  1. They used to be cheap.

I used to fly to Xiamen, they had a low advertising fee of about 999 baht. But if you add this and that like all the fees mentioned the price comes really close to a normal legacy carrier. However for a legacy carier their isn't a rush to board the bus or plane since seats are assigned. You wouldn't believe the rush I was in with a couple of hundred Chinese people. It was madness.

No food or drinks, overpriced on the plane. I think a cup of MaMa was like 80-100 baht per cup.

yup...add few hundreds baht you can get TG. Wonder what happen to that route? they changed it to HK instead to Xiamen? Anybody knows?

I recently looked at their price for BKK-JKT-BKK, twice as much from Garuda Indonesia. I choosed GA though it will fly in the middle of the night.

  2. We used Santa Fe for relocating from China to here and from Indonesia to China. Good service!!

But for domestic ( which is we have to pay our own ) is way to much for us, and even our CP recommended us just use the local company.

We paid 12K for 80km distance relocating with 6' truck including 150K insurance covered , with all the services ( packing , unpacking, packing materials, etc)

  3. Does anyone know where I can find Chinese medicine shop here in BKK?

I need migrain and headache pills that 100% chemical free which I before get in China. Since, I wont be getting back there for a while, maybe I can get them here in BKK ?

    Thx alot

  4. Hmm..appearently that 18 pages of posting at the other thread ( and still going i guess) is not enough.

Im not caucasian , at all... but when i started talking then everybody knows Im not Thai..(maybe cuz of my eyes? dunno, never think about it )

Then they always refer me as Farang...So I guess for some Thai ppl , you dont have to be Caucasian to be called Farang..

I dont care whether they call me falang , or my nationality... Its how they say foreigner.

  5. Can someone on ThaiVisa enlighten me considering the following situation.

I am Dutch living and working in Bangkok. I have a job with a Thai company, am on a non-immigrant B and have a Working Permit. So I am secured, my European girlfriend and our son 1 years have come with me and have been living here the past two months on a tourist visa. They are now in their third month and would normally have to leave mid- September. We were planning to get married. What is the best way to go about it to let them stay with me here in Bangkok? Marriage here in Thailand or can I put her as a dependent on my Visa? I make enough money. Or should she go out and get a Non immigrant ED visa (where to get it nearby?). She is in the process in taking over an existing company with the option of getting het own WP but that will take a few months.

So in short: what is the easiest way in letting her and my son stay here, with the littlest trouble?

    Any suggestions? :o

    Wedding bells are a ringing...

Mean while, get visa run to the nearest border.that should do for another 1 month...thats the only solution I think for non married couple here...

  6. A friend of mine just obtained 60 days visa to Indonesia. Apply in the Indonesia embassy right beside Pantip Plaza. Cost approx 40USD ( has to be in US Dollar ) One week proccess.

Ticket return will need to be shown with the application.

What other paperwork did your friend have to show?

Just your ticket return and passport pics along with the appication. It was a month ago and we saw many ppl got kicked out cuz they brought THB instead USD but I dont know now. I guess its all depends on the mood of the cashier then...

So, you don't need to have a letter from a sponsor in indo?

    So:

    1.passport

    2.return ticket

    3.pics

    4.money (usd)

    5. application

No,not at all..its only 60days tourist visa...unless its bussiness and other visas...

  7. Sorry if this is a lame Q, but I have not lived in Bangkok for a few years so I am not current on the "scene." I have a "regular" Thai female friend coming soon to visit me and we may spend a little time in Bangkok. I have heard about the Spice Club in the Ambassador hotel on soi 11. From my earlier days in Bangkok, the Ambassador hotel always had a sorta down-trodden reputation. Is "Spice," their "hip" club/bar any good? Is it like Q-Bar or Bed, by that I mean a place you can go on a regular date, or is it more of a pick-up place for mongers and hotel guests that is full of Thai birds supplementing their day jobs, and where a straight Thai girl might feel uncomfortable, like Spasso or CM2?

    Thanks.

Theres plenty of cool clubs also at Soi Ekkamai which is also nice and more comf for a straight Thai girl

. Santika for example..The biggest crowd i've ever seen which is mixed between straight Thai girls :o ( some of them of course) and bunch of farang...

Gazebo will be another choice...And like other ppl already said , stay away from Spice CLub..

  9. U dont need applying for visa if its only for 30 days, just get VOA at the airport for 25USD. But if you planned to stay more than 30 days then yes you need to get visa before departure. But again, its depend on your nationality because some nationality needs to get visa before no matter how long they will stay

  10. I used to use Henna so much when i was teenagers ( black colour ) .

Lately I started to using again cuz my hair really turn to colour that maybe not on the chart since i tried to make different colour other than black...

I found this Middle eastern convinience shop by accident at Soi Nana noi (Middle easterm street ) and they have henna there but I dont know what you use usually, this that i found excactly like i usually used before..Put in a cup along with a glass of yesterday's tea ( I know it sounds weird , but trust me its worth it)

Maybe you also check it out there.. :o

  11. I flew with Air Asia quite alot (domestic and international )

I had similar problem like that due to my late check in ( My other flight was late arrival ) but since I INSISTED persistently that I need to get on board that day then they agreed me to take the next flight.

They did at first offer me for refund but I said NO firmly so they then got me the seat to the next flight which is only made me wait 3 hours in a LCC airport in Kuala Lumpur.

Well, in my opinion is many Aircraft carriers have some good and bad services. Its all depends on you and your luck..

I had bad experiences with other airlines which is not LCC. So its not a matter of its LCC or not.

Some had good day and some had not...

  12. we have decided to add new member on our family and we are looking for Golden retriver puppy.

    Thx alot b4!
