. It comes and goes, whenever I get it (like now)
I take 1 GB tab after every meal, after 1-2 days it goes away.
I have had friends try this method and it has not worked for them, although I
don't know if they followed my recommendation.
I am not a doctor. Good Luck!

Thanks Geroc have PMd you & another question we have , does anyone know , can we use our spare Blackberry from Australia in Thailand as a local phone by installing a Thai Simcard ,???? or do we have to buy a new Handset there to get a Thai phone number ??
Thanks for info
Jack
Thailand uses GSM network. Blackberry will work with GSM. Buy a Thai SIM card for it. The SIM card will be your local Thai phone number.

"VERY nice village on the outskirts"
I think that says it all. Very, very difficult to sell 'outskirts' property in down markets.
I live 500 meters to the beach. All houses have 100+ wah. All are 3-4 bedroom, 4 bath.
Wiiide streets and on the pattaya baht bus route.
The house across from me has been for sale since I moved in 3 years ago. They are asking
only 5M baht.
Forget about selling, and it will be difficult to rent also. Put a sign out front for rent, don't go thru an agency. Perhaps a neighbor has a friend that will rent.
Otherwise you seem like an intelligent person, so perhaps you have already taken these steps.
the houses or the land on which the houses are located?
The whole kit and caboodle. I'm letting the 'secret' out - Jomtien Beach Paradise
Advise for first time building a new house. What mistakes did you make, what would you (NOT) do again.

Build the minimum for your comfort. Don't overdo it or you will lose baht. You'll thank me later.
