It's obviously a True problem. So sites will connect but no content comes through. Then set my VPN to Closest Locations (Thailand / Singapore) and it loads immediately.

Yes, VPN is the best solution to work around True's crappy servers.

They use transparent proxies, that's the main reason for all the failures which go on for years. But even if you use their official proxy, it is on/off, never works more than a few days.

The land of smiles, mai pen rai and everything will be OK is a big myth. Violence in Thailand is nothing new. People kick dogs for fun every day, yell at each other on a regular basis and their TV shows are full of shooting, cheating, lying, bitching and killing.

There are some wonderful people in Thailand, and I love living here. But for sure, there is more violence here than back home, although it's hardly peaceful there on a Friday or Saturday night. Different levels and reasons for violence.
