Where did you deposit/cash the refund check letter?

At the nearby Kasikornbank where I have a savings account. The teller accepted the cheque for deposit without a blink. This is a big and very welcome change.

Below is a scan of the reverse side of the letter. The first sentence says deposit only (i.e. no cash) at any bank where you have an account. There are words to the same efffect in the upper left corner of the face of the cheque.

  2. Thai Revenue issued me a TIN several years ago upon my request at the ground floor in their Jomtien Office. All I needed to say was that I wanted to file for refund of my bank interest withholding.

Only one annoyance: they made me go to Immigration for a residence cert.

FYI, this year I filed online early February, uploaded the requested documents a month later, got my check in the mail another month later. The check needed to be deposited at any major bank at which you have an account. No longer forced to go to Krung Thai Bank.

  3. Had this in one foot for months, finally got  well. then had it in the other foot for another half year.

    Two tips:

    - Never walk barefoot on a hard surface. Not even for a few steps. Find suitable slippers for indoors. Wear flip-flops in the shower. Try  to find a pair of Dr. Scholl's sandals that are not too hard nor too spongy. A little arch support is good, but not too much.

    - Gently stretch your calves several times a day for a count of twenty. Videos available on YouTube. This is a crucial ingredient of healing.

  4. OP made it clear that the black structure was an awning.  Not a house.

Except for the roof material itself, the space underneath, if it truly is fully open to the outdoors, will be the ambient temperature.  Painting it a lighter color would make no difference in the daytime.

Caveat:  heat release from the heat stored in the roof material at night might be objectionable. I would hope the neighbor used a "sandwich" form of insulated steel.

You can... if no other car, and no pedestrian crossing ... but of course... not many care !

The correct answer is:   you may turn left on a red light

    - IF it is safe to do  so, AND

    - IF there is no sign prohibiting it at this location, AND

    - ONLY after coming to a full stop.

  6. There are probably 1 or 2 backflow prevention valves in your system.  Consider a pumproom valve configuration that might prove or disprove proper function. In our village of new homes most pools were built with 100 baht check valves that failed within a month. The builder was eventually compelled to replace all of them with 1,000 baht models that work perfectly.
